The cartoonist’s Stanley Tucci painting reminds me of the drawing by Pablo Picasso, Portrait of Igor Stravinsky, c. 1920 I really like it and his confidence in how he painted it.

Loved all of Indira's and Keiran's rendering of Stanley. Very surprised that that handsome face could not produce better likenesses. Kimberly's work was beautiful too, but had little likeness and needed another half hour or so.

The winner looked nothing like, could have been someone out of the audience. Even the hair colour was wrong. Maybe I am old fashioned, but to me a portrait should look like its subject otherwise it is a fail, however expertly executed.

I didn't like this competition. Each artist has their own style and it is not possible to compare one with the other in this way.

They are all trying so hard to be artistic, that they forget the most important part of a portrait, and that is the likeness. What sense is in a portrait competition, when in 80% of the paintings, you would not recognize who it is? I mean, they really had great subjects, 3 very distinguished faces, but most you would not identify if you did not see them right beside the paintings. Espeically the Hihghmore paintings were bad imho. Or the one 33:16....i mean really??? You would never guess who it is supposed to be. 33:31 - made an old overweight person out of the actor. I want to cry when I see what they did to those beautiful people :(. I liked most of the competitions in this series I have binged so far, but this one is bad really.

The paintings were all terrible - and none of the artists did him or herself a favor, working under time limit and under the limit of the situation - if you are not into speed painting - well just don't do it! And the Judges - who gives them the competence? Definitely not the public!
