If you're here from other youtubers videos hi. I've stated multiple times across multiple platforms that I was flown out and given access to the game, disneyland etc. I however was not paid money for the review which alot of people think happened. It was a case of, if I didn't like it, I wouldn't make a video. And in my video I DID mention the parts of the game I disliked. I was there to show gameplay and answer questions. I understand videos like this lose credibility for some people but this doesn't give you the right to attack and harrass creators for their opinions. I even said in my video I'll see how much I actually like it when it comes out. It's not my usual type of game. We had a list of specific things we were not allowed to show such as menu screens, maps, spoilery cutscenes etc, but it was never stated to not talk about the things we disliked. Plenty of people gave neutral reviews. I've given my fair opinion and you don't have to take my word for it. People who know me, know that I find enjoyment in a lot of things, even when others don't. It's just who I am.
German RU-vidr channel PietSmiet, which has over 2 million subscribers admitting that it removed its Star Wars Outlaws preview video and the video itself was subject to a review process from a third party. As part of the review process, the entire video was thrown back and an intermediary agency, not Ubisoft, asked for a lot of changes, especially to the wording at the beginning.
Ubisoft ran a huge and very expensive advertising campaign for Star Wars Outlaws, sending local bloggers to Disneyland and taking them on boat rides to hype up Star Wars Outlaws to their audiences. Ubisoft flew bloggers from the EU to the US so they could play Outlaws for a few hours, then spend a day at Disneyland with VIP tickets, go on a boat ride, and watch whales - all at the company's expense.
Hey, if I got a free vip trip to cali that had whale watching boat rides, I'd make a video praising Starwars or Amazon LOTR crap too. As I recall didn't amazon give you (julie) tickets to a red carpet event to their lotr show and you praising the crap out of it? Certainly no conflicts of interest there right, and we're all just "mad and jealous" and "bullying you" for calling you out right?

@@scapingby She is not a journalist, but since the company is paying for everything so she can have the best experience, do you really think she will say anything bad? And there is a code of ethics whether she is a journalist or not, and this can be reported.

Ngl, people would have believed you to be a lot more genuine if you actually posted this video after or closer to the game release. I mean at least you're getting lots of views now. As for me, I'd rather crap in my hands and clap than play this "game". P.S. You may not have been payed in the traditional terms, but if you look up the term "payment in kind" you'll be able to see the folly in your statement.
I know if you get the 3 day early access version you get the kessel run pack that gives you Han Solos attire for Kay and you have Nix look like Chewbacca. Plus you can give your ship and speeder the same colour type as the Millenium Falcon
I feel ya I'm a console player too.👍 . . . I only play on "PlayStation 5. For me I have a 65"4K 2.1 TV a 2.1 hdmi cable in my room and everything looks beautiful,I don't need a PC because games already look beautiful enough and I play games really good so I love games looking awesome. 👍
many modern ubisoft games have a manuel save but its within gameplay, meaning you have to move your character to your "home base" or "previous explored section" you can go back to and save.
I also had a question myself and I know you only answered to the ones on Twitter, but I was hesitant to ask because I didn’t really hear anyone talk about this in the previews. My question was gonna be: Is there boss fights and how will we handle going against them besides relying on a trusty blaster? Because in the trailers they did tease us with a Rancor, a krayt dragon and even a Star destroyer. But this is probably something in a different part of the game all together. Either way, great video breakdown and seeing you excited for this game makes me happy to show support and get it myself too.
I’m not certain either but love the question! With the Krayt dragon and rancor I hope we do in fact have quest where we fight them and obtain material from them or something. I assume it would an environmental fight where we use things like Luke did to defeat the rancor which I think will make it interesting too :) As for the star destroyer, I’m not fully certain but I hope it’s tied to the wanted system. They’ve that on a planet if you reach a level 6 wanted status they send a squad of 6 death troopers after you. But I’m hoping that if you reach level 6 and then go to space they send a star destroyer after you 😁 that would be sick!!! Sorry that this isnt a definite answer like you want but really enjoy the discussion
I personally know zero information about any bosses!! Think they're keeping that more secret before the release. I assume it'll be a mix of grenades, different blaster upgrades, using nix, using explosive barrels, maybe even commanding nd5? (not sure his full use in the game yet)
@@LouiseJulie_ I have a feeling we won’t actually use ND5 cause they’ve only really showed gameplay of you and Nix. If it does happen I assume it’ll just probably be for one mission or so which would be sick and a nice surprise, but I don’t think it’ll be something we can do regularly. Hope he appears in other media tho! Like comics or an animated show
@@LouiseJulie_ oh I guess I didn’t really think about that lol. That could mean some cool stuff with him. I think I just assumed the character would talk to us or be present on a mission and he would enlighten us to what happened to him. Sort of like the stories kraits tells on the boat in the new god of war games

You can, but there’s also the simplicity of having a console. When I was on pc for 7 years there was broken drivers at launch, had to troubleshoot older games(like when the audio didn’t work), and messing with settings to find the optimal graphics settings for my rig. For consoles it’s just plug and play with very minimal settings to change.

I'm a lazy gamer and therefore not usually a big fan of open-world games (e.g., couldn't get into Starfield), but this is Star Wars and I think I'll give it a go! Cheers.
Nice video and very informative. Really want to try out the game myself to get my own opinion on things. 19:59. It does seem to be difficult to know where you were being shot from. There is a vague red indication that shows the direction where the shots came from. I rather have a old fashioned semi circle indicator which we might be able to change in the options menu. 28:12. Would be nice to customise his clothes. Maybe dress him up like a cowboy or whatever, lol
I'm an "environment explorer" myself, so I was a little sad that the UbiSoft people told you to stop lingering and get back to the mission....but I understand their reasoning. They want you to upload your reactions full of action. What their marketers don't realize is that there are gamers like ourselves who like to find all the "Easter Eggs" that the Developers put in there. Action is great, but finding all the "secrets" is super fun!
They didn't mean it in a bad way. But we had limited time and they wanted us to experience the missions they set up for us!!! I still had plenty of time to explore thankfully
The youtube quality SAYS 60FPS but it's not quite looking as such. I'd really like to see some proof of the OPTION to prioritize performance because the footage I've been seeing looks like everyone is content to prioritize "fidelity/graphics" then youtube is compressing the hell out of it thus making it look like mashed potatoes. All the footage I've seen makes this game look distinctly previous gen. Gameplay wise this seems right up my alley. A Star Wars themed version of my comfort food kinda game. But for the price of new, AAA games I need it to be a looker AND be the kind of game that's relevant to my interests and all the footage I've seen it doesn't pass the looks test.
This game has gotten horrible reviews already, it's stealth based and they are going to need to start updating immediately as there are game breaking bugs already
@@anarchy4102 how can there be "game breaking bugs" when the game is not even out (that would require it to be out and people actually playing it). So sick of the dis-information that gets spread nowadays.
@MatthewHearne wdym how if it's not out yet ofc there would be bugs? Other people with honest reactions that didn't get invited by ubisoft have had completely different reviews than this one. Also the amount of damage control ubisoft is pretty embarrassing just like with AC shadows
Great video can't wait to play. Also no assassin's Creed isn't locked in stealth it's just more easy going stealth but you can go gun's blazing but depending on the difficulty you might die more going gun's blazing than being stealthy
I guess that’s kinda what I like about this game is you actually have a consequence for how you choose to play. Those other games like AC and Ghost of Tsushima are awesome but there’s really no reason to stealth unless you are absolutely forced to in a mission. Whereas here going in guns a blazon is faster but you get way more benefits from playing stealth :)

Great little preview, I'll be waiting due to past experiences with Ubisoft games and my own issues with the current pricing/season pass. But looks a lot better than the leaked stuff a while back. Have to laugh at the shill comments, everything youre excited for is the same as the stuff you were excited for in Ubisofts own reveals prior to any of this. Pretty much anyone who cant afford to do it would bite someones hand off for the free trip and experiences you were offered.
I think for me, from what I have seen so far, I kinda wish they would have let you make the character your own with character customization then it would have felt like YOU were playing in the game, but I guess I'm just spoiled from games like Warframe and others:)
Did you say the same about Fallen Order? Kay Vess is a very cool and badass female character, I love making my own in things like BG3 but I am VERY happy to have Kay as our main character.
@@LouiseJulie_ nope wasn't me and I'm sure Kay is very badass, I just enjoy customization, changing hair style, eye color etc, something in the line of Dragons Dogma 2. Being able to do that makes me feel more immersive because in a sense it's me:)

@@ironwolf56 if the gameplay footage she's showing has to be approved by Ubisoft without disclaimer that would be wrong. but i think what has happened is she and others were invited to somewhere, got a chance to play the game... really not unusual, that's been happening for years. ultimately, people need to stop being sheep. we've all got eyes in our head. we should be able to make a judgment on a game based on gameplay footage without a voice over telling us whether it's good or not.
@@IloveAliBromley To be fair, the ps5 version should be just about identical to the Xbox Series X version of the game. The devs didn’t even have to offer a console version, they could’ve just demoed everything on a high end pc with options between keyboard/mouse and controller.
Ok not paid sounds a little fake. Let me explain. Everyone and I mean everyone putting out outlaws videos, by the way why do you have a "#ubisoftcreator" in the description, continuing on, is saying the exact same words and like the same things. Immersion, the pet, syndicates, mini games and Space?? Exactly same words or phrases. The problem I have is there are men and women young and old so the chance everyone likes the exact same things and more so then twins would do is highly suspicious. One German creator deleted his video and apologized while talking that his footage was capture and edited by the hired PR company by Ubisoft he played remotely on their computer and his personal script was rejected and he had to use theirs. Guess what he was liking about outlaws. Wow right he liked the pet, the stealth, the immersion and livelihood of the environment and the Space part of the game. Hmmmmm do me a favour wait till release and the first real gameplay Videos come out. This is looking like they learned from Skull and Bones and control everything till release. Then watch the videos look at player numbers and sale charts wait another week or two then look again at those numbers and if they look good buy the game. So far the Skull and Bones chill is high with this game. And while some things look not bad many things do look bad. Also where in this video is any critic just watch the gameplay here and tell me there was nothing worth voicing some concerns?? Really none? The stuttering stealth play mechanics, enemy ki, facial animation and lip sync in cutscenes ? nothing ? I don't care if the model is LGBT or not she looks good but here she looks ugly. Just look at Giovanni Espinoza in Far Cry 6 by Ubisoft he is a man and looks the same in game as in real life. Why is she ugly here? Give me a reason I can believe. But no they don't talk about it wonder why.
she only says nice things of the game but obviously the game has bad desing like side quest progression and other issues about exploration and syndicate ranges

@@LouiseJulie_ If you watch the other "includes paid promotion" videos they also said one or two "negative" things about the game, which are all negible,but not one mentioned the major problems the game has. The horrible NPC KI, the facial animations and missing lip sync in cut scenes and during dialogs, how less immersive empty it's feels besides the bug cities and the missing NPC interactions there, the cluncky speeder feeling, the bad stealth. Only to show you the real negative aspects which are never mentioned in the promotion videos while you can see them in the gameplay they show??? Google it up and look how many major flaws are getting extracted from your and other gameplay where you find the game good??? Either blind, ignorant or paid those or the only explanations. I don't hope or think your blind or dumb which only leaves paid.
