The numbers you're looking at are for the DREADFUL third episode (and likely also people just starting the show). The 820 million minutes watched thing is in regards to the 2 episode premiere, adding both of them together. Comparatively, the Acolyte did so-so, being beaten out by shows which dumped the entire season on Netflix for people to binge, with Eric and Sweet Tooth however being around for a couple more weeks. I would bet those shows, and especially Bridgerton, had way higher numbers the week their respective seasons premiered.

The movie The Room was so bad, it was good! This is not the case with Wokelyte. The Wokelyte is so bad we all want to destroy it with fire and never talk about it again. I have spoken.

Wow. Those numbers mean nothing. Why can't they just show you how many unique users watched each episode up to a certain percentage of the total run time to say that it was once viewed? They could further track minutes watched to see if a unique user has watched it more than once. Data can be scrubbed of personal info, but still count unique views, so privacy issues don't apply. That's all they need to do. What they did is statistical wizardry. It's not usable stats, but promotional material.

Disney is a joke. I remember 20 years ago in 2000 when Disney got the rights to the Chronicles of Narnia . They co-opted the production and rights with Walden Media. The first one was good and did great at the box office but when they did the 2nd movie "Prince Caspian" and the profits came short they (Disney) jumped ship. They got out of any future commitments to do another one. I thought the 2nd movie was good to, I liked it. I went ahead and saw the third one "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and I liked that one to but I kind of thought that it was a step back in quality. I read the books and when I heard that Disney was involved with C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia books I was excited and thinking that they were going to do all 7 books as movies just like Peter Jackson did the LOTR and how WB got involved with the Harry Potter Books, but then when I found out they didn't want to get involved to do anymore Narnia books into movies because they weren't going to make any money I was upset and disappointed. Now they're just burning their money and destroying all of their properties. I've never seen a company produce so many crap movie and tv shows, it's pathetic. If someone was going to tell me in 2000 when they put out the first Narnia movie that Disney is going to be utter Sh*t in 2024. I would've been like "yeah right. There so money hungry and only interested in pleasing the public to get them to watch their movies to make money." Now, They're making crap, losing money and telling the public that it's a hit!!! Absolute joke ???? If you're not going to respect the source material then don't even bother making the production. You can save everyone the time to not even look at it.

These are the only numbers released? How does this compare to the new Dr. Who? I've heard that show is bombing but not sure if those are just UK numbers. IF what I'm seeing about Dr. Who is correct, than it's JUST UK figures. One episode got 2.2MM views over several days in UK alone and that was bad. That compares horribly to similar numbers of 11.1MM (globally?) for Acolyte's first two episode premiere.

In general it can be said; The frickin SAME fans gave Ahsoka even 60+%, Mando 80+%, and so on. Even House of the Dragon, with another strong female lead, with lots and lots of diversity and LGBT cast got 80+%, more or less from the same demographic of fans! If we apply some critical thinking and ask ourselves: how did the 14% come to be? The answer is easier than you might think: Racism and toxicity is not even needed to review bomb this dumpster fire because simply, The Acolyte is a bad show, badly written, badly executed, and certainly badly directed. And even if we forget about all the lore breaking aspects, the aforementioned is already enough to justify that the fans are upset about this... and I don't even go into the financial part here, because what?, 180 millions for a walk in the forest? OMG, you just can't invent this.

This must be the final nail in Filoni's coffin. He has been trashing Star Wars since Clone Wars. If you look at that show, despite Lucas' apparent oversight, it isn't that good. Particularly with what happened to Adi Gallia, Even Piell, Barriss Offee and even Onaconda Farr.

If we all stop bringing attention to Disney flops and let it spiral in to oblivion, maybe we can get the studios to actually produce quality film/series and something for the masses over the minority

Did you add both weeks? That comes to 600 million vs 820 million. It's not sure how the estimations differ. The point is that rotten tomatoes *was* reviewed bombed, and there are millions of people watching Acolyte and like it. Star Wars is not Shakespere, it's made for young adults I think.

I can buy people waiting til the weekend to watch it, as I knew guys in college who would grind hard all the week, then rent some of the crappiest movies they'd ever seen for the weekend to get high and then watch these awful movies and because they were high they'd "realize" the brilliance of the productions that they had missed before. One of the guys referred to it as "Watching the movies while under the same influences as the Hollywood producers who greenlit the projects so they could see what the producers saw." He also said that the end result, at least for him, was he was focused on all the tits he could see on screen and picturing them naked. Since the ForceThread is now completely female, I suppose it would make it better for that kind of highlife mindset. The show is still absolute garbage, but we can thank it for making the old Life Day special look so much better by comparison.
