Remember people, you can be superman in life. Even the smallest rights can make you a hero. Help the homeless, speak out against bullies, report DV, any and all small actions make you a hero
In an era that’s focused on anti-heroes and villains, it’s so refreshing to be reminded that someone like Superman is simply a really good dude that just wants to do the right thing and save others. It’s really inspiring!

Remember if superman was a normal guy with no powers, hed be the most helpful and kindest person you’d meet, be your own hero, inspire others and hopefully be a hero to others
And the fact he's a being close to a god, he always deny that notion. For someone who carry planets, stop hurricanes, and defeat beings similar of his caliber, he still chose to love and suffer with humanity.
Clark Kent is proof that Ma and Pa Kent are the best parents in fiction. Small town farmers raised one of the most kindhearted and helpful people of all time, the fact he has godlike powers is second to his heart.
"superman solos fiction" mfs after realizing the super isn't because of his powers, but because of his unending and unconditional love for humanity and earth as a whole:
I think one of the most interesting points about Superman I’ve heard was during a conversation about superheroes with some of my friends, where someone brought up that Superman stories are less about how he’ll beat the villain, and more about how he’ll save everybody from them. Somehow I feel that angle hasn’t been quite as heavily explored with other heroes quite as much.
They dont explore that in movies at all .like omni man vs invincible fight was omni man trynna kill ppl while mark trynna save as much as he can . Now look at superman vs zod in mos .complete faliure on character
@@mihacimpric745 Well I said "was" because there have been other good hero since then. I admit with different stories and mentality but nonetheless, heroes.
Normalize spreading kindness and joy for no rhyme or reason, simply to make people smile and inspire others to do the same. Whether it's sitting with a homeless man and hearing his story, or helping a preoccupied mother set up a car seat while she cares for her child. A simple act can improve anyone's day if you're willing to take that opportunity :D
@@wardonx887because then you wouldn’t be Superman. You would have the same mindset evil variants like Omni-Man would have “who cares about humanity? The universe is way bigger so I’ll just be edgy and pessimistic”

Superman and Spider-Man are the true faces of superhero’s, they are both examples of hero’s who even through the hardest times can still be good, even when some writers try to write them bad.
I've gone full circle... being a kid who likes seeing the flashy good guys win, like spiderman and captain america, then becoming an edgy teen who likes the villains like joker and loki because "evil and against society", leaving that phase and relating more to the grounded and flawed anti heros like deadpool and the punisher, now becoming an adult and realizing all along that the good guys like superman are the real example and what I should strive to be, to me they are one of the few fountains of determination in a world that dries itself more each and every day.
One of things I love about Matt Reeves' batman is how at the beginning he's vengeance, and by the end he says he is hope. Best film adaptation of Batman.
"I'm going to work hard to make sure everyone feels the pain I went through" villain mindset vs "I'm going to work hard to make sure no one has to feel the pain I went through" hero mindset Stay strong, Supermen.
What I love about heroes in general, is that they hold similar values. Can it get stale? Yeah, which is precisely why in the 80s and 90s we got characters like Punisher, Wolverine, Deadpool and even the Authority and stories like Watchmen. And I love grey characters as much as the next guy (again, I love Deadpool and Wolverine they're two of my favourite comic characters). But, even Batman holds those same values. In fact, exactly how you described the hero mindset. People seem to forget that and just see a grounded badass with gadgets and while I prefer Batman for those reasons, I love his humanity and compassion (when it's acknowledged like in Justice League Unlimited or the majority of the DCAU actually). One thing I heard about Clark and Bruce's friendship is that they are friends who bonded over their mutual love of saving people (Implicitly Pretentious by the way) and I think that's just wonderful. Wonder Woman is part of that, too. Captain America, Spider-Man, the list goes on. And I hope with the new DCU we get these hopeful superheroes again. I can see why The Boys is popular and I love Invincible and (again) Watchmen, but people take the wrong things from them in my opinion. So, again, I'd love if the DCU took that approach and for a sequel to Gunn's Superman, maybe he fights the Authority and humbles them. Getting them to help with him, then he forms the JLA and it ends with Kingdom Come, going full circle on the whole optimism angle. Sorry for making this so long. I just love superheroes. DC especially.
@@usernamesmeannothing The Batman and Joker dynamic was the main thing I actually had in mind when I thought of this comment. One of them internalized their traumatic past and took it out on others. The other one used it as motivation to protect others and fight those who would hurt innocent people. Two sides of the same coin. Also, fellow Boys fan, let's go!
I always remember that "Iron Giant" scene when he sacrifices himself by flying directly into the atomic bomb and exploding in the air before it landed in the town, his last word was "Superman"
Iron giant is such a kind robot in ready player one he defends the main character sacrificing himself by becoming a walk way above a pit of lava truly a robot with a great heat
He also helped to defeat the KKK( by revealing their actual nature in a radio program I'm his early years), serves as the inspiration for many stories in various genres, and is still inspiring people to this day!
Superman isnt just a superhero, he is a symbol. A symbol of hope, a symbol for the ones who want create a better tomorrow. The S on his chest means Hope, and he should be the one that we aspire to be like. For he is our symbol.
Superman saved me when I was 14 lmao, I remember I was so close to failing school and then I watched the all star Superman movie and that’s when my brain snapped and now I’m a Superman fan as much as I am a Batman, spiderman and Godzilla fan
I lost my uncle three weeks ago to Stage IV Kidney Cancer (May 2nd, 2024) and whenever I listen to this I think of him. I’ve only recently discovered this version of “Starman” and it’s by far my favorite. To be honest, he’s my Superman because he was one of the few people in my extended family to make an effort for me despite living half-way across the world (Ukraine) and being an uncle through marriage. Superman is essentially *the* superhero. The guy who just does good things, and has the power to do all of it, no matter how tough, always with a smile on his face and an unyielding kindness. I wish that these types of characters were the ones that people would say “he just like me for real” towards
@@madmannn9576 yeah Batman is also good. He’s born into a place of privilege, but he still does anything and everything he can do to help. I’m not as big a fan as Batman compared to Superman, but you’re right, if people wanna be Batman then all power to ‘em.
I watched some Starman shorts of people being rescued with my son, he is 6. He looked at me and told me "you are my starman papa" NGL, that brought tears of joy. I told him, one day you will also be someone's Starman!

This world is cold, broken, and dark. But that doesn’t mean you have to be like it. being kind makes it just a bit warmer, and a bit brighter. You might never notice it, but it makes this world just a little better and fixes it, even if just a little.
One of my favorite panels is from a story where Batman is teaming with a street informant. During a ride in the Batmobile, the informant says “No offense, but Superman’s my favorite superhero.” And Batman says “It’s ok. He’s mine too.”

So one of the top comments is something like Homelander: "I suffered! Why shouldn't they!?" Superman: "I suffered, but I will do everything to make sure they don't." Has around 2.5k likes. I wanted to say something about that. I don't feel like Superman would say "But", rather, I think he'd say *And.* He knows what suffering is, and he isn't helping in spite of it. He's helping BECAUSE of it. That one word makes such a huge difference in my eyes. Both are selfless, but to say "And" implies an even deeper level of self sacrifice to me, which is exactly what Clark gives. He is our Star Man waiting in the sky.
It feels so good to see people love Superman again❤ after so many years of people calling him lame and all that weak shit. I think it took Omni-Man and Homelander to make us appreciate the boy from a small town who wants to do the right thing.
At first I went through a “villain arc” when I thought that was my best path until I realized that Jesus sacrificed himself for us and went through some of the worst pain imaginable but he still forgave his tormentors, that’s when I made a change and I’m going through my “hero arc” and I feel really good about myself and for making positive changes, it’s never too late. God bless 🙏✝️
"If you're gonna be a hero, be a real hero. Don't be a Hollywood hero type with all the BS and the yelling and the screaming and the trying to be tough. Be strong enough to be gentle." - Larry Cullen, inspiration for Optimus Prime
So I've been reading tons of comics online lately. The white knight series for Batman, Batman damned, the entire Batman who laughs saga, the entirety of injustice, and now I'm reading other Superman stories like Superman American alien. And I realize as I've grown up I understand now why Superman is significant as a character, I always thought he was dumb cause he's all powerful and shit but more recently I've realized the significance of him isn't that he's an all powerful god who happens to be a normal dude. It's that he's a normal, good, truly good person, who *happens* to be a god. It's an important character because he represents the absolute best of us despite all the opportunities to be anything else. He's meant to show us what we could be.
Superman isnt the greatest hero because he is the strongest. He is the greatest hero because of his kind heart, will to help others and want do his best for others.
Just remember, god loves you, there’s so much to enjoy in this world, don’t let a little thing ruin you, and whoever you are *I wish you the greatest of luck in life.*
The thing about superman is that he’s so unnatural, it’s his pure soul that shines through rather than his powers, having unlimited powers like this would tempt even the most just to become evil similar to the ring of Geyges from the republic which prevented anyone from seeing the evil of Geyges allowing him to use it to its fullest potential or the one ring in LOTR, strength from superman’s perspective is temptation that must be controlled rather than the Nietzschian notion that it is a tool to be used, and I love this about the character of superman, he does the right not because how he would be viewed by other, not out of weakness, but out of being driven by the human moral law.
Here’s the good part 0:58 Btw, you aren’t something little in the universe, even a small act of kindness can make a difference. Stand proud, you are strong.
@@hafis4941you’re not a loser, my friend, we’re all on different paths in life, and while you may not be where you want to be; never call yourself a loser, because I know you still have a lot of potential, and waste it, you will not.

I'm glad superman is starting to get love again. He's the ideal of what a hero should be, and yet, due to mis-use of him in stories, and the constant misunderstanding of what makes superman superman, it's rare for him to be seen as anything but a joke or a potential villain in the modern era.

Superman genuienly might be one of the only fictional characters to actually inspire me to be kinder and make a change in my life. Really shows why he is so amazing
I used to think that Superman was a one-dimensional basic superhero, all-powerful, all-loving boring BS. Villains like Homelander and Omni-Man were more appealing. An evil variant of Superman was more realistic because absolute power corrupts absolutely. But then you realise Superman is one of the greatest characters ever. Not because he's a superhero. It's not because of his superpower that makes him great. It's because besides the all-powerful, all-loving being, he is deep down an all-round great guy who just wants to do the right thing. In a world where there is not much kindness or positivity around, just being good and doing the right thing is a superpower in itself. Hope is a beautiful thing.
I'm sure people have pointed this out, but... Superman really is probably the best superhero of all time. I must admit that my favorite superhero is actually Batman, but Superman is better. And here's why: Superman HAS the power to do evil. There's virtually nothing that can stop Superman from committing crime and doing evil. But he doesn't. He instead does good because he can do that instead of evil. And we should strive to do the same. There's no such thing as "having to do evil." That is a choice, whether to do evil or good. Those who say they "have" to do evil are just coping and don't want to admit it really is a choice. You absolutely can do good. And you should do good. Even the small things count.
Though this song is normally associated with Superman, I wanted to share my story on how I have become the local superhero of my area, specifically the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Ever since summer of 2023 I have gone out in a Spider-Man costume to my local grocery store area, Those stores being Publix, Walmart, etc. and have tried to make the neighborhood a better place. I help people bring groceries to their car, I help cheer up kids who are having a bad day, I’ve fed the homeless, cleaned up trash, and overall have tried to make a positive difference in my neighborhood area. And the people here have seemed to love it. They always get a large smile on their face when they see me, and that I adore. Though some people give me tips and sometimes pay for my lunch before I get the chance to, I never ask for money in return for my actions. Happiness shouldn’t cost money. If I can make someone smile, I’ve gotten my reward. I’ve gone through horrible things, and when I put on that mask I feel happy, and if I can give someone that same feeling of joy, then I’m truly happy. If I can make someone smile from not having to haul all their heavy grocery’s to their car, I’m happy. If I can make a kid smile cause they got to see their favorite superhero, I’m happy. If I can make a homeless person smile cause they now have something to eat, I’m happy. If I can make local janitors happy from not having to clean up immense trash in the area, I’m happy. I love being Spider-Man. And if I could dress up as Superman, I so would. Sadly I don’t have the hair or body Lol. Though I spout off about wearing a costume and going out and doing these things. You don’t have to be in red and blue spandex to be a hero. You too can be Superman, Spider-Man, anyone. You can be a hero in your everyday life. All you have to do is try.
