Do either the smaller IIC and CIC styles offer push button or manual volume controls? Do either of the smaller IIC or CIC styles offer binaural connection to improve directionality?
@@Harry-Zhang Yes, the CIC has the option of a push button for manual volume or program changes. Our Genesis CIC and IIC are both non-wireless in order to get the smallest custom build possible, so there is not ear-to-ear connection.

As a person who has been wearing hearing aids for more than twenty years I'd like to share the frustration that occurs when I realize that I can no remember how loud something like a stream "should" be. I get that I can make that stream sound as loud as I choose by turning up the volume on my hearing aids, but I just can't remember what a stream used to sound like back when my hearing was normal and I was fly fishing at that stream. Just my two cents worth. I'm looking forward to getting a set of the Genesis hearing aids as soon as they are under contract at the VA, which I'm told will be in May. Thanks for another informative video.

Please comment on blue tooth connectivity with the iphone. A trial you tube user has demonstrated glitches. This seems inconsistent with all of its amazing state of the art features. Would appreciate your comments on the dependability of the bluetooth connection with iphone.
Update - I noticed that my question above was the only one that had no reply. I reached out to Starkey customer service and within a day they responded to me personally with a detailed explanation of connectivity and its related parts. Their representative did an outstanding job! I had only heard positive things about Starkey's customer service and my experience lived up to their excellent reputation! Thankyou Starkey!!!

I have had the evolve AI IIC hearing aids but didn't like the sound quality. I'm assuming its because IIC is just an unnatural sound quality, but never tried this brand's RIC's but possibly might want to try the genesis model as these seem absolutely amazing.. Are these RIC’s better than the IIC’s? I now have the Phonak Audeo lumity.. Are these better than those hearing aids? Also is there a music setting as well? How do these two hearing aids compare?
Hi, Kayla! Thank you so much for the comment! There are many factors that go into a hearing aid fitting. A successful IIC fitting really starts with the ear impression process. If the mold is not deep enough, this can adversely affect the overall sound quality and you may experience what we call the "occlusion effect." With a RIC fitting, the ear canal is open and provides a "natural" sound quality. There are instances where there is a custom component with a RIC fitting. We believe that our technology in the hands of the hearing professional yields the best patient outcomes. They will be able to conduct best practice measures, like real ear measurement, speech in noise testing, etc. to ensure the technology you are fit with is suitable for your type and degree of hearing loss, social activity level, etc. We would suggest reviewing these questions with your hearing care provider to select the best possible solution for your new hearing journey. @@starkeyhearingaids thanks so much for answering! :) I was just curious about how the 2 features and fitting software components of the hearing aid compare. Im debating on trying these out if they are better sound quality overall in the hearing aid itself but yes my audiologist is amazing and has been doing the measurements and stuff.. I also wanted to know which has a better frequency dynamic range fitting compared to the phonak lumity.. I know that the db range is higher but i was told that the lumity has a wider frequency db range than many other hearing aid devices but wasn’t sure if the genisis also has a wider frequency dynamic range as well

I am trying out the Starkey Genesis AI 24. These are great with the exception of the bluetooth. I have a Phonak in ear and they are not so great but the bluetooth is far superior than the Genesis. Why can Starkey make a hearing aid that in my opinion is great but the bluetooth is not?
