Man, how I wish Dark actually used his drones to mine Byun's minerals like at all. There's been maybe 40+ minutes during this 2 hour video when Dark either had a base on Byun side of the map and just didn't mine from it, or had perfectly clear opportunity to build a base and refusing to do so for 10 minutes. Games would look a lot different if he did
First game is so hard to break a Turtling Terran. I threw 115k resources in a game on that map, and just couldn't crack the defenses. Insane game though.
34:00 im curious, would it be a viable play to go for the production with the mutas? in my mind it sounds good bc he cannot defend it without leaving his mining base more open to an attack and he would have to rebuild all of that which is not free (could be wrong though, im just a diamond 3 player)
Another question also, how can you get 7 hatches and terran somehow manage not to lose? No matter how good you are if you let someone expand 7 bases to early on you should lose.
@@kovic199 doesn't matter if he has 7 expansions in this case because he didn't really saturate enough of those hatcheries to get a insane advantage, things just aren't that simple
yer but way low drone count to ue them and no nydus to mine them or reinforce etc; still a like the effect and queens can be easily mass produced and creep everywhere^^
"I'm calling the drones going down here... Ohh It was 0, what a terrible guess" 😅 It's this kind of theatrics that will always keep Captain's videos fresh.
Still a like and a comment :)
39:15 when so few resources honestly you get weird games. alsways disliked low resource counts as your motivator to push for map control ^^ bases should auto produce workers and mine without supply cost; then you actually have to push instead off just turtling up knowing the magic 200supply cap will safe you from being overrun
I think it would be an interesting strat in games like this for the zerg to actually move all drones to mine as much as quickly as possible from the forward or enemy bases, then use a bank and larva to quickly remake drones if forward bases get taken out & start mining. Trade out drones/hatches instead of army. Maybe even make no-mans-land bases to long-distance mine when rebuilding the forward bases. Basically keep enough army to pose a threat but trade drones/hatches for stealing opponent resources then plan for a decisive attack in late game after terran has been kept in check & expansions are already mined. BGMWSS?
Dude I don't think you should be allowed to draw like that. I mean I guess I get it cause zerg has advantage with creep. But come on.. That could have been an insane fight and crazy end..
badly want to see a Z use nydus to transfer drones to bases made on the opponent side; so drones mines the bases furthest away first and flee into the nydus safety whenever threatened; also good way to move units to defend small counters
I don't know yet how the first game will end but it pisses me off that Zerg trades worse by default while the Terran mines less by default. But then in the late game the Terran can catch up with the lost mining in a minute by dropping 160thousand mules.
Zerg trades worse because it has map control and can get more bases. It is very hard to prevent a zerg at the same level as you from getting bases from your half and that is what usually decides any game that goes late game.
44:12 i think his motivating T to go into anti-roach, and then tech switching to it's counter. roach also allow Z to transist into midgame with minimum losses, which you need to be at for tech switch to be valid at all.
SC2 new expansion, Kerrigan goes Protoss, with her being human/zerg, she just needs the power of the Toss. Or maybe she has an offspring with a toss, I don't know the lore enough for toss reproduction, maybe some crazy sect of toss have Kerri genes and tried to make a hybrid they could control. The campaign could be you as the offspring who can control all 3 races, it could have a development tree where you could specialize more into certain race aspects or perhaps ability to combine? If they went all out, you could also play the campaign as one of the 3 races trying to stop the offspring.
Well, they are not so good when there is 4 or 5 mutalisks for each lib, and Mutalisks have bounce too...Evenso they killed a lot of mutas, just not enough.
flyer attack boosts the impact damage from the broodlords (when they shoot out the broodlings), then the broodlings get bonuses for melee upgrades when attacking stuff.
7:43 honestly i think equal upgraded lings, as soon as they have adrenal, are really good actually. i dont feel like they need bane support at that point.
@@snowdrop9810 it also depends on surface area and (kinda obviously) the ammount. a circular group of marines often shreds too fast, yes. but when they stand in a line, i dont know.
@@snowdrop9810ps: also most of the time zerg is behind in upgrades. then it sucks. and adtenal has to be done. anything before that, bane. dont get me wrong i'm not like delusional here. 98% of the time you need a good ammount of banes
I hate zerg cuz its optimal play is to camp but god damn dark is something special. An actual player unlike the clown serral, who sits back and just camps.
