Coming along nicely.. I like that you include the areas you would go further if it was your machine or stepping it up that next level and make it a restoration instead of a thorough and complete shop job.
Nice creative solution for the speakers. I never knew I needed a grinder :). Just an option, you can also add the lighted RGB speaker mod which solves it also.
You could make a really good use of a fdm 3d printer. There are lots of things you could prototype or even do. Like those risers for example. You can also make reinforment or protection pieces, targets, hard to replace toys and lots of custom mods. There a pinball tables built with 3d printed parts so its posible to print almost any part
A quick black wash on that Deathstar would've made it pop. Wouldn't take but maybe 10-15 minutes tops. I couldn't let it go out the door naked like that.
