StarCrafts Speed Animation 1 Reaper 

If I remember correctly this segment took me 30-40 minutes

The sheer amount of man-hours it takes to animate something must be absolutely huge. Good on you! You've clearly got both a tremendous talent for it, but also the discipline and dedication required to sharpen your skills and persist with it, for which you should be commended!

pretty close. :) 10-14 hours is usually what I estimate for 60-90 seconds, it really all depends on how many units are in each shot.

Dude dude, the build orders and timings are incredible. You're strategies are executed with such a high level of finesse!

No doubt, the Reaper is my favorite unit in Sc2. This is great seeing a cartoon drawing of him, I mean whats greater then a little animated dude jumping around with a jet pack

There is motion tweening, where you make a model, split it into limbs (kind of like a puppet) and tell the program how you want each part animated. To be fair thought the level of difficulty and patience needed is pretty much the same as frame-by-frame (for very high quality character art and seamless animation I'd assume tweening would be the much more viable option). Ultimately the end result is the same, just different art style
