Fortnite really hates controller players

I'm not a controller player, but honestly aim assist isn't an issue man! No one is going around and complaining about being beamed by controller players. If they are then they are just tilted. I genuinely believe this was a mistake by epic.

At this point I'm about to commit 3 months of work to learn Keyboard and Mouse 😭

The "Smart" in the devs last name DOES NOT fit them at all. Idk why they keep nerfing controller . In my opinion the only nerf that was actually justified was the original nerf in chapter 2 season 3. All the ones after that was just overkill in my opinion.

Stark rifle is now worse then the normal ar. The normal AR is good for long range, close range, spraying and it has good damage. But the updated stark rifle is ONLY good at close range. Updated version is a 5/10 weapon .

I now have no choice but to buy a zen for my controller

Epic is a developer of Unreal Engine 5, one of the most popular engines for new games. And it is really hardware demanding. At this point I think Epic is just trying to force players to switch to PC and buy newer GPUs and CPUs. They're probably in cahoots with Nvidia😂

I just give up on Fortnite at this point bc I play on controller and console so I get like 40 fps and now I can’t even aim this is getting out of hand😢

Pretty sure somewhere I read the aim assist nerf was to help detect cheating algorithms easier first since it's so out of control, low estimates at 5% of players cheating in some small unnoticeable way but some put it between 10-12%, don't seem much but imagine that out of 100 players, and then work from there, it will 100% be buffed at some point.

Bullet travel time really is a disadvantage for controller players. Since aim assist slows down the most on top of the opponent, it doesn't work well when you have to shot in front of him, because it won't slow down as much.

i’ve been playing Fortnite on controller for the last almost 7 years. And I will say that Fortnite is acting like we’re back in 2020 when you had aim bot with a controller. I completely agree with you in the fact that they needed to buff aim assist if anything.

Ive played Fortnite on PC (with controller), Xbox and Switch. There is barely any aim assist for controllers on PC. (controller players dont even stand a chance) Now aim assist on Xbox and Switch feel just like aim assist on PC. might as well not even have it. PC players can literally designate ANY action to ANY key but they think its unfair that controller players need aim assist?

Aim assist is not even close to as strong as it was in early C2, and it hasn't been for a long time, yet they have this idea that aim assist is no different than cheating - which shows a clear lack of knowledge on aim assist in general and an even more clear ignorance to how aim assist has been in this game in particular. There's a reason why literally all the top players in the world are on KBM and not controller. If controller was this dominant input that was the equivalent to legal cheating, literally every pro would be using it because of its superiority. That, however, is not remotely close to the truth. The same happened on Black Ops 6, an aim assist nerf, due to PC m&k noobs crybabies who complain about everything. They have triple FPS with overall better perfomances, a hand, an arm, an entire desk etc, while a controller player only has a little thumbstick with a limited rotation curve. Not to mention about stick drift and deadzone. Aim assist is needed on controller for obvious reasons. Remember: if a m&k player lose to a controller player, the m&k player has a problem with his in game skills. Wish there was #ConsoleOnlyCrossplay for every game. Input based matchmaking isn’t the solution because of PC performances over console ones (30/60/120vs+240/+360FPS), and furthermore, cheating will be always a problem (in general). PC players on fortnite can even disable the grass (and shadows) so they can see us console players in a better way because we have this grass at the edge of hills. Ps. I’m a 3.27k/d player, so mine isn’t a “SKiiLL iSSuE!!1!”

Jibsmart sounds kinda dumb tbh. Take out what’s unfair? So they nerf aim assist. Meanwhile KBM got double binds, scroll reset, mouse aim, custom cross hairs, joystick option for wasd, mouse button binds, usually always on 240 fps or higher. No reason to play anymore

Bro aim assist is only good when you playing on good graphics. A lot of people I feel play on weak consoles like PS4 or Nintendo switch. And so aim assist ain't sh. It is why still a lot of people rely on scuff controllers, thumb grips, Cronus, and other extra extra aim assist softwares. So it's not only aim assist is also graphics, that players rely on. If not the game is almost unplayable. They need PC players separate maybe with PS5 players,. separate from inferior console players too. When I used to play on PS4 and TV. I used to get from 0-5 kills struggling. When I jump to PS5 and monitor. Now I get 8+ 15 kills without even trying.

controller players having any aim assist at all imo is bad, becuase the mouse moves in every direction js like a controller stick, all controller players do is jump in my box and have no actual skill in building and fighting when its been proven you can still be a good builder on controller, and i cant utilize my skills if the other player just jumps in my box, so buffing aim assist would make them do that even more and its just annonying, right after a fight they just jump in and just run at me to 50 50

i foght bullet drop was from the scop so i only ran the 4x scop on my sniper i don't think any of my other gun's had scop's edit wait i HAd aim assist i foght i just had decent aim now my "aim's" gona be even worse :(

I use gyro aiming on both Nintendo Switch and on PC with a Dualsense controller. I never really had aim assist anyway because of gyro lol. Yes, my aim is still as stable as a goth girl’s self esteem

Bullet drop is better here’s why. Before using a scar or ar the bullet patterns have been so bad with how much bloom they have that there was no way to make it balanced. They tried to fix it by adding things like the mk and red eye and aug but they were broken and made it hard to rotate in end game. So bullet drop doesn’t have the major bloom like earlier while still being better then recoil patterns. Reicehub made a short like this that better explains it.

I mean I play Fortnite on PC on controller not just on my Switch, Xbox Series S, and PS5 so I'm kind of immune to lack of aim assist which makes me able to hit most my shots without it. But it still kinda sucks for those who aim assist helps a lot though.

Idk if this is true, but I've heard keyboard and mouse players can literally just click on people to shoot them (I wanted to try it myself, but my laptop can barely even handle the game), so I have no idea what that fool's on to think actually aiming is easier than dragging a cursor across the screen over to a person.
