One of the greatest lyricists to ever do it, & IMO one of the best as a rapper(flow, content, lyrics,etc.) & song/album releases over the past 7 years. For me he’s most likely my favorite rapper since 2011. His wordplay is unmatched by anyone & everyone in hip hop who has come out of the past 10-15 years. Very few from that time frame of years, for me personally, are lyrically inclined to put forth such masterful & compelling material like Lito as a solo artist & especially when partnered with another artist who brings the same greatness as does he. Don Trip is fucking amazing too & them together as the Stepbrothers is a match made in heaven! The material they have put forth over the past 7 years(I discovered SB in 2011, & the rest was history) have been classic after classic. Can listen straight through never skipping because they don’t have bullshit filler songs on anything released. Criminally & insanely mind blowing underrated in every way doesn’t do any justice to how slept on these two are. It’s fucking baffling to say the least from hip hop head like myself. To see these mumble crap ass insecure face tatt wearing rappers get all the shine speaks volumes of the younger generations lack of respect & knowledge of the greatness that came before the year 2000. I say this because there’s a ton of AMAZING rappers out today who get no airplay & who don’t sell like I wish they would. KRIT, Apathy, Blacastan, Dom Kennedy & his AMAZING Half-A-Mil group with Hit-Boy(can’t stress enough how awesome these two are as a group & as solo artists), Freddie Gibbs, KXNG Crooked, Nesby Phips, Diego Redd, YP aka Backwood Jones, One Be Lo, Darnell Williams, Black Milk, Oswin Benjamin, Oddisee, & much much more.
