Two viewer games of StarCraft 2. The first one is a very cringy Terran versus Protoss between two players in Silver/Bronze League. The second is a Terran versus Protoss in Platinum League that starts off with both players cheesing each other.

Vikings make sense: He knew Alt would make an air unit to hunt the other base (since he wasn't hunting it on land), so Neil wanted to be able to handle an air army. (Which worked - he took out the Voidrays pretty quickly.) Then he just didn't need to think about it to make more - they're fast, they were killing everything, no need to make anything else.

In one recent game, the player said "lol yeah right I can't win" and gg-ed. The Masters badge shows up on loading screens.

Up to about diamond, there's a lot of fuckery. Past that, people are too focused on winning and start mimicking pro build as much as possible.

You're going to see some crazy sh*t... I think it actually gets worse in silver/gold than it is in bronze. One thing I've noticed is that if someone is chatty, they're almost definitely trying to distract you from something, and if someone says there's an 'emergency' and they're 'going afk', but not surrendering, they're actually trying to max out on carriers.

Like a decade ago I "won" a few matches by typing "*PLAYER* has left the game." and they quit and I won. Tried it many many times just a few times it acutally worked, gives me a smile remembering :-)

That was just painful. Doesn’t matter if you think you know where your opponent is, vision is important! A single unit, one you’re not using, sent around the map can save you from cheese, or something game-ending. Don’t have to check often. Check if you think your opponent is cornered. Check if nothing has happened in a bit. Check if your opponent doesn’t gg, etc etc I don’t play versus, I don’t like SC2’s PvP (or most PvP in general) but even I know that vision is super important.

Lowko! Just wanna say that I appreciate very much that you do NOT do "game highlights", but rather show whole games (with occasional speedup/rewinds which is totally OK). I think that adds lovely "chill component" do your casts, so I can watch my favourite youtuber while doing chores around the house, instead of actively following fast-paced action, that SC2 really is. During a patch ago. If you Lose a match in ranked I tested it. Lose a match any match on American server during the patch. You were put in masters but you still had your same MMR.

After following you for a while I decided to get back to sc2 after 10 years. Played my first 5 ladder games, lost all of them and got bronze league with about 2100 mmr. After that the next game was to qualify for the new season. I won it (barely) and suddenly I was on master league with the same 2100mmr. This is very weird. Haven't won a single game since then.

The Masters league thing is a low level glitch thats been happening to people around silver - randomly being given masters border sub 2k MMR

First game is the definition of karma. I've played a grand total of 10 multiplayer games of SC2 back in 2010 (and then farm max lelvels on A.I.) and even I know about the "revealed" message. Or, at the very least, to look around the map if there's no win happening.

Get double gas. 1 probe mining gas after both finish for like 3 mins. Lol. Also, ranking so funky these day. I started playing after like 6 years break. Took 5 placement, lost 2 and won 3 and was put in master. I was diamond/plat back in the day so it was strange. I did manage to stay in Master tho.
