Yes you just have to make sure that when u launch the server that the mods are in the starbound mod folder as paks otherwise launching the server will always be vanilla even if u have them in the workshop (Steamapps-Workshop-211820 in there are the folders with the paks, those paks must go in the Steamapps-common-starbound-mods Folder) Then if u start the server over steam it should load all the mods ^^ Ps. if the paks do not get there because they have the same name just rename each pak to something different, just ad 1,2,3 etc.
Does this in any way reduce the lag compared to the local server, or will the experience of other players still depend on what my machine is capable of? I've got a pretty good internet connection but a weak CPU (R3 1200), so when playing with friends via streamlined multiplayer (my friends just press "connect" on my steam profile, like in Terraria) it barely handles running about together. Mining lasers from Frackin' are a no-go, even in single-player they cause some spikes.
I'm confused, I did the cmd to look for my local address (the ip4 address) and ran the server app to give me the port for it, then when I test it by joining I can't even get past step 1 cause it says error. Edit: I put my local address into playit w/ the port and tried logging in and its giving me an error/timout "while establishing connection" ;/
Hey. I really want to buy Premium for Playit. I tried before other things that didn't work. I got (NetworkException) error while trying to Join my own server that has mods. Is this kind of issue something Playit can figure it out?
so basically i downloaded playit and it just did nothing at all. wow ok that sucks. not only that i also wanst able to get the server to run the first time. and ya, i don't know if it is just my pc not being able to download stuff anymore. or i just downloaded something random onto my pc that did nothing but waste more space. and wanna know the fun part? I CAN'T FUCKING DELETE IT!
