Hi Star Wars collectors, welcome to my review of The Vintage Collection Clone Trooper 4 Pack. I am much happier with this set than I thought I would be and don't seem to have any quality control issues.

$45.00 divided by four figures is only $11.25 per figure. I'd say that is pretty darn reasonable these days.

@@Robert_Westwood All over. Dorkside is having a sale right now, but many are already sold out. If you want to save money you have to be patient, and wait for the deals. I find it's even easier with TVC than Black Series though. I highly recommend using a Discord for deal notifications, there's several for Star Wars, r/Actionfigures is also great. You just have to get your head out of the preorder mentality. The only things I preorder are things I suspect might be hard to find, like Walmart exclusives.

I think these would have been better if they had both style helmets so you could do phase 1 and phase 2 clone troopers

This mould with phase 2 helmets are not good imo. Hopefully the use the arc trooper mould for phase 2.

The sergeant (green markings) would be better because the sergeant commands a squad of 9 troops and a Lieutenant commands a platoon of 36 because 4 is closer to 9 then 36

Great review, these look great. I've never thought this mold suited phase 2 troopers, but for whatever reason I think it's a fantastic mold for phase 1 troopers

Hey Tim, good review and a nice set. About the sculpt, I agree 100% that this sculpt looks better with the Phase 1 helmet. I am tempted to buy it, but will wait for the new sculpt.

The LT angry face looks like the same face used with the elite trooper that comes with the bad batch 4 pack (it’s glued to his helmet)

Yes I believe it’s the same head sculpt. I’ve even seen an old picture of the elite trooper with the painted head sculpt and removable helmet, I guess they changed it to non removable.

Awesome video Bossk! Wish the new not released sculpt should be used but this is not bad for the phase 1. loving the different head sculpts just wish we got other colored ranks. But in all nice set!

the angry clone head was first seen in the Special Forces Clone trooper if you remove his helmet (which is a bit hard to remove)

Man i can't wait 'til they get to do more clone units, but more importantly, named clones. Imagine all the ROTS commanders with the updated sculpts, and all of them with that amazing Temuera Morisson likeness, imagine Gree with his clone wars haircut, Bly with the yellow face tattoos, Neyo, Cody, even Appo and Thire, and i'd love for Bacara to have that angry clone head, i feel like it'd fit him so well. Along with more clone wars clones. We NEED a realistic 3.75" Fox and a better Rex. Hell, give us, Waxer Boil, Sinker, Boost, Tup, Hardcase, Kix, non ARC Fives, Echo and Jesse ETC ETC.

For me if you use phase 1 helmets, this mold is perfect. But as soon as you put them the phase 2 helmet…man they look like funko pop

Phase 1 being skinny is kinda alright since in canon the armor wasnt comfortable but offer more protection while phase 2 was comfortable while not offering alot of protection

Just a quick question, do your clones feel a bit rubberier or more flimsy than normal? when I compared them to previous releases of the same mold it feels like they're made of a softer plastic

Yes, this is a problem with a lot of new releases. Very soft, rubbery and gummy plastics being used, especially weapons and hands. It’s creating posing challenges. Why does Hasbro always have something going on that makes their product worse?

I have to believe they will eventually re-release a 4 pack of standard storm troopers, especially with the new definitive ANH storm trooper coming soon

The dumbest thing has bro is doing with these multi packs is including ranked officers. Why couldn't they sell us a four pack of basic GI rankless troopers and then sell us the ranked one as a pulse exclusive separately. I have multiples of these sets on pre-order and I'm going to be stuck with several of the captains unless I can figure out how to spend the time and money to turn them into customs 😑

so hate this new package style. No joy when opening my newer figs today. Feel like I’m getting trash when opening the box up. Like their body bags or trash bags and the box is it’s coffin or trash can. They say they want to help the environment by to using plastic in their package on a fully plastic action figure. Yet they won’t give us soft goods on so many figures that have capes that need soft goods or when it would look better and help articulate the figure. Yet they still use that plastic on all these capes or gear, skirts, or what ever around waist that stops any movement at all on legs. Really hope they find a better way of packing these figures so I don’t feel disappointed when opening the box up first time

The unpainted feet suck a lot. These copyrights grant monopoles to corporations with no ethos. A chinese knock off would be easy to identify by the completed paint scheme…
