I’d love it if they added the trade authority kiosk being buildable at your base or allow you to build a traders lodge at your base so they can have traders randomly show up via ship and leave after a certain amount of time. Just to make a base more of a central location.
It would be nice to have a smugglers alliance or merchant/mining alliance that can introduce these gameplay mechanics. I do expect the Tracker’s Alliance to have more of a fleshed out quest line in the future that will let us use the brigs
Agree, I thought that they should use similar mechanic to the cargo links, but have one that we can just set up as a trade authority link. Where all the resources that get routed into that one get picked up by ships and sold. I'd be okay if it they sold for a 10th of the usual sale value. That way we could be mining resources and then selling them off in bulk
ANY traveling merchant ship interaction at outposts would be most welcome. The system just kinda serves no purpose as it is. Here's a fun idea: create a fueling module to be built at outposts and connect it to a designated trade landing platform. Now feed a supply Helium-3 into the fueling module. Presto, your outpost is now a gas station, earning you passive income. Increase the variety of resources you're mining, harvesting, and manufacturing to increase traffic and thereby your profits. Seriously, if any modder wants to implement this idea, go nuts.
I understand why they did what they did. They wanted to make traits really matter by limiting you to just three and making it so the only way to get them was at the beginning. It encourages multiple characters with different backgrounds and traits. But I really do agree that there should be a way to add some of the traits. Or perhaps allow traits to be changed during new game +
👍 I agree 100%. I would love it if we could. It might not make sense for “origin traits” like faction origins (it doesn’t make sense to be able to remove them either - either you grew up in the UC, Freestar, or Neon, or you didn’t), but changing religions or being able to buy the player house after the game has started would be great!
I picked the player house trait for my first playthough and didn't really vibe with it. So NG+ I removed the trait. It makes me wish there were some traits that could be picked up. I agree there need to be some you have to keep and encourage new playthroughs, but maybe a category of minor traits that can be picked up and dropped at any time
missed you guys. glad I'm not the only one. I love playing a scientist/explorer type, it's such a blast! so I look forward to your take on the build and role play of the character
I love that you can hail other ships and sell your stuff to them. The high ship traffic outside popular worlds adds to the immersion, but the fact that you can sell to most of them including Trade Authority ships who will buy stolen and contraband stuff is useful. Once I discovered that I’ve never had serious issues selling stuff other than contraband, but The Den and Red Mile sort that out. Easier still if you get shielded cargo and a frequency jammer at Red Mile.
About Vulture's Roost. In the "bedrooms" and another place or two, there is a lot of contraband, so as a smuggler or pirate you can go loot the place and then apparently when the place resets the contraband does too, so it's a perfect place to raid every so often to get a bunch of contraband at once. Also can't wait for the Scientist explorer. I recently did an exploration-focused Xenobiologist playthrough who, mostly, focused on quests without a combat focus, and only did surveying, transports, helping civilians and exploring. Kinda a Constellation build. I would use Photo Mode to take pics of creatures up close as a part of my Xenobiology background. Very fun playthrough. IMO. Also, I would do the quest/radiant quests in Cydonia where the Mining business guy who has you clean out heatleeches gives you things to liberate from hostiles, so he can sell, BUT I would use a Disruptor to knock everyone out and just grab the stuff. Non-lethal but still spiced things up. Tons of other things but you get the idea.
What I'd really love to see is an option to partially re-make your character after each NG+. Change your appearance, name, traits and your background. The only backgrounds you can change to are the ones you already have the skills for. You take no skill penalties for choosing a new background. Also since this is a NG+ overhaul, add in new traits. Include an ability to get random traits assigned with each NG+ if you want to roll the dice and take a chance.
Chameleon doesn't stack with concealment, hence no help with staying hidden, but double Chameleon and concealment means 4x damage while hidden. There is another factor in stealth called gravitic composites available ONLY in armor research. This apparently does stack with concealment, but I still haven't found if it stacks with chameleon or not. It is a good substitute if you can't find chameleon gear.
Thanks to this, I only just now realized I rid myself of the Neon Street Rat trait very early on. Talking to Madame Sauvage was one of the very first things I did, and I didn’t even realize I was deleting that trait with that dialogue option. . Now I’m considering starting over a 300h play through because I accidentally missed one of my favorite roleplaying traits this entire time.
Fun melee combo I found, combat sliding towards enemies makes you hidden momentarily. Melee power attack in that brief moment and you get an easy sneak attack. I had rank 4 concealment by the time I found it so not sure if that's why it works. Also if you contact the enemy it won't count as a sneak attack, swords seemed more reliable their range makes it easier to strike without running into the enemy.
Vultures Roost is actually a quest activity you can pick up, but it will still be there even if you dont have the quest yet. I forget where I found it though, its on a note I found. Also when you get to the club house section where the locked rooms are first look around that entire section for a locked Master chest. I saw a comment on another video that the chest is in the kitchen area but honestly I dont remember exactly wich chest it was.The keys for all the rooms are in one of those chests. If anyone wants to know I'll go back and find out exactly which chest it was. But if your thorough you'll find it. Just check everything before going to unlock those rooms. I found it after I already cleared the room's, lol.
Yeah the instance resets every 48 UT, so infinitely lootable and I found the keys in the kitchen. but other people have reported several spawn locations so it could be random, however they do seem to be somewhere related to the first floor bar area, kitchen, safe next to kitchen, walk in fridge etc.
I wish we could add legendary affects to our gear and weapons even if it costs a lot of materials Cause I’m not sure where I can fine legendary variants of my pirate gear and I’ve completed the Fleet quest line
The higher the level you are and the difficulty increase the chance of a drop but it's a pain in the arse even with save scumming. Take the Freestar bounty hunter missions for Crimson Fleet captains (you can still kill Crimson fleet even if you sided with them) Just take a legendary Crimson Fleet down to low health save, kill, curse the RNG gods and then reload, repeat until you think F-this!
Keep the keys at Vultures Roost so u can just open the doors and get the loot and contraband, ive done it a few times now and all up like 40k atleast ive gotten and sold.
Fudge Muppet are the best Starfield content creators. And I LOVE that Starfield doesn't hold your hand and people are still discovering all these features.
A carryover from fallout 4 you can move extremely slowly by holding the aim button as you move. It seems to make you impossible to detect by sound, only by line of sight. This might be enough to keep cloaked but I will need to test it. This would also make it easier for people playing on mouse and keyboard.
I wish there was a way to add perks like how skyrim does enchanting. Farming for gear especially low mid teir gear is really annoying. Still trying to find good superior corsair gear for my pirate.
I made a combat medic who was an empath, introverted and a uc native. she spent years as a combat medic working with the UC and eventually joined the Vangaurd, bringing her scientific knowledge to the cause. upon dealing with vae victus and using her empath ability to discover his true nature he pointed out her hypocrisy of someone who has killed just as many in the path to save those from the terromorphs. after finishing her mission she returned to her medical vows of swearing to do no human harm, and now spends her days incapacitating her human foes with a nova disruptor, becoming a total pacifist and focusing on the cultivation of human outposts and scientific pursuits in zoology and Zeno science. I miss the xp from human kills but it's been the most rewarding role play experience yet, particularly with the empath trait dialogues and using introvert with Vasco as a companion
I only got vultures roost by clearing an abandoned hangar/weapons facility and reading some computers about who theyre selling the weapons too and then vultures roost comes up as an activity
I didn't go to the Vulture's roost until late in a play through either. I thought I remember there being a note or an overheard conversation about it some place.
4:14. Funny thing - I spoke to Madame Savage and managed to remove my Neon Street Rat trait without realizing it, so I didn’t notice until much later that it was gone and had to do research to figure out what I had done. Pretty silly, right? 😋
here’s something i haven’t seen anybody talk about. You can buy condos, earn a penthouse, buy one, and choose a home. But you have no way of decorating it besides manually placing miscellaneous items within it. Which takes up a fuck load of time and overall, isn’t worth it. I wish they would add something similar to fallout 3’s system where they had someone you could pay to interior decorate your home.
Hey, fudge muppet I think i have an interesting es6 concept that I think you might find interesting that just came to my mind. I'm sorry, I know this is a starfield video, but I didn't want to forget it, lol. Anyways, I was thinking, what if es6 had the daggerfall covenant reformed, or their was a quest about aiding it to be reformed. Especially if it takes place in both hammerfell and highrock and if skyrim was still in the middle of a civil war or independent during the events of es6 it would certainly be an interesting aspect of the game and definitely a power house of tamriel. The only thing I thing about it is where idk if another daggerfall Covent could be reformed is the fact that the crowns and forebears are at odds again and idk if the orcs would go for it again but I would be interested to hear or see your thoughts on it
The Chameleon effect is odd as here is the info from Skill fix mod. "The chameleon effect from armor is specifically coded to be less effective after you get the rank 3 Concealment skill. It gives 50 points of camouflage if you don't have the perk, and 20 points if you do. Concealment gives 50 points as well. 2 stacks of Chameleon without the perk would put you at 100 points, which is presumably total invisibility. 2 stacks with the perk would only put you at 90.
I just realized i removed my "wanted" trait because all the tracker said was that it was a unique bounty. Come on, that was like an hour into my playthrough. I had no idea what she was talking about.
I spent about an hour looking for the $5k civilian outpost vendor last night between Bessel and Benus and had no luck. Tried an again and finally was able to find one on Bessel in about 20-30 min. Only problem is this vendor’s booth is wide and there’s 5 stools spanning it. Being in the middle won’t reach each end he randomly warps to after each hour reset so I have time get up from sitting every $10-15k or so. Totally fine but wondering if there’s one that’s better.
A TIWIK video, you'll do better than your peers on the channel. But remember, it's not just about your name, you have quality, too, you are worthy. Never forget that, TIWIK video.
I hoping to find out some other things like is the vo for borealis really dawn anderson because her voice sounds amateur and i was hoping it is actually the dj/singer the character is a reference. Also why is the captain storage not unlimited. What was the point of it?
I got a legendary beowolf that does 89 phy and random fire damage with a knock back. It melts literally everything i fight. Teramorphs are like Astas with regular guns 🤷♂️🤣 I have no idea why it hits so hard either. Other guns with better perks or phys dont come close to it. 🤷♂️
If you have chameleon gear on you can steal from shops and etc the moment you go stealth and you won't get caught even if the vendor is right next to you 😂
What do I have to do in order to create my Starfield version of Mass Effect's Normandy ST-2 ?? And then, who are the best characters I'll need in order to realistically code yard? Iow, can I make my pilot call himself "Joker?"
If it's at the start you need to do one or two for him I think, and visit your house, once you make a payment of 500 at the door, the option to either pay off the full amount or forclose on the property opens up.
I like how you use actual good gameplay footage for this man. Alot of people are just about the negatives ya know. There is definitely more positives than negatives in Starfield. 👍🍻
I've just started and it's not what I thought exactly but I watched 1 trailer. It's still fun. Still looks like s lot to do. I kind of hope they build on the world.
Come on guys, you're FudgeMuppet, one of the most respected lore channels on RU-vid. Why are you making so many clickbait title stuff? It seems kind of beneath you. Enough with the "Top 5 Things!"
Vendor's credit being so low is a mistake by the devs. The higher tier weapons [Advance] will be sold for thousands of credits each, players will only be able to sell 1 or 2 weapons before the Vendor runs out of credits. Sure, you can buy stuff from the vendor so they have more credits, but you are just bartering and no gaining more credits.
If find it interesting there are a ton of idiots like you who come to videos like this based on a game you clearly dislike just to post comments. Really kind of sad.
What i wished they'd told me before i started was that exploration, the key to all bethesda games, has esseentially been nerfed by the most boring procedurally generated worlds. It should have had a few hand crafted planets/areas.
Along with what y'all mentioned, it'd be nice if they added in a "radio" to the game. They could get around the travel time of radio waves by making a fetch quest related to finding old earth music and doing it mix tape style like Star Lord. I'd also like to see more old earth items in the game. More weapons, nasa items, and earth/luna locations. I think there could be so much more to do in the Sol system.
It's not even terribly hard to justify radio service in context, and it actually blends well with the way radio content works in these games, just have the local faction set up beacons in systems they control that get updated by courier ships on a regular basis.
i hope we get a bounty hunter DLC, new faction and stories, weponds and all that. i hate how there's EM weapons and theres holding cells in the game but there's no option of taking the targets in alive for extra pay or other benefits. i would like to be able to carry dead bodies to hide them and EM paralized targets back to my ship.
Glad to see another video from my favorite necromage glitch exploiters ;) Another great "hidden" location is the Neuradyne Botany Lab - less for rewards than for the INCREDIBLE environmental storytelling, it is absolutely gorgeous. Another fixed location, check it out!
Perfect name. You inspired to call mine Tears of the Sun..once I get it that is 😂. I’ve been weapon crate farming for a legendary one with extended mags past couple of days. All the legendary ones I’ve gotten don’t have extended and most have exterminator (which I thought was fitting). But I’ve been able to get Rapid, Hitman & Radioactive with extended mags, at least. All amazing sure..but I’m hungry for that legendary 😂
@@High_Key i just went unoriginal and named mine “scorched earth” lol. It’s still really fun whipin out a double barrel shotty just to have it shoot bombs
I wish I knew that you can use scanner to select fast-travel locations to go to. Like land on planet run to a location, unlock, then fire up scanner and fast travel back to ship. Works well in new Atlantis too.
I wish I’d known constellation members can give quests other than just their companion quest. Barrett gave me a short quest called Worlds Apart that was a hoot. 😂
It would be nice and logical to be able to strip the mods off of weapons that you pick up and attach them to other ones they had that in fallout 4 so why'd they get rid of it
Excited to see you guys back and looking forward to your upcoming videos. I took a slight Starfield break recently and coming back... well the honeymoon period is over. 100 put into Starfield and I still love it but... I've got some issues. I'm interested to hear what you guys have to say!
It's actively painless and easy if you grab one or two ranks of Nuerostrikes first... The reason why is hitting knocked out enemies count as sneak crits, even if you are detected. So you can knock someone out, crouch, then spam punches til they die. Most of the time it will take multiple sneak crits to kill on unconscious enemy, so it just makes the requirement for Concealment fly by.
I wish I’d known extensive exploring can bug out the temples. This latest run through I rushed the temples and it went so much smoother. Now I can take my time on everything else. 😃
Honestly, letting the PG handle the temples/artifacts was a mistake; they should have gone the Western Watchtower route: it exists, but isn't a Location until relevant.
I did weapons modding / research as my first playthough as thats who I am, and I know people are missing out by not taking this branch. they think they can get best weapons from loot, but they're nowhere near
100% this. Not to mention the skill tree carries over into NG+ so no point is really wasted, and you might as well unlock something that gives you a major advantage for the duration of your characters play thru. A wise man once said "Boosts like a butterfly stings like a hornets nest weapons mod level 3, The Ecliptics can't hit what the eyes can't see"
'things i wish i knew' type videos make sense for the first month a game is out... but now it seems youtube content creators are stuck in a pattern... instead of real gameplay we get to gamble our time on clickbait...
