Christmas morning, my brother and I would wake our parents around 7:30am. My father would make coffee and set up the old video recorder (tripod, camera, and VCR) and then press record. Then my mom, my brother, and I would walk into the room to start opening presents. The video setup time was excruciating. That reminds me, I have to burn some of those embarrassing Christmas videos...

I fell asleep watching the original Transformers movie. To be fair though, my friends showed it to me at 2am AFTER watching 2.5 hours of the atrocity that is Transformers: The Last Knight. I feel no guilt.

Something crazier than the Sonic/Venom thing is the Spider-Man/Jason Bourne thing 2002: Spider-Man and The Bourne Identity 2004: Spider-Man 2 and The Bourne Supremacy 2007: Spider-Man 3 and The Bourne Ultimatum 2012: The Amazing Spider-Man and The Bourne Legacy 2014: Just The Amazing Spider-Man 2 so this is the combo-breaker BUT 2016: Tom Holland Spider-Man is introduced and Jason Bourne movie comes out 2019: Spider-Man Far From Home and Treadstone (a Jason Bourne series i had no idea existed until like 3 or 4 years later) Edit: I don't know how it happened, but i misunderstood the whole meme xD

But Thor Jar Jar was the key to everything - without being a sith lord. Jar Jar is a giant plot device in TPM. No Jar Jar, and Obi Wan and Qui-Gon getting to Theed becomes just a little more complicated - more than likely they have to stow away in a droid transport, but who know how that would work for timing and saving the queen. No Jar Jar and Anakin doesn't have to intervene with Sebulba, and Qui-Gon and Padme likely try to go back to the ship instead of staying in Mos Espa - and who knows if they survive. Not too mention without that interaction they don't get the idea to use Anakin winning the pod race to get the part - so how do they leave Tatooine - nor do they free him. Assuming they get to Coruscant and Padme talks to the senate, they deny her request. Without Jar Jar, when she goes back to Naboo the Nabooians don't consider getting the Gungans help and they don't have the Gungans as a diversion to distract the Trade Federation and take back Theed. Without Jar Jar most of the plot falls apart. He is the key to everything - though I agree he's not a sith lord.

Seems to me that the Transformers movie inspired modern companies when it came to franchises.
