This was really fun. Thanks for doing it! I always enjoy it when Darth Vader is shown to be properly amazing and badass. I always feel like, as crazy as the EU got with characters and power, Vader deserved to be one of the--if not THE--greatest. This was a really good technical breakdown of how even in-universe, that holds true. Awesome job, guys!
I believe Krayt wins this duel 6 or 7 times out of 10. Despite his unrivaled strength in the star wars universe, there was a reason Vader never killed palpatine and fulfilled the rule of 2. His suits' inherent weakness too lightning was an intentional flaw designed by palpatine you guys underestimate in this video. Krayts' endurance, lightning and overrall versality of lightsaber form being a product of a century and a half of training make me confident Vader would be lucky too come out of a fight with Krayt alive.
This is downballing Krayt and kissing Vader's ass. Vader 's force powers is immense but weakened due to the loss of so much limbs and body tissue. Krayt on the other way, have a lot in his disposal and with careful analysis .He would have shut Vader down by slowly peeling off that Force protection. Krayt 's powers is above to Siduous due to exprience and extensive immersion in the Force. If Vader was that strong, he would have overthrown Siduous and take the throne. Vader is but a shadow of himself in the Force. His lightsaber form is refined and deadly but he suffers to inconsistent sword style specialists like Krayt who can switch styles and attack patterns in a whim leaving Vader confused. Vader would give Krayt a hard time, Krayt will be fueled with rage at Vader due to Vader cause the jedi to fall amping up Krayt. Secondly, Vader will be careful in his approach but will be overwhelmed by Krayt's long years of training to make Vader pay. Thirdly, Krayt will constantly peel off Vader 's force defences bit by bit while off balancing Vader. Vader will be on the defence if he goes offence, he will be dead. Vader goes for power cleaves, Krayt dodges or sidestep and goes for the opening . Vader goes for speed strikes, Krayt will meet the blade as he is faster and shatterpoint allows Krayt to identify weakness and flaws
Lord Hex this is not gonna be a stomp. Vader has survived his suit failing him before several times and relied on the for and fought under those conditions using the pain to strengthen him
You're going to ignore the fact that Asharad hett(krayt) blitzed Anakin(Vader)? Neither were in their prime, but if you're going to say that Vader improved significantly, then you have to say the same for Krayt. Prime Krayt is a magnitude above prime Vader, boasting superior experience and feats and dark side ability.
Venislava Lagova I Don't think it's that easy Vader Wins 6/10 Cade has force lighting the one ablitity Vader can't defended against and if Cade gets a touch off him he is flipping Srewed and I won't put it past Cade if Vader put his Gaurd down he's Dead it's nearly a split
@Megami Dreemur No outside help in fights it's like giving Vader ability to call Inquisitors (EU) his students (Lumyia, Flint, possibly Starkiller), Sidious and entire Empire. Still Vader will not win this
@@ggamesgarner8027 Uh... What? Krayt would destroy Caedus, as would Yoda. Caedus in terms of skill, lost to Jade, and would have lost to Kyle too. He beat both with tricks, or would have died. Tricks that wouldn't work on Krayt even remotely. Certainly not Yoda, who would sense such, and stop it with ease, while Ragdolling Caedus. I will agree that Krayt was not on Palpatine's level, however.
Some Guy everything you said was 100% wrong. Caedus destroyed Kyle with ease by RAGDOLING him while severely injured from previously fighting. He fought a pissed off grand master Luke and was almost equaling him in saver combat and actually got blows on him. He beat jade and jade was amped. He also was still overpowering Jaina even WITH lukes help and while being impaled in the stomach AND a cut off arm AND he was distracted. Being called superior to Vader by many people and Vader has been confirmed to be 80% of the emperor by the time of ROTJ making caedus likely at LEAST 90% of the emperor. Krayt is strong but he’s nowhere near those levels. Yoda would put up a really good hard fight but still is not beating caedus.

He was massively holding back. He also ragdolls Caedus multiple times, and Caedus himself realizes Luke is WAY beyond him. Their power in the force isn't even comparable. You are only looking at his strengths, and none of his failings. I will give you that Kyle is no match, or Jade, but he is not on par with Yoda, Luke, or Krayt. None of them would have had trouble with Jade. Or an amped Jaina.
On the catwalk Vader was not holding back. He was going for head shots on Luke and Luke struck back. There was also no holding back against Starkiller.
Balta Skywalker Whether you want to kill someone or not there is a difference between getting beaten on a fluke and getting beat down like Vader did. Plus, Vader couldn't even get through an out of prime Ben Kenobi.
Darth Vader It took to forfeit the fight for Vader to win ... The two were fighting for several minutes. Vader should have been ashamed an old man like that could stand up to him as long as he did (especially when Vader was in more shape in active combat at that point while Ben hadn't had a fight in decades).
Really well done! ... I don't agree though. XD Seeing as how well A'Sharad did against Kenobi, and that was FAR before his prime as Krayt, at the very most, I see Vader as only having a very marginal and almost negligible advantage in dueling. Something Krayt has that Vader doesn't though is mastery of Teras Kasi. I don't seeing this coming into play in any big way, but at the very least, it's still an advantage for Krayt. I agree Vader's TK is overall better than Krayt's, but again, marginally so. Plus, we have that feat you mentioned of Krayt withstanding one of Abeloth's blasts/force waves/repulses. Yes, that avatar of Abeloth was weakened, and a fraction of her entire power, but even so, Abeloth was considered a dozen times more powerful than Luke, so even a fraction of her power (depending on the fraction) is still immensely powerful to say the least. I can see Vader giving Krayt a good deal of trouble, but I don't see Vader winning a majority or even half the time.
I don't see the point of Krayt's One Sith helping out. They're not even needed. Krayt would beat Vader, depending on which version of Krayt. Pretty much the only version of Krayt that would lose to Vader is Krayt during the comic series, Legacy, specifically BEFORE he becomes Krayt Reborn.

I feel like Krayt would have been better as Palpatine's apprentice and could have actually learned under him unlike Vader. If he lived long enough he would maybe have been able to almost beat Palpatine. I'd give this fight 8/10 for Krayt. Maybe 1/10 he takes Palpatine
Physical round I can see and the power round is no question however when it comes to the dueling skills I highly disagree with Vader being the better duelist considering some or many believe that krayt is the equal or greater duelist when compared to Darth Krayt
I have to agree that Vadar is Buffed here a good deal. While yes he does learn to adapt to his suit very well it still forces him to exert the force to keep up. He is a master of using Force enhanced abilities but so is Krayt. Suggesting that his Overall strength is much higher is not one that can be easily matched. Force enhancements only go so far, his droid-like limbs allow him to kill with unarmed attacks such as choking or whatever, but this does not apply much into actual swings as neither of his limbs are cybernetic up to the elbow meaning they do not have a mechanical advantage on the swing from either an enhanced shoulder or elbow joint.
I would go with Krayt, who fried force-resistant Vong and challenged Kenobi long before his time and has Dark Transfer, but I feel like scaling him accurately is impossible. One line of scaling suggests that he is massively more powerful than any Clone Wars character. Evidence is that he grew substantially after already pushing Kenobi that he was presented as Grandmaster Luke's counterweight in the force, contributing significantly alongside Luke against Abeloth implying that they are close. He was also viewed as a massive threat by the powerful Caedus. However given that Krayt Reborn was defeated by Cade (even though it can be argued as an outlier) and that Wryylock III could content with him at least somewhat it is clear that while significantly stronger than Vector Krayt, Krayt Reborn was not stronger by some absurd margin. Given that it is notable that Vector Krayt struggled against Karness Muur, who was not even one of the strongest ancient sith, being surpassed by the likes of Sorzus Syn and Marka Ragnos. Basically if you try to reconcile those lines of reasoning all the notable Legacy characters would scale above all the Clone Wars greats and the Ancient Sith would be rivalling or surpassing Grandmaster Luke, not to mention that the likes of Exar Kun, Malak and Vitiate have been stated to surpass the ancients. He is a walking con tradiction.
While I do like Vader and definitely agree he's incredibly skilled, I kind of thought krayt would be the victor, especially in terms of Lightsaber com at and he seems to be the kind of niiman user that would be an issue for Vader to deal with, incorporating moves in a certain style that Vader would not be prepared for, he would hold out and defend and counter from certain attacks, but would not be able to handle krayts moves for long. Aside from that though, I really did like this battle, this was a nice matchup.

Vader would not win this, altough it would be tough battle Krayt at this point is propably stronger than ROTS Sidious (or at least close to him), his lightning will be too much and Vader's defence is far from flawless, I would say that it is rather flawed considering how many enemies he fought landed glancing blows on him or injured him.
I believe Vader would smoke kraayt at anytime considering he lived during the same time as kraayt but over all that time not once did kraayt attempt to fight Vader being scared of the empire.Also Vader has a large arsenal of force abilities he would prefer killing them himself with his blade.
He legit prepares himself to take over the empire by training on Korriban for twenty years and Vader was already dead by the time he was done training, even before his sith training he contended with obi wan on tattooing
Great video! I am 100% in favor of the verdict that you two reached with Vader and Kraft and the battle played out similarly how I thought it would. I hope to see more videos with these two in the future. Also, may I recommend a possible match-up between Dass Jennir vs Asajj Ventress. It may not scream something as epic as Vader vs. Krayt, but it's one that I thought you might be interested in. Keep up the good work!
Wow, I didn't know this was going to be a collab. Awesome!! Anyway, a fantastic VS video and one that recognizes Krayt's insane power, but doesn't overrate him to the point where he can magically defeat Darth Bane. I especially loved the editing and the writing in this one. Well done both of you, looking forward to many more collabs in the future.
Hmm... personally I see this going to Krayt 6/10, but it's a *very* close match either way and the scenario for his loss provided in the narration is entirely believable. Krayt *can* win saber-to-saber against Vader if his balls-out unpredictable offensive is successful early on but old age, treachery and experience just can't conquer Force-enhanced cybernetics in a contest of physical strength. I see his victory through mastery of Force powers as much more likely. Anyway great job the both of you. I've been looking forward to this for a very long time and it delivered.
Real inaccurate matchup the only edge I really see Vader having is as a duelist but you can even argue it could be at a stalemate since A’Sharad Hett fought during the Clones Wars and was already more experienced than Anakin at the time but in the end they both lost to Obi Wan. Krayt is arguable almost close if not on par with EU Emperor Palpatine he has Force Lightning as powerful as his though he couldn’t use planetary level Force Storms like Palpatine he is on par with him as far as Force abilities go also I said Palpatine you know the guy Vader couldn’t overthrow on his own it would be suicide for Vader to try and Krayt is on that man’s level and also Krayt was able to go head on against Abeloth with the Grandmaster Luke as his ally and not die obviously no match for her on his own and they managed to seal her, these are characters whom are leagues ahead of Vader. I don’t see Vader winning this, Anakin Skywalker when reaching his potential we never saw yes certainly but not Vader the shadow of his former self as far as reaching his full potential.
wh do you think would win in a fight between qui gon jin and general grievous because it would be close since qui gon is a specialists in multi opponent fights and since grievous does fight like 5 people at once it would be interesting if we knew who would win
Subliminal Master but qui gon is train in multi oponate fights meaning he can endure a lot of abuse brought on by more then one saber ill give you an example my martail arts training allows me to fight up to 4 opposites and win simply but using confine spaces and wearing your opposite out and ive done it energy can be spent faster then most realize

Subliminal Master he did but he doesnt do well againts very defensive opponants like obi won and greivous is a very offensive fighting someone like obi one and qui gon are very defensive as the style teaches and since maul was a single opponent which is struggled with normally if you are traind to fight more then one opponent your always going to be multi tasing loking for more then one saber there for single saber attackers will have an advantage because qui gon was deviding more of his attention to mor ethen one fighter
I like this video it's a pretty nice video and I do agree because Vader's use of the force even with his limbs chopped off is said to be one of the strongest in the Galaxy ever besides few. Furthermore again in multiple different sources he said to have one of the best dueling abilities of anyone in the entire galaxy. His skill with the lightsaber and his Force plus his experience hunting down and killing Jedis I think would give him an edge over Krat. Although there might be a chance that Krat would be able to strike a blow to his life support system to where Vader would have to use his force abilities to keep himself alive but even then Krat probably wouldn't want to go on the offencive. I give this battle to Vader nine times out of 10.
If you mean the player character from The Force Unleashed II (the clone of the character from the first game), then Malgus wins; if you are referring to the character from The Force Unleashed (who is often referred to by his real name, Galen Marek, to distinguish him from his clone in TFU 2), I'm not entirely sure.

Also to all nay Sayers, if this was Vader as he now appears in Canon, I would agree that Kyrat should have been the victor, however this is Vader as he appears in Legends and therefore has more information as well as more impressive feats to draw on. I feel much stress that Vader would be winning by the absolute skin of his teeth and if he lets up for even a second, then Kryat will crush Vader instantly.
Hmm I had a feeling this matchup would be hard. Good to see Rico and Soup do vs vids. Im leaning on Krayts side though not in a stomp Not even close to one... Ill agree with the sabers its too hard for me to call as Vader is used to fighting opponents (More or less seen in comic strips). However I saw that comic strip with Vader vs Mauls clone. Once maul used 2 blades it really swayed into mauls favor. Maul 2 is also a user if not specialist of Niman's dual bladed saber Krayts mastery would have them trading for days. But like I said for days, as maul had Juyo's great speed to cut Vader up abit more. Krayts Reborn Strength I felt would more than keep Vaders TK off of him. (My critique on the verdict) Also I havent seen Vader use the force while being dominated by Force lightning before especially by Krayts power it would be like TFU 2 but worse. Also I dont think Vader would even be able to get back up so quickly and reengage Krayt into a submissive beating with a saber, and Krayt just stand there like *gasp* :0 Lets say it did work and Krayt would be flying backwards, atleast a few yards Vader would be limping to Krayt, your saying Krayt would have a DBZ heart attack and just wait for Vader still coping with powerful lightning to just take it? For one who gives Krayt the Force advantage it sure takes one TK hit from a damaged opponent to keep (Which ever version of Krayt) down. Also which Krayt is this...the pictures keep transitioning to Reborn Krayt and Vong Krayt. VOng Krayt I would say Vader in harder fight. (Hell I think he might loose a limb or two) Reborn IM giving it to Krayt in a hard fight as his lightning and dark transfer would keep him off.
Great video, though I am not entirely sure that I agree with the verdict. Not due to any biases, as I love both and I do agree that it would be extremely close either way. I am leaning towards Vader winning the fight, though I would have to look into it more. Would either of you mind giving me your personal thoughts on Vader vs Darth Bane. In that case, I do personally think that Vader would win, though by a very slight margin.
I'm not too sure tbh, I haven't read the Bane Trilogy in a very long time. I'm inclined to say Bane but Rico would know better, I'll redirect him here next time I talk to him if he doesn't find this himself first
Fair enough. I think that if Vader could beat Darth Krayt then he could probably beat Darth Bane. I know that is kind of ABC logic, as I think Krayt would defeat Bane, but I don't see Bane being much more of a threat than Krayt. Again, awesome video, guys.
You know you can call it legends Darth Vader. Because EU is anything outside of the Star Wars movies so even the new comics and books are still considered EU even clone wars is considered EU. Also legends is a separate continuity in fact it's the original continuity

@Wes Bradley-Taubner I mean yes give him a war room and he's a genius. But if you drop him into a cold engagement without reinforcements just himself, the force and his big ol' sword then he's less so. But still I like Sadow's character. Especially the way that he killed Ludo.

Jeff Collins GreyJedi91 definitely has great content too, but we all have our biases, me included. I just suggested Jensaarai1 because he goes the heaviest into analysis imo, even though I don't always agree with him. Either way I think both of their videos are great, I was just trying to match his preference.
Two of my favourite Sith Lords facing off in one to one combat. I honestly thought had this, even at the end as you said Vader was using powerful overhand strikes. I thought as Vader landed the killing blow, Krayt would pull his trump card, getting into physical range and performing essence transfer against him. But honestly, I would have been happy either way both are great characters. Well done for making a great versus match :-)

EU Darth Vader definitely would have won but can invader I think it's a little more stronger just the fact that he's now able to go into a bafa tank and now he's able to recover a little bit and also meditate more eat more sleep and also learn more that's what makes him a little more powerful in Cannon just because row one shoulder that he is now his baffle tank which means he can do so much more and that means he can be more powerful
Dark karty has been through more than probably any Sith has ever been through he survived five different eras and he knows every lightsaber style of fighting and not to mention you seem to forget that he wears Yvonne vohn armor which is imperious to lightsaber attacks Vader is not wining if you want to say dark Sidious ok that's understandable but v
krayt he's been around since before the Clone Wars he's wayyyyy more experience than Darth Vader he has way more knowledge about The Darkside then him and he survived a lightsaber to the chest before and was able to Reincarnate himself
Where does it say that tell me and let's say you're right about that this challenge is about their abilities and knowledge of the dark side at the point from where they at now not what if Vader reached his potential because he didn't we have two bases this challenge what we been given there for Vader is not beating him
