Here's the NYC Ballet circa 1973 in a film shot in Berlin, with the worst possible editing and camera angles imaginable. Poor Balanchine was furious but there was nothing he could do. In any case, it's fun to watch the dancers cope with roving cameras stuck in their faces, and coping with being on cement floors. (This was long before the "sprung" dance floors common today. The credits run at the end, but Melissa Hayden was exactly 50 yrs-old at this time and Deni Lamont not too far behind. It's amazing what they were able to do under those circumstances.
