I've never seen anything quite like this. The sound system together with the lights switching on and off during dialogue to replicate scenes really brings everything to life. It almost feels like being in a museum watching your Millennium Falcon. Amazing job man!
I'm floored. I love this. Such a beautiful piece. Kudos to your hard work. From the model itself to the sounds and lights, this is very awesome. i especially love the magnetic landing gear. Thank you for sharing this.
I always love the millennium falcon since I saw it when I was 5 years old in '77. Still my favorite!!!. The model is absolutely gorgeous, amazing! I want one!
One word: Stunning! The attention to detail is incredible. I saw the original in 1977 opening night after begging my mother to take me. I didn't really know what to expect except from pictures on Time magazine. This 8 year old kid was awestruck from the opening scene. Thanks for sharing this masterpiece.
So glad you like the storytelling! Took me a long time to plan it, but as soon as I heard the voices and sounds coming from the speakers, I knew it was worth it. Thanks!
@@seppunsystems Let's for laughs say you were going to put a price tag on this. What would it be? Looking at your web page, you have some amazing, stunning work.
@@EDGeProjects thanks for checking the website! My works are usually kinda affordable, not on the cheap side though. But for the Falcon(even if not for sale immediatly)... that's a completly different story. Let's say a nice car (but maybe our conceptions of what a nice car is aren't the same 😁)
@@seppunsystems Wellll...maybe maybe not. Here's one of my rides. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VzdlJFacgow.html I have another that I should post a video of but it is not good at all in snow :)
@@seppunsystems I also used to build a lot of models but have gotten more into building Halloween decoration stuff. My Fine Molds Millenium Falcon looks forlorn at me with about 8 years of dust on the barely opened box. My current project is turning the Nerf Aliens M41A pulse into something that looks more film accurate
This is absolutly stunning! A labor of love no doubt. Your attention to detail is second to none, this could be used for shooting in a film sequence. What really sent me over the edge was during the cockpit scene when the falcon was having electrical issues, you could see the controll panel lights come on and off in a way where it made it look like Han and Luke were moving around in the cockpit. Well done!!!
Absolument remarquable !!!!!
@@seppunsystems this must be something done for the love of the project. It would be really difficult to sell it for an amount commensurate with the hours you’ve spent on it and skill involved. Hats off to you. Your dedication is without question. It’s an amazing piece of work.
This is amazing! I'm currently restoring the 2008 Legacy Edition Falcon. It's friking huge, but I can only hope it comes out as good as this. I think Lucas would be jealous! What's your next project???
Thanks a lot, Chris! I think that's the kind of work they could have done at the time if they had the technology. Good luck with your restoration, do your best and have fun (the fun part is the most important one). My next project isn 't really decided yet, it will be either a custom of a Nier Automata DX statue, or building and painting a resin kit from Prometheus' Engineer. In a nearish future I do have some valkyries from Macross (Robotech) to build and the Arcadia from Harlock and sooooo much other things! Stay tuned!
If I had the time and money. This is something I would love to have made and then sell it off to raise money for a charity. This is truly a labor of love.
The only thing that would've made it better would be for all the lights to dance during the Cantina Song; that idea strikes me as both fitting and humorous.
@@MonkeyBox123 I do! I listen to them from time to time. Discovered those guys some time ago, maybe you'll like them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RtYaonTnj2g.html
Kudos for building a V1 (concept). Just imagine a little gyro/gimbal system here and there, plus a little rotation, you literally could have your model behave similarly to the one use during filming.
A kind of gimbal was the original plan, but routing cables inside it wasn't possible. I wanted to have a mechanism as discreet as possible, allowing rotation would have required a very visible one. Choice wasn't easy, I totally agree that rotation and inclination on both X and Y axis would have been awesome.
There's just one thing I wish this had: audio from *_Return of the Jedi_* and obviously Lando Calrissian to add to this. Plus, this year is the film's 40th anniversary.
No spring loaded landing gear? What's wrong with you? It's everything, lol Infinitely fantastc job dude, you are the biggest Aluminum falcon fan ever! Thanks so much for sharing with us your hard work!! Amazing
Hey, thanks! I thought about the landing gear, indeed! But, sadly there is not enough clearance above the front center and front left ones (the main room is above those). I would have loved to motorize those too! Glad you like it! 🙌
Thank you very much! I did make it, it's one of a kind and not visible anywhere (for now?) It's a personal work, but I could be open to offers if they are realistic.
Around 3500h of work, there are some details in the description. Regarding its worth, there are many things to take in consideration: hours spent working, popularity of the work, degree of specialization of said work, wow factor etc... For some people it's worth nothing but for some other ... :)
After seeing an incredibly, stupendously expensive, life sized R2 (20G? I think) that had surprisingly poor functionality for its price I was was ready to scoff at a high-end model, but honestly I love it. It’s all beautiful and I think if shot very carefully could look like the real thing on film but the internal light displays are a highlight for me. The cockpit and Han’s navigation station especially. I have only one less than stellar mark and that’s for the holographic chess pieces that look great but are too large. Lighting at the correct scale might have been a barrier. But that’s a small detail and I love this model. That navigation panel if filmed just right could fool me for being the real thing and the cockpit lights are so cool. Obviously the human characters aren’t photorealistic but they look truly great. Obi Wan is my favourite. I hate to guess what it cost but with a nice beverage (held safely at a distance) I could spend an hour at a time pouring my eyes over it. It makes me want to watch the movie again for the… I lost count long ago… It’s been a few years because of the updated editions being all I can access but this makes me want to watch it anyway🤓
Thanks for you nice comment! There was indeed a scale barrier for the holographic chess pieces, those are a bit too big but are only 4 or 5 millimeters. I could not 3D print anything smaller without losing a lot of details, or the pieces getting deformed. I'm glad it made you feel like watching the movie again, I also lost count of the times I watched it 😊 Regarding how much it would cost, a hunk of junk can get expensive indeed 😉
Thank you! Simply because there is not enough clearance inside the Falcon for them to retract. The main room is above the front center and front left ones :)
Hello John, it's one of a kind. You can't get 'one', you can only get this specific one. It's not for sale right now, but might be in a near future. Feel free to follow me on the socials I've posted in video description for any announcement regarding a sale (or make me an offer I can't refuse there). Thank you for your interest!
This is absolutely incredible. Fanhome (a subdivision of DeAgostini) just re-launched this kit in August, got my first parts delivered yesterday. Where did you get the figures for it?
First question that comes to mind - wonder if he ever sold it, what it would cost. Second Q; how the heck would you ship it? Q3; where on earth would I put it! haha Amazing, thanks for sharing!
To produce smoke when landing? I could. I could also integrate smoke production (clearomiser). I've thought about it but decided not to for 2 main reasons: -smoke (not from dry ice) could damage the paint in the long run. -The Falcon is under a protective cover that I've removed for the shooting and having stagnant smoke is far from ideal. And having visible fans as exhaust for the smoke would not be the most aesthetical thing
I couldn't :) Not enough clearance inside the Falcon above the front center and front left landing gear, the main room is above those. I've thought about it ;) Thanks!
so is the base model available? when I went to the site, it wanted to sell me a magazine but I don't think the translation is coming through correctly.
It's an old model being reissued from time to time. Yes, you have to buy a magazine to get some parts, the model is completed with a bit more than 100 magazines
Thank you. Sadly, there was not enough clearance for the landing pads to retract inside the Falcon. The main room is above the front center and front left ones. Cheers!
