Starmer has no mandate to go to Europe, and this statement has been echoing across various political platforms in recent weeks. The Labour Party's mandate to the British people is extremely flimsy, especially considering that only 20% of eligible voters actually cast their ballots for Labour. It raises the question: how can a leader with such a limited backing confidently approach negotiations with the EU? It seems that nowhere in Starmer's manifesto did it mention going to Europe and renegotiating our relationship with the EU, a significant issue for many voters who feel deeply about Brexit.
