The new update 1.11.33 for Starfield is currently in beta right now and brings some really welcoming additions for outposts and more. Things like 3D satellite view maps showing points of interest are added, interior ship customization as well as new outpost items and more. This is just a short video showcasing the new items but I've been having some fun messing around with the interior ship decorating especially in the Starborn ship, so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!

I have my first proper outpost build up & running now. About 20 habs, some with interior decoration. The amount of furniture to choose from is already overwhelming, but you know it's only going to grow....

They gave us numbers and letters, which few people will ever use, but still didn't give us showers and shower stalls that already exist in the game.

Thanks! I should have the Starborn ship finished decorated hopefully by tomorrow so the video will be out soon after. I’m happy they added this, it’ll make building ships more appealing too now that I have some control on how the inside looks.

@@MillsBuilds Awesome! Can't wait to see it! And I completely agree. I think my main ship looks amazing on the outside, but the inside is a mess. Can't wait to be able to move the chair that annoyingly clips through one of my doors lol

Unfortunately it works a little different than that. You can’t delete the already existing furniture in the habs, there’s now options to build empty hab attachments on your ship. It will say “Captains living quarters empty” you can place furniture or whatever in any hab though.

@@MillsBuilds I was afraid of that. Guess I'll just have to decorate that Hab from scratch. Not a huge deal, but I wish we could completely overhaul existing Habs. Guess it's better than nothing.

But you could have done that for a long long time with mods. Assuming you're playing on PC I guess.

thank you for giving a preview of the new items !! I was really hoping that someone would show case them. Glad they gave us new art work - i can tell you the number of times I have been some where and saw a piece of art work that I wanted in my hab . Cant wait to see what you do with the ship hab customizations. While they have no given us the ability to choose where door and stairways appear - at least we have the ability to not loose key elements of hab with customization

I've been wanting that for a while, for now I'm just forcing myself to believe that backpack stand #3 is a showerhead, no matter how much it pains me lol. They have shower poles and whole shower units in the game though so here's to hoping we get it in an update soon.

There's bigger things to prioritise than making a small team from the main big team (that's making new features and an expansion) just to make a team for decorations.

@@Cibbic You realize a modeler and texture artist don't have jackshit to do with the programming side of things. Having a additional small team with a handful of people just working on new assets for one of the large systems of the game isn't gonna bankrupt Bethesda of eat up development time.

I would really like some better interior lighting options, like the ones in Fallout 4, for instance. The outpost habs are mostly either way too bright or way to dark.

Yeah that would be great, the lighting at outposts are very inconsistent.

agree 1000% it is really annoying - even trying to use the lamps they give us to highlight items just has waaay too much bloom. there are some really nice lamps in game - even wall scones that could be used, no sure why it is not an option. The lighting in the dream house and New atlantis is much better then the habs

With ship decoration, the game will eventually dive into ship and space in general, exploration even more. At least, I hope so.

This is a uniquely Bethesda level kind of immersion. Actually, i've got a ship with a step ladder doing the same. I just boot it all the way to the bottom & problem solved.

Some of the paintings you might recognize like a couple of the framed ones were already in the game they just weren’t framed before, and a couple of the wider photos were already in the game they were just smaller so there’s different sizes and more options now. The chairs are all new though, in one of my earlier videos I do a showcase of decorations and I’ve decorated like 20+ outposts and made it a point to try to use every item in game. So I was kinda just going off memory but I’m almost certain all those chairs are new.

They’re all new. You just might be familiar with some because we’ve had some already just without the silver frame. And the ones with the frame are also in locations throughout the universe. I’m pretty sure for the new framed ones a couple of them are on the walls in the lodge.

No showers. You could try the trick from my hidden lair outpost video. I just put down a floor mat and a metal shelf backwards to resemble a shower sort of lol. That’s the best I got currently.

I'm a little surprised that they're putting energy into adding decoration stuff, but it's nice. lol at adding one carpet though. Carpets can't be hard, so why not bang out 5 carpets? lol I AM glad to see them get the message about decorating ships. Duh. We can build all these cool ships, but couldn't decorate them without mods?! lol oh Beth

lol I know, there’s already more models of rugs in the game that aren’t able to be used in outposts. Same for different color variations of couches that would have been nice along with all of this. And I know the Starborn ship is just asking to be decorated it was always so empty. I’m sure it was planned from the beginning but was cut due to timing. Oh well here’s to hoping to see more stuff like this with outposts in future updates.

I'm pretty sure they did the same thing for FO4 too. Not long after release a free patch added in a some new decoration items. I'm certainly not complaining lol.

@@MillsBuilds A modder found unreleased Starborn furniture in the game files that were intended to be put into the Guardian ships so he put out a mod furnishing them with those items. They look great and I hope they come soon cause the current furniture just doesn't quite look right in them in my opinion
