The 2.0 version isn't just the video, they re-recorded the songs on that album. I personally prefer the original (the first one you clicked on) because it has more of a grittiness to it. I like the unpolished sound of it.
My favourite band, and I'm also Aussie if I'm hearing the accent right. Yeah, this is one of the odder videos though I did read somewhere it did correlate with the song if you fully read into it, but too much effort haha. All their videos have a story behind them as every song/album has a story behind it, so not sure how you'd feel about the others, though they're much much better than this one. Manifest for example in my opinion is one of their bests for video/music in one. All their songs have an outro that lead into the next which is what that bit at the end was, so they're skippable for the most part except for a few certain. It's kinda hard with Starset since they're so different in that way, like they even have a book with a backstory to everything and all, so some songs/videos come off odd unless they're listened to in album order. Something Wicked kind of falls to this since it's somewhere between an outro, normal song and a story song, though definately worth the listen. Anyway, some other great ones to listen to are Devolution, Telekinetic and Gravity Of You, one of my favourites btw, for more screams/heavy. Where The Skies End, Other Worlds Than These, Unbecoming for more of a straight rock feel, and Ricochet, Perfect Machine, Diving Bell and definately Everglow for their more cinematic/ballad like songs. Everglow is seriously underrated and also has an epic scream towards the end. Love the video, keep it up! (Sorry for the long comment, I kinda get into Starset a bit too much haha)
The 2.0 version has more symphonic and less electronic elements, the strings partially replace the electronics from the original. You'd think that's an upgrade, and I'd usually agree, though not in this case. The original sounds heavier and that really goes well with the screams. I don't see why they made a second version, it's just worse. Unfortunate that you chose that one to listen to.
Nice finally someone who reacts to starset songs 😍 literally every single song from them is insanely good but here are some recommendations: manifest, telekinetic, everglow, die for you :) i personally love those the most
So the video is a story of a couple who wind up in a plot to find that billionaire's fortune, with the wife kidnapped and the husband scrambling to track it down before she's killed. Plot twist: the wife was behind it, she wasn't kidnapped, and she kills him and takes it all for herself. It does tie to the lyrics of the song. "There's something inside you that isn't right, there's something that haunts your dreams at night. There's something that you have lost, and you're bringing it down on top of us." It's certainly not their best video (I'd personally say Ricochet gets that) but it's still interesting imo.
Check out these songs by starset Manifest Carnivore Monster Frequency My Demons Unbecoming Devolution The Breach Symbiotic Alchemy Lots of great songs starset have
2.0 is a different song, but I personally like 2.0 a bit better, its like an upgrade to the original rather than just acoustic like most of Vessels 2.0 Also I loved the video but it makes more sense when you dig really deep into STARSET's lore. They like to tell stories, not just make generic music videos. STARSET has honestly some of the best music videos I have ever seen and if you read their book, the Prox Transmissions, a lot of things make more sense, like the device he is using to extract memories from the dead being an old version of the BMI used nowadays in their lore.
@@unknownuser4275 The music video is a B-grade video to me. Can’t blame them though. Starset isn’t that famous so I assume they didn’t have much budget. It’s sad that bands with God-tier songs like this are overlooked by most people
