Yes, she is the mother of all three children. Her name is Senya Tirall. You ask, "Where was she while the twins were {being manipulated}?" She was there all along. So, to her, Valkorion is not some evil entity to be fought at all costs. He (Vitiate) came to Zakuul to build a perfect empire, after he decided the Sith Empire was a failure. So Vitiate took control of a warlord named Valkorian and conquered all of Zakuul and brought it out of the stone age into a technological utopia, where he, Vitiate/Valkorion, ruled as "The Eternal Emperor" for over 100 years. By the time Senya came along, the people of Zakuul worshipped Valkorion as a god. When Valkorion started courting Senya, not as The Eternal Emperor seeking a concubine but as a man courting a woman, she fell head over heels in love. Also, keep in mind that Valkorion taught the people of Zakuul the ways of the Force. Not just the Darkside, but the Lightside as well, and everything in-between. To Zakuulans, there is no Light and Dark, there is only The Force. So, to Senya, training her kids in the Darkside was only natural and right. Further, Valkorion was The Immortal Emperor and wiser than anyone. Who was she to question his methods? It was only after the death of Thexxan (the twin in black clothes) that she started to see Valkorian as he really is. As for Valyn (their daughter), Valkorion knew she was strong in the Force all along. When still in Senya's womb, Valyn would move furniture with the Force. Valkorion could also sense that she was unstable and would be unable to control her growing powers. So Senya and Valkorion agreed to suppress her powers until she was old enough to train properly. When Valyn crushed those guards in the arena, Valkorion decided they couldn't wait and that extreme measures must be taken. Senya fully agreed. Senya was concerned for Valyn, of course, but she didn't know the lengths Valkorion would go to control Valyn. When she had the dream/vision, she saw just what Valkorion was doing to Valyn and what she was becoming and tried to rescue her, though as seen she was far too late. Now, lets go back to the beginning and reveal something that was going on this whole time, unknown to anyone. 300 years ago, Vitiate captured Revan and forged a mind-link with him to learn all his secrets as well as draw power from him. Unbeknownst to the Emperor, this mind-link was a two-way street. For 300 years, Revan was doing everything he could to influence the emperor and try to return some humanity to him. By the time Vitiate left his Sith Empire to build a new empire in Zakuul, Revan's influence had so changed The Emperor that Vitiate, as Valkorion, was not seeking power alone, but new experiences. Valkorion wanted to fall in love. To become a father. To be a strong and just leader and protector of his people. THAT is who Senya fell in love with, and helped raise his children (and they were *HIS* children first and foremost before they were hers). Now, at some point during the kids' upbringing, Revan was freed from his prison and the mind-link broken (and then shortly afterward Revan was killed), and Revan's benevolent influence on the Emperor stopped. The Emperor again turned dark. By the time Thexxan was killed, Valkorion was a distant and cold, even cruel, man, almost unrecognizable as the man Senya had fallen in love with.
