Star Wars: The Force Awakens sees Lucasfilm and visionary director J.J. Abrams join forces to take audiences back to a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars returns to the big screen from December 17th 2015. The film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by J.J. Abrams & Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt.

John Boyega got a little annoyed about the black stormtrooper question and I don't blame him. I'm tired of it and I can only imagine that he is even more so. I didn't care that there was a black stormtrooper or even a black lead. It's disappointing that such a deal was made of it in the first place. He's a human being like the rest of us and the focus should be on his acting and not his skin tone.

I guess some people are all hung up on the origins of the stormtroopers being rooted in the clone troopers of the Republic, but that was decades ago in the timeline, and the clones aged fast. Those that didn't die in battle didn't live all that long anyways. So, 20 years or so from the end of the Clone Wars to the start of episode IV, then some more decades on top of that...and we don't really know yet how much the origins of this New Order came out of the Sith led Empire. Never mind the stormtroopers themselves. Okay, long winded way of agreeing with the OP. It's a stupid thing to get hung up on. I too loved Attack The Block, Boyega's great, can hardly wait to see this new Star Wars movie!

I find it really funny that some people are surprised of a stormtrooper being black. In the original trilogy, we NEVER even see a single stormtrooper take off his helmet... EVER! All we know about them is that they have two legs, two arms and the ability to speak. They could literally be any humanoid species in the galaxy but people just assumed they were all white humans for some reason.

Harrison, whats the difference between playing Han now and then? Harrison, how does it feel to come back and pass the torch? Harrison, why did you come back? Harrison, whats the difference between the after parties? Harrison, what did your kids think of you returning to Star Wars? I know that's not the order or exact quotes, but some of them I can almost see the reporters going, "shit, how can I rephrase this question...fuck it, I'll ask about the after parties." I know they can't ask any questions where the answeres would spoil or reveal anything, but there are so many questions you could have asked, besides how's it feel to be the new kid, or how's it feel to come back.

took my daughter to star wars tonight and she loved chewie, warmed my heart. she cried when he cried. then said how awesome it would be to fly between planets. 9 yr old. so glad i got to take her, prolly how old i was when i went with my dad to the prequils. btw... to a 9 yr old, jar jar was the moment.

I'll never forget my 7th birthday in 1977. It was just 2 days after 'Star Wars' released. I got to see this amazing universe come to life onscreen, and now I get to all over again. That is just cool. I can't wait to share this ride with my wife and kids. This generation is sure in for one hell of a ride. Awesome!

I think it makes perfect sense for Harrison's age, that he died in Episode VIII. You never know how long someone at that age is gonna last and it left him open for Indiana Jones again, and other movies.
