Of course you can, but when you spew racist grifting hate that’s not criticism it’s just hate. You don’t have to like any of it but it doesn’t give anyone the right to be a bigot.
my favorites that you havent mentioned are on Akiva you can find a datapad with a report by Ochi of Bestoon, and the blastmark from greedo's missed shot in the cantina.
So then is Greedo shooting first canon after all? I mean, I know as disliked as it is, all Special Edition changes including that one should be considered canon, but certain supplementary material gives the opposite impression, and they even went out of their way in the "Solo" movie to explain why Han would've shot first.
Did you know that on Tattooine the Pykes will approach Kay to scout locations for a possible “repulser train” to carry spice through the Dune sea. Like that’ll ever be built. I’m sure it won’t have any impact on the native inhabitants. Kind of reminds me of HS2. But I feel like HS2 would take longer to build.
When getting up from a Sabacc table, I heard a patron mention hearing that somebody had won a planet in a game of Sabacc. I'm hoping that's a reference to (I believe) The Courtship of Princess Leia, when Han Solo won the planet Dathomir in a version of the card game. Rerencing that delightfully goofy novel is a win in my book lol.
This channel is an isle of positivity in a sea of the opposite. I appreciate you keep on posting despite your haters. Know that this will pass and your fans will remain.
Also in Chalmun’s cantina there’s a note from Wuher to a staff member with instructions on running the bar while he’s away. Among other things, he reiterates “no droids”. Nice to see Wuher’s droid-phobic attitude is alive n well 😂.
i found a note from kyle katarn, and if you hang out in the tatooine cantina long enough, there’s people having a conversation about how they hope “that old hermit” is ok and him calming down creatures just by holding out his hand! … oof. sorry to those people.
My favorite easter egg is the booth in Chalmuns Cantina where Han killed Greedo and where you can still see a blaster mark near where Hans head would have been, which finally confirms that Greedo shot first or at least at the same time. You can also hear patrons talk about the booth being cursed and that you shouldn't sit there.
Confirms nothing. That's not how canon works according to Hidalgo. Story beats are what matter, not specifics. The only canon part of that encounter is Greedo confronting Han, a shooting occurring, and Han emerging the victor.
I know as disliked as it is, all Special Edition changes including that one should be considered canon, but certain supplementary material gives the impression that Han made the only shot, and they even went out of their way in the "Solo" movie to explain why Han would've shot first.
Teeka makes an appearance in this game (from OWK). Also, there's idle Stormtrooper chatter on Akiva that mentions the Tarkin's Will by name! As for the Purge of mandalore thing, I personally heard it on Tatooine near the Cantina. Mandalore is not directly named tho, it's simply referred to as "The Purge"
I'm *pretty sure* R5-D4 is in Jaunta's Hope. There's a R5 unit that has their motivator stolen, you've gotta go get a new one. The droid looks nearly identical to R5-D4.
I'm guessing he is just a reference since I think I saw another R5 looking droid on Tatooine, plus think he should be serving in the Rebellion currently
On Tatooine, just outside of Mos Eisley I found a bunch of stormtroopers doing (and failing) at target practice. And another stormtrooper somewhere talked about how this is his best assignment yet, because he loves sand. "Who doesn't love sand?"
I loved all the Aftermath references on Akiva. It really brought the location that I'd read about to life. I also thought the game did a fairly good job of not overly shoving major characters and references in Kay's face. The Boba Fett appearance is a good example of this - just show not tell.
I commented on your X post about this video but just in case you don't see it I will mention it here too. In the Bestine cantina there is a couple people talking at a table that make a clear Obi-wan reference. They were on the left side heading towards the elevator in the back down to the landing pad. I don't know if it is something that they say anytime you past them, just the first time, or randomly.
On Toshara in the Pyke Syndicate Cardroom one of your opponents is a Quarren named Tessek - a reference to the original “Squidhead” on Jabba’s sail barge in ROTJ.
Thank you for mentioning that the Jawas in that early episode of Mando are "off-world Jawas". I've been wondering for years how they left Tattooine. Or maybe they just sort of... appear on desert worlds and get to work collecting?
the layout of Tatooine is also directly based off the map in the 1998 Star Wars Complete Visual Dictionary There is a note on Toshara, I forgot where, which references the intro to Dark Forces 2. The note is left by someone who owns a Bryar Pistol and is heading to the Smuggler's Bar on Nar Shaddaa, and mentions that the bartender is always accusing people of causing trouble. There's apparently a reference to the 90's fan film 'Troops' somewhere in the game, I haven't found it yet. I found the datapad mentioning the smuggling YT-2400, it's in the imperial base in the second to last mission.
When Kay gets out of her stormtrooper disguise at the end, she says "I can't breathe in this thing" after removing the helmet. That's likely a nod to Dark Helmet from Spaceballs.
yeah loved the easter eggs Fallen Order and Survivor are overdue my favorite has to be Krayt Dragon from The Marshal from The Mandalorian I go to the Western Dune Sea just encounter it Wonder if its the one Din and Cobb will Slay years Later also The Rogue Infiltrator Skin I bought with my pre-order calls back to all 6 Members of Rogue One.
Question to Answer: I’ve seen people say that Outlaws places the Purge of Mandalore during the time of Empire Strikes Back. I thought it happened back in Star Wars Rebels. Is this referring to when Moff Gideon took the Dark Saber from Bo Katan?
The dead Sarlacc was a weird quest. Probably just leftover legends-brain syndrome but I had always assumed that Sarlaccs were extremely rare in the galaxy and the one on Tatooine was the only one on the planet. Was Jabba feeding people to this other one, and then it died so he pivoted to the Great pit of Carkoon?
i imagine Jabba always favored the great pit of Carkoon. But in the Mandalorian 201 they mention that the Krayt dragon made its home in an abandoned sarlacc pit, so the suggestion that there are multiple on tatooine was already made.
My favorite easter egg that you missed is on Tatooine. Two of the Tatooine Hutt vault key cards are named after two characters from The Book of Boba Fett: Dokk Strassi and Garfalaqoux. Those two characters appear in The Book of Boba Fett as the leaders of the crime family. Thought that was cool.
One thing that can actually make RU-vid sound slow is if you don't have your playback speed set to normal just click the settings button when you're watching a video.
I loved running around a Star War, and enjoyed the stealth, but once I unlocked all The Gunslinger perks, got the Tatooine Gunslinger gear, & Nix's boom ball blast ability; Kay just becomes an unstoppable killing machine, so that made things move much faster.
There's one where a Stormtrooper mentions "night world" when talking about assignments he didn't like. I don't know this is reference to unidentified night world from myths and Fables canon Brook or just a planet like Umbara which is dark.
May the Force be with you Alex and your wife. Thank you for being one of the best RU-vid Star Wars content creators on the platform. The positivity you both have for Star Wars is amazing.
I am the same. I have a terrible aim and suck at guns, but there's a great learning curve in this game and lots of perks and upgrades to help out. I think you'll be fine playing.
Solo: A Star Wars Story:Tales from Vandor, which is an in universe journal about smuggling, and also in the Star Wars Outer Rim board game by FFG. But Outlaws would be the first reference in something more mainstream.
