Video demonstrating how to beat "The Devil's Playground" in Brutal mode in a short amount of time. The only thing built in this mission when performing this strategy is SCVs.
The trick is to use your Reapers to pick up the various resource pellets around the map and to finish the mission before the computer sends in any forces on the offensive.
As noted in the video, I made a major mistake by not paying attention to my Command Center when the computer wiped it out. Normally you can fly that over to the base in the north loaded with SCVs and drop your SCVs off on the resource pellets in the final base, picking up a bonus 500 minerals. I also did not get all the resource pellets around the Brutalisk.
While the clock time to beat this mission is much lower than the "long way", it is much more difficult to execute. Most people will actually find it is faster to try to beat this mission by raising a large army, since the latter does not really require any precision.
