Oh the classic ‘7’ rating from IGN. It’s their way of saying, “We want to rate it less, but we don’t want to piss off Disney and lose our media benefits.”
Ah Lord grant me the confidence of RU-vid commenters, the vast majority of which spout absolute fantasy of how the real world works. Grow up, children. Get a job. This isn't the way videogames reviews work. And it isn't the way corporate media works. And it isn't the way corporations work. You think a 7 is the big smash review Disney wanted? Go watch some of your favourite RU-vidrs and streamers, individuals actually granted gifts and exposure and media access but whom you clowns would trust and you would believe everything they say as 'independent media' 😂
He also said the sidequests were fun, graphics great for the mostpart, and fun overall. Just watch bombastic, hes basically showing the game instead of rare bugs and glitches.
@@Garrus1995These days people are always mad about everything. For those of you who were babies 15 years ago, back then mostly people just wanted to enjoy games, and only started a pitchfork mob for something truly awful. (See: Daikatana) YT has given content creators a reason to make angry indignation a business model. I’ll stick with Mortismal and Gameranx, they just review games without weird political agendas or sheeple hate mobbing.
@@Jack-4v Wukong is mindless boss killing game, Outlaws is a open world game with NPC, story, hidden areas, cities, villages.. Wukong is just boss fights, other than that is has nothing to offer...
@@nahfamyouaint it's an above average game that's being hailed as a masterpiece by Chinese and Chinese expats living outside of china when it's not even close. The guy said ign 8 means it's actually a 10 when it's not even close
My guess is that they were trying to remind you that this is a Han Solo type character and needs to look badass while wielding a blaster most of the time
Yeah, not sure why but people seem to not understand that 7/10 is actually a very solid rating as it's well above average (5) but this game doesn't seem to be that at all. 5 would probably be the best it realistically can get.
Same reason they brought back Palpatine, the Death Star TWICE, Tarkin and Vader in Rogue One, Leia in Rogue One and Kenobi, Luke in Mando, Boba in Mando, etc… to quote Rich Evans: Star Wars is creatively bankrupt. They need nostalgia to sell stuff, and that’s never been more true than at this point where we’re at the absolute rock bottom of Star Wars as a brand.
Omg the way this guy speaks is driving me mad, one sentence picks up and ends with a high inflection then the next lowers and ends with a low one, on every single 2 sentences! Argghh
The biggest turn off for me is when you shoot a blaster to an enemy in the head and it doesn't kill the enemy right away, even without a helmet. Like how do they expect us to be immersed when a laser gun is comically worse than IRL guns? Not even talk about she's beating all the soldiers and stormtroopers while not wearing any armor. It's really hard for me to be immersed and believe that I'm actually fighting against Stromtroopers when they can't even beat a woman in a leather jacket.
So basically “it has so many problems, most of which make gameplay extremely frustrating, and at some points terrible, but we love Star Wars and She Hulk, so it’s still a 7/10”
@darvamehleran786 more like an empty modding canvas. Every planet is designed empty so modders can make their own content. The big problem is skyrim and fallout are way more popular than starfield, so all the big modders are ignoring starfield and modding fallout 4, fallout nv and skyrim instead.
Because RU-vid comments do not accurately represent the majority of people. It represents a small percentage of people who like to complain endlessly. The vast 95% of people don’t care and just go to their website and watch the video and click off when finished.
Well for starters, people like you visit their RU-vid channel and watch their reviews (despite saying no one trusts them, here you are, along with over 750,000 others who “don’t trust” them. 🤣) and you even comment to generate some engagement. If you really didn’t trust them or care what they had to say you wouldn’t even be here. But you come here, just to make a fuss so people will be aware that you exist.
Tbh, it's not for most people. I'm tired of 50 long epics. Most people have jobs and a life. 20 hours is like at least a month for the average normal gamer

@@Shockkings071420 hours a month is *much* lower then the average gamer. I'd say it's even lower then people who work all day. An average gamer nowadays spends a couple hours every day on average, while you're saying that it's less then an hour daily
So let me get this straight... It's riddled with bugs.. the story is *OK* at best... the gunplay is lazy.. the stealth aspect is slapped in as an afterthought... the visuals drop in and out.. important dialogue may or may not work... objectives won't show when they should, forcing restarts galore... you even highlight 'running from a sandworm' showing graphics worse than a playstation 2 game... and it gets a 7/10? Did you even play the game? Or did a brand exec have your family at gunpoint?
I've come to expect that kinda thing from Tristan's reviews. I'm sure he's a great dude...but he has the cringiest reviews of just about anyone at IGN. Tries WAY too hard to be witty/clever, uses alliteration like it's going out of style, etc etc hahaha
@@digitalpayne8287 He's literally by far the most normal guy that reviews games for IGN. The rest are riddled with A, and wear bowties to family dinners.
IGN needs to understand that is not the Australian version of the channel. If Australians like to butcher spoken language cadence, let them do it, but don't make the rest of the world suffer through it.
always remembering that IGN gave 7.1 to Doom 2016, and gave 7 to Concord and Star Wars Outlaws; according to IGN, Doom 2016 is a 0.1 game better than both
We're editing that out. Our sincere apologies - that word seems to be UK-specific, and those of us who worked on this were ignorant of the meaning behind it. We've been informed and have learned from this mistake!
with all of the "marketing" this game got across multiple social media platforms just get a 7-2 while Wukong was kinda quiet ended up breaking records.... oh IGN you've lived long enough to see yourself become the villain
If you give this a 7 then black myth wukong should be a 10…. But no, you gave it an 8, there’s no way that black myth is only one better than this buggy mess
The frustration caused by the shitty stealth missions and bugs/glitches makes this not worth the price of admission, even at a deep sale for me. Having to waste time repeating sections of the game due to bugs or poor game design just seems like torture. I've been through it before with the old AC games and really hoped we were done with it by now.
Loving this game. Came to see how negative everyone is in the comments. Pretty par for the course. The art and world building, level design and many simple yet effective video game tropes keep it entertaining and addicting. And the level of detail in the world is mind blowing, if you want to just escape into a world that feels alive it delivers. Feels like a real Star Wars adventure, and the developers should be proud of this. Some people complain that things are too simple, like stealth, or shooting. But those are things that are made fun by the many puzzles and platforming segments that tie them together, and make you feel like you're exploring a real place. It really is amazing how good gaming has got, and how hard people are to impress these days.
