And that's very Sith like, at least Rule of 2 Sith like, since before they would just go to war with the Jedi openly. Since the rule of 2, manipulation is very important.

I loved his interaction with Sol. 'You killed a child!' 'You were the one who brought a child soldier.'

He was enjoying seeing Sol embrace the dark side

He isn't afraid of making a fool of himself either for the greater good of his agenda. He is smart and playing the long game.

Even at the end Qimir massively held back and just let Sol beat on him just to let Sol show he has that darkness

Then Qimir showed Mae how to kill a Jedi without a weapon by snapping Yord's neck.

It is a Sith right of passage to kill a jedi without a weapon then take their saber to corrupt/bleed into their first Sith red bladed saber.

SEEMS I'M THE ONLY ONE THINK WITH THIS OPINION!?? They are constantly implying that Mae is a bad Acolyte and Sol mind wiped Osha after the witch massacre. Qimir is clearly going to undo the mind wipe and tell Osha what's up. Osha will be the Acolyte not Mae.

@@john79taxidriver20 yeah, what so many are calling "bad writing" with child Mae's sudden personality flips and weird scene cuts is pretty obviously just the director giving foreshadowing hints that Osha's memory has been manipulated. In an interview the director talked about there being a "Rashomon" influence in the story where one characters perspective of events is far from the overall reality. Pretty sure Mae did not start the fire or kill any of the witches as Osha has been brainwashed to believe.

Assassins aren't particularly skilled in open combat, this dude took out 7 Jedi with relative ease.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's trying to find an allocate because he himself is too weak to take down his master. So he figures that by getting his own oppressants which also violates the rule of two that they can both take him down. Would not be surprised if it ends with a reveal that his basically took him on because he always knew he was weak but useful stepping stone to find his real apprentice which is going to be one of the two sisters and then offs him. It's also very fascinating that which to me gives me a hint of that. He's an apprentice because he insists on wearing the mask in order to prevent getting mind read. However, palet himself and use the dark side in of itself to be his mask and I think that's a true difference between an apprentice and a master. .

He’s more of a dark Jedi not a sith, we don’t know his background yet, if he was a Jedi before it means he is just a dark Jedi but he might have a master but who only one I can think of is darth tenebrous plagueis master

True, although these Jedi are far less powerful than the Masters who Sidious fought. It does underscore how nightmarishly powerful the Sith are, regardless.

and I don't even believe he's a true master, I think he's just scheming against the real master, note the lack of Sith eyes and not revealing himself as a Darth but identifying as Sith? He's an apprentice to a true Sith Lord somewhere.

There's no other reason for "the master" to be on this planet and kill Kelnacca unless he knew Mae was going to betray him and flee which he would only know if he was Qimir lol.

Very true, great action in this episode and several character deaths I did not expect.

That changed when she realised that her Master was there, and Jecki could not protect her. Mae realised that he would hunt them down, so she ran, until confronted by Osha. The switcheroo gave Mae the opportunity to flee with Sol, who might be powerful enough to protect her, and who would take her to the Jedi Temple. Everything Mae did came from self-preservation.

Because her master is there and she knows the Jedi aren’t gonna be able to defeat him. So her choices are either to run away or try and atone to her master

But why would she disguise herself as Osha.

Just surrender to Sol and ask for his protection.

Given the timeframe and his Force powers, we can even make a reasonably firm guess on who his master is.

top 5 light saber duel... welll there were a lot of duels in this one.... but love how they fought with philosophy and sith mind fuckery. Ashoka did it better but this was epic nonetheless

The first good episode of the series, hopefully going forward it's a good as this episode.

unfortunately they still hate it. while i have been enjoying it so far, i have had some criticism as well. its been okay. but this episode was incredible. loved every minute. sad we only have 3 episodes left

Of course Jedi kill. Obi-wan very much kills Maul (twice). Mace Windu killed Jango (after disarming him, I might add). Let’s not forget the innumerable deaths in the Clone Wars by Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-wan, etc. Jedi very much kill in defense and protection of others. They will give you a chance to surrender (again, Mace held a lightsaber to Jango’s neck before the fight instead of outright killing him, but once the battle started the kid gloves were off)

Honestly, even though we saw a little bit of hints of this with ahsoka, I can't believe it literally took until now to see like lightsaber fights. That way more accurately look like actual bladed fights among bladed and armored opponents that you would in something like hima. The original trilogy was probably the closest with its basic arrow Flynn. The prequels made a lot of flipping on since and the sequel's treated everything like baseball bats, so that triple stab is literally exactly what you would do with a dagger and I'm absolutely here for it. Same thing with like using your arm guards to deflect a blade head butting the blade exactly now that they have reintroduced courses into Canon this and some of the other clever stuff, we're now starting to get back in the Dynamics of actual sword fighting. That makes it really freaking cool. That is taken away due to the 360 nearly lethal cutting edge of a lightsaber. More of this. I especially want all of this for anything that takes place in the old Republican Canon!

I still like "Darth Smilo Ren" as his Sith name.
