Star Wars Legion Painting Guide: AT-ST (2018)

I don't think I commented when I used your technique to paint my AT-ST in 2019. I am really happy with how it turned out and I think this is the best vehicle paint job I have ever done. I really like seeing and hearing your approach to painting models. Keep the content coming.

Really nice paint job. I've seen a few people put rust accents on their AT-STs but it has never quite looked right to me as Imperial equipment always seems so pristine and well maintained. I think I'm going to do blast/scorch marks instead. :)

Nice video, despite early faults :-) I don't know if you're aware, but a search for 1/48 scale At-St star wars kits on Amazon will take you to a supplier from Japan who sells them for €25 (I live in Ireland, so don't know the $ price) each, and they come with a Chewbacca figure, two crew and complete interior cabin detail, for half the price of a Star Wars Imperial Alliance kit, so I'm building an entire force for my Imperial Alliance force, in the right scale (1/48 scale is 25 mm scale when compared) and the supplier doesn't charge shipping. You can also get the 1/48 scale snowspeeder for around the same price, postage free, which looks awesome when placed in squadrons for your Rebel Alliance figures. I like to play massive battles instead of skirmish games, with make-do rules, and there are none in Imperial Assault, and the new Star Wars Legion figures/kits are in 32 mm scale, which are more expensive but do have rules for massed battles coming, so I'm told, but you can just take the Legion rules and convert them to 25 mm scale, or just make your own, like we do.
