I don't mind having a fixed character, making the story about someone. I didn't like Cal Kestis until I started playing the games. But if they make a fixed character with a linear story, they should do it properly.

Fr even when an open-world game has a pretty likable, everyman main character, I kind of still wish there was a character creator... It just goes hand-in-hand with open-world games. The whole point of open world is doiong what you want, exploring where you want, forging your own path instead of a linear level by level thing. Having the character be _my_ character that I made adds so much to that sense of immersion. Tbh I don't think I've ever liked an open world game without a character creator except for RDR2

Ubisoft games typically get heavily discounted within the next year to two years after launch, including editions with dlc included. So i'd say if you DO want to play this game, just wait a while and get a better overall deal in the end. I'm a SW fan so obviously i have interest in this game, but it's Ubisoft we're talking about.

Disney bought Lucasfilm which owned LucasArts which was developing 1313. Disney never had plans for making the game itself and was looking to license other publishers to continue the star wars games LucasArts was making(possibly). But later they laid off the whole studio anyways. So the original team, which was the one most interested in making the game, was gone. They would go their own ways and end up in different places.

This game could be fun. She looks half alien and half human. The ending could be absolutely phenomenal. Well, I’m not gonna preorder it to find out though. I’ll let others do it and wait till it’s a few months to get it cheaper if it’s half the worth. Or better yet, if it goes on PSPlus for free.

Problem is Star Wars is meant for kids and nerds who need to believe that good is good and bad is bad because it’s bad you know, can’t make a too profound story for people these days. It’s like when The Force Unleashed game made Galen Marek join the rebellion. For the love of god I prefered him being in his Sith Stalker armor but that was a DLC. I also enjoyed Jedi Academy where it was possible to chose but in base game you could get a red saber without mods.

Does this use the same game engine as Jedi Outlaws? It looks and feels kinda similar in some respects. It looks like it might be an amazing game and hopefully with much to offer. To be honest the visual fidelity, overall, is really good. And the sound design is also good. However, I cannot shake off that "uncanny valley" due to stiff, muppet-style facial animations (and stiff expressions), along with some weird head movements on the human characters (not just the main one, but in this video that female Imperial as well, same problem). It looks like a very high visual fidelity game marred by Bethesda-level NPC faces, it's very distracting. But everything else does look pretty good.

If the game really has space travel, dog fights in space and worlds to travel and explore. Then I'm probably going to get the game. The character is hella ugly but I can look past that if the game play is solid and there is humour in the mainstrory. I never was a Star wars fan. The originals and the subsequent releases in the movies and shows did nothing for me so I don't really care for its lore. I just want the Lazer guns, space travel, exploration and I want it at 60fps on the ps5

why follow the road when riding a speeder? Isn't the speeder floating, moving without wheels? You can go straight through the grass

You can be as big a stan as you want, but you cannot argue that Ubisoft puts out 99% awful stuff with the odd gem once a decade or so
