Tf did they do to Anakins podracer? xD I watched the video and I must say, I'm glad I never played this game and only the old "Star Wars Episode 1: Racer"... :D
@@averybarrington-magee2828 why? He's spitting facts, the OG game was superior to this minus the engine sfx that's missing There's a reason the OG got remastered but this game didn't
@@braxeld4551 it's like people didn't play the original one on the N64/PC I also don't like that once your Podracer gets totaled, that's it for you At least in the original you respawn
I love Star Wars Racer. If I had a fully functional PlayStation 2, I'd buy this game without a second thought. I see many good changes: better graphics, new drivers from George Lucas's scraps and creative ideas regarding some characters, some drivers not returning due to Star Wars chronology (Boles Roor retiring, Neva Kee going MIA, Ratts Tyrell getting killed, unknown reasons for Elan Mak), redesigns for Anakin and Sebulba, new tracks and worlds, crashing for good, being able to actually destroy other racers without them returning, and secrets galore to add to the replay value. The downsides I see are lower racer quantities, a fairly annoying announcer, and slower races, but this game still feels like a step forward. I'd really like to get my hands on this game if I get a PS2 again.
@@kaspartambur No, same team. But yeah, the original wasn't on PS1 because it wasn't able to handle it...Then they made the sequel a PS2 exclusive and had to cut everything down massively.
@@joshuasassypantsmixon4582 yea. They should remake lots of them. Like twisted metal, road rash, killer instinct, destruction derby etc... awesome titles
Gaming as a whole and the people who made those gems with untouched original ideas back in the days were indeed very unique. Now everything is just a rehash made in rush for quick money. I remember being amazed by the technology advance and how great games were between 1993-2007
@@danini2694 fym it wasn't necessary?? Just seeing his engine health at critical for a good while got me going nuts, one slight little tap would clap him completely
