Firecracker doesn't deserve forgiveness at this point. What Annie did to her when they were teens was traumatising, and it would justify her being bitter at Annie and not wanting anything to do with her for life, but it can't excuse the fact that Firecracker has become exactly what teenage!Annie accused her of being and many worse things.

There’s a lot of interesting stuff you could do with light manipulation (inflicting blindness, constant visibility disruption, distracting and misdirecting attention, controlling existing light sources to help with stealth) but they never let her use her powers in a cool way 😭
Something tells me Firecracker will probably die at the end of the season, and that loosing of something he cherished and thought to finally had back being taken from him so fast will finally cause Homelander to snap.
Even if Starlight hadn't injected Firecracker that thing I doubt Firecracker would've forgiven her. I mean sure, she felt relived Starlight genuinely apologized even after destroying her reputation but she could've said something like "thank you, for apologizing. I actually feel bad for firecracker..........she was bullied by SL as a kid and she could very well be justified in beating up SL right now.....and yet, the tears in her eyes suggest that she was willing to forgive SL.
I wonder what would have happened if she had waited before stabbing her, at this point Firecracker must have some fear and doubts about homelander and discomfort with Sage, she might have been possible to coerce into switching sides, or at the very least opposing Sage, but after stabbing her like that, there's a good chance Firecracker is not going to ever forgive her now.
You realize there were only two outcomes here: either starlight sleeping fire cracker or fire cracker causes some ruckus which will make homelander join and eventually killing starlight. There's no way firecracker would have let starlight go unless she is in love with her or something then maybe she would do that if starlight didn't put her to sleep and that's a very big WHAT IF otherwise starlight had no way out safely.
