Love the video! I recently just got back into playing TCG's after not touching them for over 9 years. I've been playing the One Piece TCG but now there is a Star Wars TCG and I'm PUMPED! Subscribed.
Can you take a moment to explain the mechanic you mentioned at the beginning, where Han can get a 3 cost card out in Turn 1? I'm reading the card and missing something. Thanks!
So with Han Solo leader card his ability allows if to (for an action) exhaust Han and put a card from your hand down as a resource, but you need to destroy it at the start of the next action phase. This allows you to put it down and give you three resources before you play a card on your first turn. I hope that helps and made sense
The only question I have about leaders is how easy it is to have enough Rebels to make Leia great in pre-release? Another video I watched had her and Tarkin bottom tier because they didn’t think you could reliably get enough Rebels or Imperials.
I know the packs are unreliable as far as the potential to get enough rebels and imperial units to get them to be as effective as possible, but there are quite a number of each (imperial and rebel units) where you can make them work out more often than not. It’s not going to be in every prerelease kits, but I do think they’ll be good in a decent percentage of kits. It’s all opinion based and I understand putting them in lower tiers, but for me and the tests I’ve done with other people I’ve seen that they were good and I completely understand it’s pack dependent.
Vader's pressure turned out to be obscene. I swept my locals with Vader. Just the ability to plink anything meant my opponent wasn't allowed to "Survive at 1" with anything.
My first prerelease every person I played against was playing Vader lol I have my second one soon hopefully get to go up against something different 😂 but yeah Vader is definitely a powerful unit and it makes sense that a lot of people choose it being that it’s the only time you can use it in sealed
I know it is more a habit than confidence, you are very knowledgeable, and enjoy the topic, but your bad habit of "Ummm" needs work. The listener does not mind a second of silence or reflection, gives time to absorb, and shows that the speaker is giving it thought. Umm, tends to sound nervous or unthinking. Which is not the case. It is a vocial habit. Try thinking of words with breath in, rather than sound breathing out. Hope this is read as constructive criticism and not sniping. I, too, had issues with this habit, and worse yet, I mumbled a lot, so I am saying this from a helpful pointer, as enjoy and value what you have to say.
Always like constructive criticism, and I appreciate it very much. It’s something that I know I have to work on for sure and I’ll definitely work on this. I hoping as I continue it’ll get better 😅 but I really do appreciate the feedback I like to take in any feedback, the good praises and what I need to work on so I appreciate it for sure 👍🏻
I think a lot of people feel this way, I personally like most of the cards art, but some are iffy. I get where you're coming from, but i would still give it a shot. The gameplay feels very nice and i think you'd enjoy it
@@Hannonz when i see an aa or darth vader in general I want to feel like WOAHHHHHH or DOOM when he hits the table. This is just like oh, its darth vader. Idk this stylized art isnt doing it for me nor any of the friends ive shown it too. Ill still try it out but they have to up the art game to appeal to a wider audience
I find there is a lot of variety in the card art, some I love and some I don’t. Some of the artists are just too cartoony for me. Honestly I think it’s better that way, to have variety, and I’ll use and collect the cards I think look cool.
It’s been growing on me. I didn’t like the light anime style at first, but it translates to some elements quite nicely. It also has good synergy with the foil and full art aesthetic! Lastly, I enjoyed the SWD art, but I’m glad they didn’t just recycle that old art.
