This is great! Really feels like a little outpost you’d stumble upon in the open world. I really like the dividers in the large hab, those shelves on the cabinet actually look good. And the little plushie work station is great lol. Great job! 👏👍
Woaw this is what starfield needs, outpost like this scattered around with a story too go with it.... This makes it so much more believable that people have actually "settled the systems" The game really needs this kind of life and soul. Great job this is truly inspiring
The first few "civilian outposts" I ran into when exploring were kind of underwhelming, so I stopped trekking over to them for a while. Recently though I ran into a couple that were really cool, so it seems there are some good ones out there after all. Definitely hoping we'll see some more variety and stories from them in future updates though
I always play the first playthough of any game vanilla, but definitely looking forward to getting to my modded playthrough and having some new things to build with
Making outposts for research or as an interstellar rest-stop is fun. It's building the storage depots and mining outposts that's the challenge for me at the moment.
Thanks for watching! It took me a while to get into outpost building at first because it can be hard to know where to start with it, glad you're feeling inspired for your own builds too!
Yes you can! The creature problem has a few possible options, you can break the hab to make them go away, or choose an unobtrusive roommate, I have bit about it in this video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uXMEeu21l8w.html
I really was not a fan of outpost building. I loved the settlements and how much i could do and the settlers make it feel lived in. It just felt so shallow and without purpose in starfield. Seeing what you make had blown my mind with the level of creativity and made me realize theres a lot more i could do with it. Despite that though, i just wish you could have settlers here like fallout 4.
I felt the same way at first too. I really enjoyed settlement building in FO4, so was determined to make outposts in Starfield work as best I could You can add some NPCs to outposts which makes them feel more alive, but I would love to see them expanded to give us the option to turn them into colonies that operate similar to FO4's settlements
@MissOPlays I just wish there was a way to populate it without using ship mates, just recruit travelers or settlers and assign them jobs. I really hope they flesh out the system through updates and DLC. It's what keeps me going back to fallout 4.
if you save and quit, then load back in before you fast travel anywhere after placing things, that usually stops things from sinking and generally acting weird
There are a bunch of really cool outpost mods that give you a bunch more of buildings and decoration all kinds of different things. I’d love to see what you do with them. That might be a good direction to go. I love your videos and have used a lot of your ideas, thank you
I always like to run my first playthrough and base builds vanilla to see how much you can do with the game assets, but definitely looking forward to seeing what mods are out there once the creation kits drops. Especially hoping from something like Unlocked Settlement Objects for FO4 that would open up a lot of the things we see at the various POI but can't yet build ourselves
I haven’t done that much with the outpost system or the ship building system but all these videos of people with there outposts and ships is making me want to start doing it to
I still haven't played around with the ship building system much, just edited a few ships that I've had "given" to me by some of the spacer crews I've run into on my travels. seeing some of the things people have been able to build with it makes me want to give it a proper go sometime though
So many clever details and decoration ideas... makes it feel like there are so many unexplored options for outpost builds. I can only imagine what you will be able to do once there are more expansive kits and hopefully more module and decoration options in the future! Beautiful, creative stuff!
I'm really looking forward to future outpost expansions. You can do a lot with them now, but it would be nice to have more assets to work with, and maybe more functionality in terms of settlers
@@MissOPlays Were/are you a Fallout settlement builder too? You mentioning the rug glitch made me think perhaps you may have been… good to have all the Bethesda glitch tricks up your sleeves, eh?
@@richardbenson389 Still am a Fallout settlement/CAMP builder! They seem to have removed, or lessened the power of most the old glitches, but I'm still experimenting to find as many new ones as I can
i looooove your creativity in using items and resources to create environments around a theme - the farm shop, soooo smart! my friend willibie workshop - brilliant!!!! I always use the shelving units to create room dividers as well, i really like the large glass display ones as they do not obstruct some of the views in the glass habs- but have not tried placing them on top of a counter - very slick. The only place I have been able to use the tall white shelving units is in the Alkia Core manor - but the layout of that player home is really odd, every time I start to try and develop something there i get annoyed LOL THOSE polymer creatures are the gremlins of starfield - OH MY WORD, they basically took over my out post they would spawn every WHERE!!! I ended up abandoning the outpost to them LOL How are you able to build the armillary at an outpost without going into unity. When ever I build it at an outpost - the next grave jump takes me to the unity? Also is there a way to keep the creatures in the actual building? whenever I build a husbandry building they always spawn outside the building. Just wanted to drop a comment to let you know I really enjoy seeing what you come up with and the story behind the build - building in starfield is a labor of love for sure - it is very time consuming and can be incredibly frustrating using the in-game housing editor with all of the bugs that I have encountered, i have had to restart builds so many times because of the crashes in the editor abdoning
Thank you! and you nailed it with the "Gremlins of the Starfield" no matter what name they might have, or planet they're on, they will absolutely wreck your world. The "domesticated" ones at this outpost will even join their feral brethren in attacking my stuff when they come around. As cute as they may be, they are relentless!
So far, yes! the landing point might be replaced eventually if I land in enough new places on the same planet, but so far it's been significantly more reliable than my landing pads at other outposts. I'll do some testing and see if going back to it frequently prevents it being deleted and let you know what I find
This is what I’m really interested in because I think both landing pads are too high. What tips do you have for keeping the landing spot after you’ve started building (apart from not making more landing sites on the planet)?
