You really ran with so many variations of Star Wars music so far. The way you are doing that didn’t seem to get explored by JW. Enjoying what you have put together. I remember reading up on John Williams about writing Rey’s music. It was written or told be him that he was excited about writing for that character. I wanted more but he never really expanded it in the Last Jedi. I like the treatment you have for Luke’s theme and the force theme. I would love to hear the interpretation of Rey’s theme from you. Intertwined that and Princess Leia’s theme.

Reminds me of the prequels more than anything for some odd reason. Obi-Wan vs Anakin, Grievous vs various jedi. Rex and the 501st with Ashoka.

Not to nitpick but as a composer myself some of the timing/quantinization at the beginning felt off, even if it was for a fraction or two of a second. Sorry, it's good but since I have an ear for tempo this kind of took me out of it for a second. Anyways, let the virtual tomato throwing begin.

@@DAGMAOfficial At around 0:24 the glockenspiel and bass drum seem to fall out of sync. I assume you're going for triplets in the Force theme, right? I get the "drags" in the piano at the beginning but when the glock and bass drum start to crescendo they seem to drag (if they're meant to be in unison with everything) just that little bit. Hopefully this isn't too much of a critique. :)

i count 9 cymbal crashes in first 50 seconds. it's way to repetitious. you could at the very least automate their velocities so it isn't so jarring. either-way, i couldn't finish listening past 50sec. the cymbals where too much.

Whilst all opinions are respected, why not skip past that point? I would argue the cymbals are there to showcase a change in tempo/crescendo and also guide a listener to think about a next memory when they connect to the music.

@@user-yf2hw3bp4p They're repetitious and there's no articulation on velocity at all, so they stand out poorly in the mix. On my Adam A7X monitors it's incredibly jarring, and if I'm being entirely honest, a rather lazy way of writing to rely solely on one instrument to emphasize a resolution/progression. I am not some arm chair criticizer, I am simply stating something which if corrected would vastly improve the overall composition.
