I started playing about 3 weeks ago and the only mode where I had problem to find a lobby was starfighter heroes and villains. Game is still pretty alive.
YES FINALLY, mad respect to you for clearing the static turrets out to ease things up for your team. the number of times i've gone into these things and it just turns into PvP focus only matches drives me nuts.
LOL yes the newer players dont realise there is actually an objective to complete. And they dont know destroying turrets give very high battle points to get your hero ships faster.
@@daltonyoung7146 you are right. But you'll realize there is a difference between 'support' and 'distraction'. Veterans will support you. Be your wingman and keep bogies off your back, and help you with objectives. Rookies will be in their own world trying to pvp BUT that also keeps the enemy eyes off you. Both are useful however pvp players tend to get shot down and reduce your body count quickly so the objective is left up to you.
Elite dangerous is pretty good, results in a lot of looping but has this flight assist off feature which normally thrusters compensate to help your ship change and go in the direction your going/turning but with flight assist off it disables the compensation. So if you input lateral thrust and want to stop you would need to input lateral thrust in the opposite direction. This results in much finer controls but if you don't know what your doing you'll start tumbling around in space in you turn assist back on.
@@ryanmaris1917 I love the flight in elite dangerous, they did it right. Everything else they managed to do wrong though. Was sad to watch the devs fail at every single point.
Wish they focus more on Clone Wars, the sheer size and conflicts during that Galaxy Spanning War is horrifying especially the Mid and Outer Rim Sieges. With two gigantic Armies and Navies with equal proportions slugging it out in every Planets and Sectors. God how i wish EA didn't touch this game because of money grabs. 😑
They also have Kamino in-game. But u are right there could have been more if they kept developing it. I wish there was a Scarif map (Rogue One), the first Death Star map, Exegol map (Rise of Skywalker) among others. EA destroyed this game.
@@TheRealFarhando but literally, in the movies, when the tie fighters hit the falcon, almost nothing happens to it. It usually smokes for a second and then goes away. It can survive extremely bad crash landings.
Dont worry the og battlefront 2 is coming out in march for all modern consoles. It had great offline modes and good offline singleplayer flight levels.
@@xmodagr8565 we cannot choose the maps or faction. The game will assign us the map. But for every map we get to play both factions (attack and defend). The maps will cycle in this order --- 2x Empire/Rebel (Fondor, Endor), 2x Separatist/Republic (Kamino, Ryloth), 2x First Order/Resistance (Unknown Regions/D'Qar)
LOL using the Falcon like a space fighter. It's got 360 degree turrets. Why does it need to TURN to face it's target? It should just cruise on by while the turrets blast the targets. It should be more like commanding an old school naval vessel in World of Warships than flying a space fighter. While I can admit the graphics look good the gameplay is a joke and doesn't give me that Star Wars feel. It's more like a hollow attempt by a corpo to just put a Star Wars paint job on a bare bones space fighter sim.
@@TheRealFarhando LOL like they would even listen. I doubt they even listen to their own "creative" staff and are even less likely to take comments from random customers. The executives at these big companies ironically don't care much about quality even though quality can directly effect sales. They are more focused on cutting cost and meeting deadlines. I had a professor in college that worked on the Superman game which was horrible. He told us how the higher ups bought the rights to a new engine and they demanded all studios switch to this new engine immediately. But a lot of their code didn't transition so they pretty much had to start from near scratch with 6 months to release and barely got a working product done by deadline with no time to actually make content. All because some higher up want to switch to a cheaper engine and didn't care about how it effected their products completion. Sadly anything remotely good that comes out of AAA studios these days is despite the efforts of upper management, not the result of it.
Damn. WTF is this game... where is all the speed gone? Space battles are supposed to be fast, full of quick actions, tense moments. Not camping in front a turbolazer turret until you put 100 shots in to blow it up. This game has completely misunderstood what it should be. It's quite beautyful but that's the only good thing.
