Starfall Island Theme + Jun Senoue style guitars 

dynamic/adaptive music i believe was already confirmed but it probably wont be to this extent, a shame because this is a kickass idea

The music is confirmed to become more dynamic as you uncover more of the island, or at least as you progress in the game. The Sonic official RU-vid channel had a recent livestream where they played Frontiers (and it seemed they had completed the game, since Sonic was at level 84 and all of the islands were unlocked.) They played some of Kronos Island, and the music was noticeably faster paced (it wasn't rock or anything, but it was a lot more dynamic. It was the Starfall Islands track, but it was much more endgame-ish. The piano was much faster, and there was more instrumentation (it felt a lot fuller.) The song itself had a lot of more emotional arcs, with a part of the song that sounded very hopeful, followed by a part that sounded more sinister. The "electronic drums" (I'm not sure if that's what you call them) were also much more apparent, they hit harder in the track.) tl;dr, the music does become a lot less ambient as you progress throughout the game, don't think it'll hit as hard as it does in this video though, but it seems like it'll still be pretty solid musically

No no you were right, we did get dynamic music on the islands, 7 movements for each chaos emerald you get. It just wasn't rock style.

You know I thought it was before I looked ot up. I thought the calm island theme was a soft motif to Vandalize which would've been cool as hell but oh well the song still fits Sonic I just wish the actual main theme wasn't so underwhelming in comparison.

It can, they showed it in the latest combat video.

Correction: you cannot pick up dropped rings with the cyloop, you spawn new rings that are automatically drawn to you. You still have to pick up your rings when you get hit.
