I saw an unboxing video as well where the removed the sides of the containers. I think that is more just part of the assembly of the canister and not really a feature. I could be wrong though. May the force be with you too

The little kyber crystal pieces were really the cherry on top for this set. I couldn't even speculate why they used a vehicle with wheels on it in the movie. To be honest I didn't give it any thought.

Is that The Vintage Collector X-Wing? I think that was in the $90 range if I remember correctly. In this case of TVC you're not only paying for the toy but also a bit more for the packaging. Maybe I'm just a bit starved for a nice looking vehicle after the last few years but I'm feeling pretty good on this one with the price. Heck, 2 figures fit in the driver area of this vehicle just like they should and the top closes. I think The Last Jedi X-Wing was $60 at TRU and it's hard enough to get that figure to fit and still close the canopy.

I have a massive GI Joe collection as well as Star Wars and GI Joe Hasbro never over charged people and they have very detailed tanks, and the Hovercraft was larger and only like $30 to $40, so Disney Hasbro is over charging and using gimmicks to take advantage of the customer hence there sales prices keep dwindling as no one wants to pay $90 for one small vehicle, it should be $40 to $50 tops, $90 American is over $120 here so way over priced plus shipping that's going to be $150 for just that

Yikes, I didn’t realize you were on the other side of the water from me. Yeah, you end up paying much more. I don’t collect much outside of Star Wars and even then it’s really just the occasional Transformers item so I will admit I’m pretty oblivious to what items of similar scale and design cost among other lines.

plus the action figures from the looks of it barely fit into it and the Hovercraft you can load them up, even the falcon vintage fit more figures and it was not way over priced

Well, I don't have any official reasons but to guess I think they wanted to make a statement with a new vehicle going into the Vintage line and it probably seemed like a good one to start with. Doing this in the other lines where they go smaller and not as many features this might have ended up to be more of a disappointment.

The vintage line is 3.75" right? So you think they would have screwed it up and gave us less detail if they put it in the Rogue One line? I thought all the toys for the regular lines were suppose to be made for the 3.75" line? I just wish they would stop cheapening the regular lines and only putting the good stuff in the vintage line!

It is 3.75" but even with the other vehicles in the regular line they made them smaller. Not all. I'd say the Tie Strikers were a decent size but the U-Wing for example was way under sized for how the vehicle was in the movie. If that was released back in 2005 I truly believe it would have been the size of the Gunship with room to hold some figures in the body of the ship and certainly two seats in the cockpit and not just the one seat we received. Take the Solo Falcon for example where it only holds one figure and you can't even fit Chewbacca in there. As for the tank, I don't have any official knowledge to base it from but my belief is yes, they wouldn't have given it the detail that it was given. Especially given the treatment the vehicles have received in the main line. I doubt it would have had the functioning treads but instead little wheels on the bottom of treads that were just sculpted onto the body. While maybe they would have kept the removable canisters I don't believe they would have gone the extra step to allow you to open up the canister for the crystal part. I agree with you though. I wish the main 3 3/4" line got the love it deserves. Maybe the time will come again.

2nd wave of TVC figures will have one. I don't know the street date for the figures but I think any time now.

I will pick three up and paint one like a commander and put it in the top and the normal ones piloting it .

The Hover Tank Driver is scheduled for release in August.

In my weak defense I grabbed that figure as well. I just kept picking up the same figure that you saw 😀. I’m glad you liked the review.

Dude, I've seen a couple other people talking about that on a facebook group but I had no idea what they were talking about. I didn't even notice that. Now I can't wait to get home and look for myself :)

I agree that not too many parents will spend the money on this for their kids. However, I don't know that children are the target audience for The Vintage Collection line. I could be wrong, but I thought this was focused more for the collectors.

It's a SW toy. Kids are always the primary target. The collectors are just the bonus on these. The way they did the barge they can say that's aimed at collectors, but dude, even that is proof that Hasbro has gotten greedy and is over charging. Still like your reviews though. Nothing wrong with your videos at all.

Hasbro sells at scalper prices. It's not worth $80 now, but 10 yrs from now, probably.

You can briefly, and barely, see the coffee mug at 5:43 in the video. Unfortunately I didn’t know where it was when I recorded the video so I never called it out. Luckily someone commented on the video to point it out. It is sculpted in so not removable. Thanks for the sub!

TheCustomSWFigure it’s a shame , don’t get me wrong, I don’t like paying the prices that seem to be a reality nowadays. At least in Australia the prices keep going up , a mate of mine did the math on Shipping in the new TVC TIE that’s just been announced - 200AUD + for us to have it - ridiculous but it is what it is - I won’t be buying it. I think with TVC like you say is we pay for the paint job and detailing plus the box , none of it cheap to manufacture

The people complaining are just reasonable. That's all. I've seen larger tank toys and other military vehicles with more accessories for $20-40 with the same amount of detail and paint. SW's brand name isn't worth that much. You guys paying for these overpriced kid's toys are ruining the hobby for not only other collectors, but the kids. It's going to be funny when Hasbro is out of business because a handful of saps bought these and the sail barge while they were overpriced.

I don't have the talent to make my own.
