Man, I will never forget when I heard this track for the first time. Being a single ship against what felt like a hundred fighters I'd never seen before while trapped in a confined space? The tension and feeling of imminent danger filled my tiny 6 year old body with adrenaline and dread. Needless to say this track felt pretty fitting and elevated the whole experience. Probably one of the most intense moments of my childhood
Most memorable mission for me is Relics of Geonosis. Being stranded on the planet always gave me a feeling of dread. Oh, and when you got that Jedi Starfighter? Mmmmm. It was way too much fun, just wrecking shit with those sonic bomb things. Not to mention it was a really solid craft, too.
Absolutely! Personally I thought the soundtrack that was used on the ground was really...ominous! Very moody! And the Genesosis level was a great way of promoting ‘Attack of the Clones’ as well’
There is a soundtrack missing from this playlist. It's the one that plays as you are flying the A-wing through the energy forcefield tunnel, right before your first encounter with the TIE-Hunters. It has a creepy, claustrophobic feel to it that hits hard during that sequence.
@@VALI4NTY0UTH I found it. The track is called "Gloomy." For some reason it's lumped in with Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader's soundtrack. Probably because it was meant to be in the 2nd game, but they had nowhere to put it in any of the missions, so they saved it for the 3rd game.
Favorite mission was the assault on the Imperial energy facility... forgot what the name of the system was.... BUT that's the mission that comes to mind when I hear this.
my favorite level is a tie between guns of debrillion and fondor shipyard assault, the at-at in guns of debrillion your practically invincible and destroying the star dreadnought and the hole tie hunter and transport thing at the beginning of the other level fondor shipyard assault
Excuse me, but with the whole Episode II as a multiplayer, and some of the most memorable missions I ever had, Rogue Squadron III is clearly not that bad. Obviously it had bad features, too much of them, but that cannot erase how excellent it was on some aspects.
I've often wondered about the upper limits of parrying. Like, a rapier isn't ever going to parry a bus, but anybody in a car might could parry for someone else, in the sense of directing a bus ram attack off-target.
