It seems that every Stormtrooper has something wrong with it. I see this as a win when it comes to army building. Having many Imperials that are lacking in decorum in different ways make things a little closer to real life. Great for photography! Great video!! I agree, those old style hips have got to go! That’s the last step to make these figures truly definitive! I hope Hasbro make that change soon!
I did order four Stormtroopers and opened three with the intention of keeping one carded (in great condition including the cardback). I've some inconsistency with the paint app in some areas on each unit. Aside from the old hips, I feel like the gumminess of the plastic for the Trooper prevents it from being a "classic". Using the joints felt off which I can't say for most all-new sculpts since Dark Times or even Bo-Katan so my guess is that VC231 uses some parts from older releases and they've not changed the plastic for it. And yes, the wrong blaster is a flaw. I don't mind too much since they are "fodders" for a shelf. I don't like using the word overrated so overestimated would be more appropriate.
Yeah the plastic does seem a little worse/gummy on this round huh? I definitely still plan on ordering more of these despite the less bright white armor ✨🤘😁🤘✨
Nice review. The length of the review is just right especially considering how many times we’ve see variations of this trooper. I agree that it would really be nice to get the proper ANH blaster and barbell hips would be a great upgrade as well. How many of these did you buy or have on order?
Thanks! Yeah there's not too much to cover on this one, but it's still exciting to see another chance to army build these. I currently have 2 cases of these, and will likely get another 8 troops. ✨👌😃✌️✨
When you compared the loose figures, you didn’t say which one is new. Is the shiny one on the left the new one? I think it looks better, but which one is more accurate?
Apologies! I should have made that more clear, but the older version is the one on the left. I did mention that the one on the left has the better rifle with paint applications that they should be including for all releases. I would say the brighter white is more accurate, and looks better 😁✌️
Do you think the Sandtrooper will be considered a “Deluxe” because of the accessories? Jango came with nothing and was a deluxe . . . Great review as always! Sorry for complaining.
@@butwhydoe4020 thanks man!! And it’s all good, there’s always things that Hasbro could do much better, and we should point stuff out. As for deluxe, I hope not, but also don’t think it would come to that. The mortar trooper had a bunch of accessories, and was mainline. Also the original TVC Sandtrooper fit easily on a card, and they would likely use those older cards…🤔
