This is how you incorporate digital screens.... have them fly by so fast, you don't have time to notice the seams. From what I saw, this upgrade looks like a total success.
It's literally the best Star Wars ride in the world. They spent so much more money on Rise Of The Resistance, but ruined it with being themed to the most hated trilogy in the series. This on the other hand was amazing.
This has been around for years at Disneyland California, they just only convert it for right around May the 4th, then it goes back to normal for most of the year. It looks good because they’ve done it many times at other parks. :)
Main reason is it actually LOOKS like a Star Wars ride on the outside. The Paris one should go back to Jules Verne and fix everything so it runs as it was originally. That launch still looks awesome.
This was the first time I rode a Space Mountain at any of the Disney Parks, it's thrilling and fun, would keep riding over and over till I vomi... well...
I’ve been on this and you really can’t see the track in person, or just fleeting silhouettes of it anyway. This was filmed on a low light camera that can take in more light than the human eye.
They have, but they only bring it out seasonally for May the 4th, which is unfortunate because I think it’s so much more fun. I wish they’d make it permanent.
So funny that we are seeing Footage here from Classic Star Wars and not the Sequels. You would thought that in modern day they would use footage of the Sequels, but i´m glad they didn´t.
Technically it's set just before the sequel films because you're defending Jakku. Nonetheless since they planned it mostly before the Sequel Trilogy, thankfully it's more based on the OT visually.
It’s not bad but the first time you do it, when your climbing the hill is the most horrifying you don’t know what’s happening and it’s pitch black, rode it twice and I also rode grizzly gulch 3 times. Absolutely amazing
It is unfortunate to inform you that the Jedi Training Academy and Stormtroopers Patrol have been removed by HK Disneyland. Currently, the Space Mountain stands as the last Star Wars themed attraction at HK Disneyland. Moreover, there is no meet and greet with R2-D2 anymore. Despite inquiring with the consultant multiple times, I have only received unpleasant responses. As a Taiwanese, I feel frustrated and confused about the fact that the Star Wars theme has only been present for two and a half years in HK.
That's what makes this version of the Hyperspace Mountain overlay the absolute best. Honestly this is the best Star Wars themed ride in the world. Especially since they wrecked Star Tours with the sequel crap.
Funny thing is it fits the Hong Kong Disneyland version so well that it's an amazing ride anyway. They really should remove it from Paris though, that should go back to the original Jules Verne theme complete with the hydraulic launch. This Hong Kong version should STAY Star Wars themed because it's one of the best rides at the park.
Can confirm what @@Gwadabean says. It's not as easy to see the tracks on the ride, and your vision is not going to be as wide as what the camera here is capturing.
