Every review "It works great on my RTX 4090"... Well most people don't have 4090. On my 3060 works like complete crap. Recommended 2080 so my 3060 is close to recommended. 34 fps on medium graphics which is unacceptable.

After 30 hours in the game. Its a wait. 1. AMD video cards have issues. 2. the UI is limited to 30fps so it's choppy, its most obvious in space flight. 3. The modding community is just getting started. Most of the mods are re-shaes, tint removal, and you have to download a DLSS Mod because of Bethesda's AMD agreement.

Besides from the space flight being garbage the games fun to play. The space combat literally doesn't feel like your ship is even moving. No man's sky NAILED space flight, Starfield nailed it to a cross.

@@Mohgenstein I have. Planets are empty with barely anything to do, side content is just copy-paste locations and labs, story is trash, dialogue sucks and most characters have no personality. Never mind the game being badly optimized despite looking like a PS4 game. It's boring too. There is also no sense of space exploration as everything is just divided into hubs seperated by loading screens. And the numerous bugs ang glitches of course. How this pile of trash deserves anything over a 5/10 is beyond me. I can't believe it's actually worst than Fallout 4. Fallout 4 at least had some charm to it.

Or... or... Hear me out, take the tin foil hat off, this might blow your mind. People have different preferences. It's crazy how that works, right? Many love cyberpunk and many others hate it. Some people say no man's sky is fantastic now, while others say it's still a boring procedural game. Not every game is meant for you. Reviews are simply the opinion of a single person, that's it. Not everyone's personal opinions or taste will always line up with what you like. There's no check that cleared from microsoft for every single person on planet Earth who likes starfield...

After playing the game for 6 hours now, I’m really questioning this review. I trust your reviews but, this has me questioning….it’s boring, lifeless and mid at best. And I LOVE all Bethesda games. There games are my favorite “ genre” of games. I was absolutely looking forward. From fallout 3 to Skyrim (even f76) I was hooked within the first hour…I’m bored after 6…

Some games are not for everyone, for example I love Rdr2 but there's people out there who hates it, some people loves Cyberpunk and someone hates it. You won't enjoy every good game and that's alright, nothing wrong with it or it could be one of the games you gotta sink a lot of times into to love it,also I think there's gonna be mods and that might make the game better for you

I'm on the fence, I'm looking at buying it but I'm still not sure can you let me know a few things? Is it empty like 76, is there a lot of quests to do? Will I need to get a mod to centre the camera? Does it play like outerworlds? Thank you, I am wanting to play, but I am not sure. Bethesda games are an anomaly for me I usually play crpgs, and bethesda/obsidian games are the only open world rpgs I like. Will I like this if I liked fallout 3/new vegas?

A guy comes to an outpost out of nowhere and the woman shows no surprise, no emotion and offers everything for him to use and is glad he stopped by.....wtf. @@NotCharAznable Nope, same standards, I hated Fallout 76, wasn't big on Fallout 4, but this Starfield is without a doubt the most fun I have had in a Bethesda rpg since Oblivion and Skyrim imo. But by all means stay mad at someones personal opinion, its quite funny how me enjoying a game bothers you. I have been playing these rpgs since Elderscrolls Arena and havn't enjoyed a Bethesda game since Skyrim so I am stoked Bethesda is back to making good games again after the trash that was Fallout 76.

I had my suspicions about this reviewer since his Hellblade 1 review, Line up the shapes puzzles over and over, boring combat (literally 1 enemy type) that's not satisfying and barely works, but about mental health, so it's a great game...Now paid review for "SlopField". I'm not buying a AAA game with mixed on Steam, where I have force feed 100hrs to make it fun for me... I value my time.

Its much more of an rpg when compared to fallout. Bethesda really never went down the self discovery route as a main quest, it was always find your son or save the world. I cant lie just give it a try when it comes on game pass it feels like fallout but is much better in terms of an rpg.

I really like ACG videos but i have to say he definitely seems to intentionally go easy on certain games. He picks the most innocent criticisms so it feels like a balanced review. There are some pretty jarring realities about this game that make no sense to completely skip over. Things that most everyone will be expecting due to marketing. If anyone NEEDS a review before buying this game and doesnt simply want to affirm their purchase, go elsewhere.

"One field where Starfield hit the mark was performance" is super misleading. Of course it will run smoothly if you have literally the best GPU on the market but a lot of people have to play this game on low/medium to get even close to 30 fps in New Atlantis (for example). The AMD deal for FSR was a horrible choice but I guess the bag was big. This game desperately needs DLSS (yes I know 3rd party mods already exist) and some drastic performance patches.

I disagree with this one sadly, haven't touched the game since release, until Bethesda fixes major issues many people point out there's no way I'm going to waste my time on it. I'm glad I got premium version with new amd gpu, because I really can't imagine the disappointment of many people after really paying for this half finished product with their hard earned money 🙄.

I found a free ship just parked on a planet. Nobody around it, just chilling. Hacked the door open, got into the cockpit and it was mine! A huge upgrade compared to my starter ship, it even has parts that require Spaceship Engineering perks I don’t even have haha! Well let's see what Starfield improves on compared to other space/big ship flight games apart from the standard Bethesda gameplay: ❌ Choices & consequences in an RPG (Mass Effect) ❌ Interaction with intelligent alien races (Mass Effect) ❌ Seamless landing on planets (No Man's Sky) ❌ Land vehicles for exploration (Star Citizen) ❌ Seamless docking in space (X3/X4) ❌ Seamless moving between planets in a simulates star system (Outer Wilds) ❌ Getting out out of your ship and wandering in space (Prey 2017) ❌ Simulated economy (Elite Dangerous) ❌ Manually landing your ship to get a sense of weight of what you've built (Highfleet) ...But hey, dogfights! Thanks to Beth for the code. Even though I said Redfall was the worst game of 2023 lol Beth had a lot of story restrictions and coverage stuff so I had to jump around a bit. One or two cuts might be abrupt as I felt something too spoilery was in the video A liked it a lot I wish it was more seamless and there are a couple issues! But overall, it was a blast and I am still playing it which is rare for me and joined Baldurs Gate 3 as a title that I have still been in well after being done. Even gta doesn't have the entire planet covered.... I honestly dont know if video games can do that, possibly random procedural help with AI and online connection.... For a 4k game with most settings high? I can't say I agree much. While I would WANT extra and higher of course. That doesn't jive sadly with almost any current titles. Though if we compare titles then we have to compare content and engines, and at that point...well. Then we would just start arbitrarily assigning a ceiling ABOVE 60. 90? 120? its a very hard line to draw and what games to compare. And NOW or on the day those games released. @@scatz4569

It's utilisation is also terrible, in some cases not big gains you'd expect when changing resolutions but not actually taxing the CPU. Bethesda games have run pretty trash on release for at least a decade. FO4 downtown for example, still runs poorly today. Anyway we can agree to disagree but as a high end GPU owner who expects to run all settings maxed for a year or two after GPU releases this bites.

Your worst review so far. Starfield is garbadge, and lazy copy pasted game. All they did was make 4 unique cities (Akila is even cliche) and copy paste everything else. You explore an anondoned mining outpost once and after that it will always be same exact POI in every planet that looks the same. No mans sky has fun and diverse exploration, starfield exploratipn is so boring. The loading screens are atrocious, in Neon just to go from ppint A to point B ypu go through 7 loading screens in the span of a minute. Majority of quests are underwelming, ex Red Mile. And the quickly devolve into fetching quests. Tge dialogue is so artificial and monotome,, again it's boring. It makes your character look like it's giving job interviews to every NPC you meet. Funny how I can roleplay as V in Cyberpunk because the game is immersive, the story and dialogue is beliavable and natural, you can talk to characters while they pace arpund and move ypu can even go away mid conversasion, all of it lets you keep engadged and immersed in the world and it's characters. But starfield gives me a custom character eithout voice, in theory shoild be great for role play, but theres no soul, no depth, just souless game with procedural automatic animation that force you to look at npc souless eyes and face while they ramble how they love their job... Seriusly only good thing I can say about starfield is that I liked the gunplay, that's it.

You've pointed out a lot of criticisms that I happen to agree with, though perhaps in less elegant terms than I would've liked. I do think your praise of NMS is unfounded. IMHO, its procedurally generated content is even more soulless than Starfield's. NMS does have those absolutely beautiful landing/takeoff transitions though, I'll give them that. Much better than Starfield's constant loading screens.

Honestly, I'd say never touch. Don't waste your time. This game isn't aggressively bad. It's just aggressively mediocre in every way. The combat is average, the diologue is bland and soulless, the player choice is merely a very thin illusion, the universe is empty, bland, boring and repetitive, the main story is merely okay, the side quests are repetitive and meaningless, the loot is generic and boring. The exploration is pointless because there's nothing to find, and you hit loading screens way too often. The ship building is the only part of this game I'd say is "good" or "cool" or "interesting."" And even then, you just use your cool ship to do fairly bland and repetitive space battles and a bunch of fast travel loading screens. None of it is outstandingly bad. It's not like the Kong game, that is just actively sh*tty and terrible, but with so many better options to invest your time and money into, there's simply no reason to waste them on this aggressively mediocre game.

The combat hardly looks a day newer than Fallout 4, which was considered middling at best in 2015. Same components - hitscan weapons, NPCs too busy with cover animations to be reactive, weapon bashing that does almost nothing, hovering around a room taking chip damage and stimpaking, people walking through walls. I mean, it's good enough for me I guess, but let's be real here.

I bought the game largely because of this review. And I got to say, I was HUGELY disappointed. Probably my biggest game disappointment of the year. Frankly, so much of what ACG described was not what the game turned out to be. There is much criticism for this game. After 30 hours of gameplay, I agree with ALL of it. Such a hollow world with no real life to it. I wish I could get my money back.

@dudimis I agree with you. Everyone was on this games noots and I can't see why with how bad the negatives are. This studio has been making the same game now over and over. He was not impressed enough by Alan Wake 2 on his review but this is a must buy... We all have different opinions but it seems like when somone likes something enough, they overlook the faults and this seems to be the case here. I purchased this game based off his review and I do reget it.
