Mengsk did not suffer enough in the last cinematic. I would've mutated him into some kind a zerg larva before letting him rot in a very very small pool.
i mean human beings in times of extreme pain actually turn off pain receptors to avoid overwhelming the brain. she put that psionic power into his mind which was probably pure 100% extreme pain. I mean i would have let him suffer way longer while stabbing him more and more ending with that brain explosion. Sadly blizzard could not have done much more or else the games age restriction would have to go up. Also how are jim and kerrigan ok from that massive explosion.
The scene with General Warfield; at about 14:10, there's this kind of horrific chime in the music, as the zergling creeps on him, kinda gives me chills. its like, 'this is the end for you, and always remember this: every time you think you've defeated the Zerg and think you've figured them out, they prove you dead wrong'. i dunno, i always though that part was chilling. While the Protoss are the same way, the Zerg in my opinion are more horrifying of an enemy, the kind of alien race you hope to God is not out there somewhere. At least the Protoss you might be able to reason with them, except Tal Darim.
@@Oceanz08 The man risked his life over 3 games to get Kerrigan back. He loves her and how does she thank him? By go Zerg, friend zoning him and leaving.
I feel like people are missing the whole point of what/why Kerrigan is the way she is, people complaining about the story being awful, and it basically making the WoL campaign moot. First of all, Kerrigan only went on a killing rampage and changed back into the Queen because she thought that Jim was dead. Classic tragic love story here. Her love is presumed dead, so she goes down a dark path. The other thing to remember about this, is that this time when she becomes the queen, she still retains her humanity (not physically obviously). Originally, the Overmind corrupted and infested her through and through. This time there is no influence from the Overmind. She is the Queen of blades, yet still retains who she is inside. It's like the best of both worlds (if you consider being half zerg a good thing)
the overmind was being controlled by amon and had but one purpose to destroy the protoss. The overmind found a loophole and created kerrigan with partially free will to "save the zerg from extinction" but had to be binded to the overmind/amon. then the overmind died and left amon "influencing" her decisions. Finally the keystone removed amon and left kerrigan to achieve full power.
OMG in 15:30 it was so sad to hear that the general died right before Kerrigan stopped the swarm. I felt so bad for him and also so proud of Kerrigan :,(
It surprises me to this day that people are still complaining about the change of character in Kerrigan's arch at the end of WOL. Isn't it quite clear that she cares for Raynor, knowing that he went through the entire game to make her human again? That is dedication, and she realised that. When everybody else, hell, the entire fucking universe had made up their minds about her, Raynor still kept on fighting to get her back. There is a sense of respect in that, and she knew that, eventually. However, she knew it could not last. Could it have been portrayed better? Of course. Is it still a good character arch? Hell yeah, it is.
I don't think they will. She was human to begin with, then Queen of Blades, then human when Jim rescued her, then Queen again when she thought Jim was dead. If they did it a THIRD TIME, that'd be a little too cliche.
Im so emosinal so i almost got into tears , and im the guy that dident cry a single drop on my fathers nore mothers fernurals , im an man of strangth still i cry to this Epic Saga many times over! (got to love the starcraft history)
did anyone else catch how the game tricks you? the whole time they portray kate (the news girl) as the only spot of truth in the media so when she announced jims death you totally believe her
Legacy of the void needs a cinematic where zeratul stops holding back and kicks kerrigan's butt. The protoss could destroy everything but don't, they need to stop holding back and unleash pain on the zerg!
+Lucas Scandella I agree, the lines "The zerg pulled back, it's a miracle! We're gonna make it! General! General?" were just brilliant, especially right after him saying "we're not gonna make it"
ᵂᴴᴼ ᶜᵃʳᵉˢ? and the terrans brought zerg to tarsonis so that the protoss would kill everything, basicly zerg and protoss at war then terran show up making it a 3 way war (apart from jim who has befriended both zerg and protoss and now effectively leads all the terrans)
REALLY late for the party; but basically; for reproducction; Xel'Naga needed to 'guide' the evolution of lesser species to eventually, create a new generation of Xel'Naga (yeah, aprenttly, when you achieve cosmic goodhood, reproduction becomes pretty mutch 'gardening') so they created the protoss; who had 'puritty of form'... but lacked 'essence' to ascend... A rogue Xel'Naga, Amon; created the zerg; who had 'puritty of essence'... but lacked 'form'. In order to combine both he needed the zerg to 'assimilate' the protoss and worked to create hybrids of both races... witch angered the other Xel'Naga; and led to a war that aparenttly destroyed both... but Amon really went into hide; leaving behind an agent; the Overmind; a leader for the zerg swarm with the mission to assimilate the protoss... but the protoss where inmune to zerg infestation...sooo the war went on for milennia with neither of the species been able to exterminate the other. Meanwhile, in the other side of the galaxy; with nothing to do with any of this; a young race; the humans reached the stars; and a group of colonist; the Terrans; eventually reached the Kropullu Sector; home to both children of the Xel'Naga. The Overmind, discovered that while most humans where mere monkeys with little interest; some of them where born with high psionic capabillities; enhanced by their primitive sience... and one of them fell into his hands: Kerrigan. She could be assimilated by the zerg infestation; and transformed into a viable terran-zerg hybrid; the Queen of Blades... And MAYBE using her; his mission was achiveable... But in Starcraft 1; the Protoss-terran alliance destroys the Overmind; seemenglly ending Amon's mission... but know; the Queen; free of Amon's influence; fougth by her own to domminate all zerg and consume all their enemies... This is where Starcraft II begins. Jim is triying to turn Sarah back into human (what he achieves ant the end of Wings of Liberty); Zerathul, who has studied the old Xel'Naga text has learn of Amon and the Hybrids; and knows that they will come back and destroy all life in the Sector in the process... and ironically; Sarah is again the key to wining this war. In Heart of the Swarm; Sarah, in order to defeat Mengsk becomes a Zerg Hybrid again... but thanks to Raynor and Zerathul (who guides her to Zerus; where zerg untainted by Amon exist) this time is able to maintain mutch of her humannitty intact... Finally, in Legacy of the Void; Artannis; new leader of the Protoss; while he is triying to reunite the rival protoss factions and reclaim their lands; learns from Zerathul the danger of Amon... and that this terran-zerg hybrid; Kerrigan; may be the key to survible... ...so in the end; Protoss (Artannis), terran (Raynor) and Zerg (Kerrigan) travel together to the Void to figth Amon before he achieves his army of hybrids. There, they find the last remainig Xel'Naga; who completes Sarah's evolution converting her into a full-fletched Xel'Naga; and with her godlly power she is able to finish Amon and free the Sector once and for all. So, long story short; originally terrans where complete outsiders of the conflict; but in the end; only a terran was able to recieve both puritty of 'form' and 'essence' to become a new Xel'Naga. They where iterally the missing link, sort of.
Jim will kill Kerrigan... if Blizzard goes down the route I believe they will.... Zeratul says neither Protoss nor Zerg will live, they willl be extinct. As did Narud... But they didn't say how. the OBVIOUS is Aemon. But Blizzard won't be that obvious... Jim Raynor will have to be the one, unles Blizz opts for doom and gloom where all die, or if they all survive and live happy ever after, Another way to interpret is that Kerrigan somehow loses all zerg and psyonic ability... somehow turning her back terran/human. But that seems too easy.
Unless if the prophecies can really evolve, maybe it's more like the Human, the Zerg and the human will not live any longer apart, but as one, a single nation.
I hope so, and hope not in some weird ways. I see the Zerg as the badguys, and it is hard for me to see them in some peaceful light, even with Humanized QoB Kerrigan. Unless by apart you mean some sort of genetic morph that isn't quite infestations?
CenturyNitro Are you sure they need Cerebrates? The Homeworld of the Zergs is a jungle now and the manuel of starcraft 1 says It was just a barren rock planet after the Zerg leave it. So.. who knows..
Kerrigan has more powers than just control a zerg. She is...: *DARTH KERRIGAN, LEADER OF THE ZERG EMPIRE* Dun dun dudun dun dudun dun dudun Dun dun dudun dun dudun dun dudun...
I'm not sure I get what the deal is... Like, what revenge? Kerrigan originally wanted revenge for what she thought was the death of Jim Raynor right? What about after she found out he was alive?
+DingDongDanger you forget the wing of liberty? mengsk abandoned kerrigan and her comrades in a planet full of zerg, then kick the remaining ones ( Raynor and his team) out and made them as criminals.
+rua nguyen They were not kicked, they left, if you have played the original you know that because you destroy a cannon as you leave and according to sc2 they steal the flagship and then try to spread a republic everywhere, that's why they are made out as criminals.
Mengsk would do anything to have Kerrigan's death, as Valerian admitted it himself. This whole revenge goes pretty deep if you ask me. Only when Mengsk die would Kerrigan find some sort of peace
Wings of Liberty on brutal difficulty is way too hard compared to Heart of the Swarm. On HOTS, most missions can be easily beaten if you just mass units and use Kerrigan's abilities.
I'm more of a macro than micro person, so I didn't bother using Kerrigan much. WoL Brutal was easier than HoTS is for me so far. I don't have siege tanks to rape everything in my path anymore.
+GuitarM0use u get kerrigan to rape everything in ur path now!! Im a micro too. I didn't even bothered to get an army at some points. with kerrigan was just enough! even more so if you choose to go to the zerg primals planet as soon as its available.
It’s only a crap game there’s no comedy, drama or good story moments at all Hmmm? Oh that’s not so much 15:01 Hmmm? so 18:31 HMMMM!? 10:30 HMMMMMMM!? 7:38 HMMMMMMMMM!? 27:08 *Shivers* 20:06
eh sc1 is life, sc2 doesn't have the same atmosphere imo, sc2 everything just feels too humane..zerg have english speaking officers that talk just like humans..Kerrigan "i am the swarm" saying do not have sense to me anymore, IF YOU are the SWARM, YOU ARE god damn the whole swarm, like with the BORG when single queen ruled the whole BORG, only the overmind and perhaps cerebrates are ok, but the rest? it is nonsense, it' like in cartoon when u see animals speak like humans . The protoss also have weaker impact , sc1 zealots had this strong voice and this alien badass look, sc2 zealots just look more pretty with uninteresting voices and feel useless in game.
+419chris419 kerrigan gets uninfested at the end if WOL then she infests herself again then she becomes a super siyen in LOTV then comes back uninfested and not on fire to end the game. so in short she got infested the uninfested then infested herself again came back as a super siyian then came back normal and went off with Raynor. great
