i remember watching this video in 5th grade (10 years ago) when i had only seen sg1, i finally watched sgu 4 years ago and honestly what a show. Such a nostalgic video and great song. I've had this song on my playlist since then too
I'm a huge Stargate fan and I didn't mind Universe. The actors were good, the idea was good, and the special effects were fantastic. I think Universe fell flat for two reasons. First, there was no clear and definite "other" enemy like the Go'auld or Wraith and second, this show was trying too hard to be another Battlestar Galactica.

It couldn't have a series long antagonist. Destiny was traveling across the universe, through different galaxies, so having the same species to fight the whole way, would have felt really weird, star trek voyager had the same issue because of the similar set up. And not only that but, this wasn't meant to be like SG1 and atlantis. They were space exploration shows, this was a space survival series ultimately, and I think that was to jarring for long time fans. Also it was way darker and adult than the previous two series.
They needed to play up human alliance that was aganist earth. They should have taken some advice from real life make them like Russia and China being resentful of earth growing power and possibly make stargate project public it would be more like Star Trek or battlestar. I like how you toned down the amount of battle sequences in this video compared to some of your other ones, it really sets the focus of the video not on the fighting element of SGU, but on the crew and their struggle for survival on the edge of the universe :) Well done
Anyone else notice how the power supply for the Stargate is different on each series? Sg1 had naq, Atlantis zpms, and destiny had solar. Atlantis tech was supposed to be the highest tech in ancient society until their ascension but it's never touched on if they ever got their tech from ascended beings they met previously in destiny's final destination. What if destiny could time travel like the Lucian alliance believed and the ancients already made it to meet an older ascended being or beings?
i feel like when i got on Destiny i never left on that ship you can leave the entire world behind and run away from your problems faster then the speed of light
