I'm.a huge star wars fan, was born 1974 so got to experience all the hype, the merchandise, waiting 3 years between films. Flew to America in 1999 for the opening of Phantom menace. This year I turned 50 and went to Florida in March/ April and got to ride this 3 times during my stay. Not gonna lie, I was welling up big time when I walked into that room of stormtroopers. This is a star wars fans absolutely dream come true and I feel so privileged to have had the experience
I'd potentially get them to break character by asking them if they're having fun. It's very likely they are. At the very least, it'll get a little giggle out of them
It's so immersive, and then you suddenly see all these random families of modern people just shuffling through the corridors of the Star Destroyer lol. The space part was really cool tho.
@@takeru51 back in my day we walked like our balls were holding our thighs apart, because they were. Mainly due to testicular infections but that's besides the point.
I desperately wanted to ride this on my visit to Disneyland last month, but it was down the entire day. My wife and I even went through the show house only to be told it was down again. They didn't get it working until like 8:30pm, when we were already on our way home. Very disappointed.
This ride is actually very precise with timing. For instance, as you're coming into the AT-AT hanger, if you look through the gap in the big door at the back, you might see some flashing red lights on the upper story. This is because that gap is actually a huge mirror, and you're seeing the reflection of the AT-AT shooting at one of the cars in front of you. Which raises a question about the interrogation room. It's not obvious in this video, but they put the wall back long before the ride goes into motion. This means the next group can be let into the interrogation room during the seatbelt check. And I took some measurements. If we assume Hux showing up on the balcony and Finn appearing on the screen happen simultaneously, then the interrogation lasts exactly long enough for the vehicles to exit, and the two empty ones to take their place. So... what was the delay with breaking you out?
@@user-on6uf6om7s It’s all part of the fun. You’re captured by the First Order on the ride, the cast members are assigned to act like big-shots to the riders. It’s the guests who are on the ride that are going to have to communicate with the cast members the right way. That’s their problem, not the cast members.
With all the people who apply for Disney jobs, why can they not get employees who MAYBE look like members of a military organization??? They all look like fast food workers.
The ride was always breaking down because the Guns would trip the sensors when they came too close to the vehicles. It would go into safe mode and shut the entire ride down. They figured just to turn them off, and now the ride doesn't break down nearly as much, but the guns moving were cool. I hope they find a permanent fix
The ship's engines are ready for take-off Think of this next time you get on a car, or you turn on yours. It takes 2-3 minutes for your car to warm up for you to drive smoothly. Same with the ships. Gotta let the engines warm up
@@5Demona5 Yeah, even I knew what that means. And I’m not even an engineer. You gotta let the fuel tank run the engines for your vehicle to be able to drive or fly, depending on your preference.
Gees, great ride I'm sure, but damn, the people look so uninterested, I'd be so into it if I were there but by the looks of most the people they're just like, "Yeah lets get this done and over with" Sad to see such lack of excitement towards something like this. I'll admit, I'm not a sequel fan but they nailed the visuals and atmosphere really well.
