Some of Starsets heavies -telekinetic -bringing it down -gravity of you -etc Songs with a breakdown -telekinetic -frequency -bringing it down -etc Just the ones off the top off my head
Starset is one of my favorite bands for a plethora of reasons, them being creative in their musical mashup/lyrics and intelligent to name a couple. Dustin Bates, the lead singer, has a PhD in some kind of technological field (that I can’t remember), and is also an expert on astronomy. He uses these experiences and knowledges of his and makes a sci-fi story (more akin to a technology warning-think Black Mirror) for each album. Starset is unique, even though they may seem basic as someone in the comments said, but there is no one truly like them. Great reaction! I recommend Bringing it Down v2 and Monster!
Love Starset but I’m not gonna lie. I was right there with you at the beginning. Those electronic sounds had me kinda worried but as the song went on I was jamming to it. Great review👍🏼. “Satellite” and “Let It Die” are other good ones to check out by them
The one thing you can't digitize is the way Dustin can growl/ scream (scrowl? lol idk..) it's magical tho whatever it is and even live it sounds amazing. Very underrated band, very good band, very band. Indeed. That is all. 👍
Though Dustin has a god tier voice it's just this song some of them have his voice edited and others not so much, and even with the added electronic effected instruments sometimes his voice is real and it's beautiful. They are super amazing at mixing and playing around with their executions of things into perfection.
I don't know how many requests you already got but I'd highly recommend "telescope". It's absolutely gorgeous and kind of emotional. And "carnivore" is a classic and the music vid shows the actual band if you are interested. They are technically classified as electronic rock and alt metal but like to call themselves "cinematic rock" because most of their stuff sounds like a sci-fi movie soundtrack and they are known for having often big orchestral outros (one of my favorite of those being "antigravity"). Especially from their debut album "transmissions". They mix orchestrals and electronics really well to give off this this unique sound.
Love the distorted notes at the start of the verses, great lyrics too. I recommend Telekinetic by them, mixes the heaviness with electronic again, goes heavier than this one too.
Nice reaction! Starset will always be my NUMBER ONE and favorite band! 🔥 OWTT is definitely a Top-Tier song! They're so unique, it's insane! Also Dustin's voice ❤
I feel like the review part of this vid was structured very well for watch time. I found myself attached to hearing out why you really liked the song and you didn't spill the beans right away, which is smart for watch time.
I ALMOST stopped this and said NOT for me... HATED that techno intro, NOT my cup of tea for music, after a few bars in YES finally better! NOW I can handle this! lol
this album transmissions has a futuristic space metal vibe and seems the concept album is one of my favorite albums of all time along the sides of disturbs believe, avenged sevenfolds waking the fallen, and tools lateralus. this band has their music liberated but within confines unlike lateralus but much like believe. loved your reaction because it very much mirrored my own when I came across this band in my pandora binges.
Love Starset. Would love if you checked out Time, the Valuator. Their debut album takes on a similar concept of space like Starset’s whole sound but completely different in the way they are more djent/metalcore sounding.
This is Linkin Park, slummin'! I heard Blue Oyster Cult likes to play small gigs incognito, so, this could be Linkin Park. I'm not a huge LP fan, but I identified the important features when I listened to them, and I'm sensing a strong match. Dictators is an example of a band who has maintained a fanatical loyalty to the *analog* production chain, refusing to use Pro-Tools and its ilk. Purists will break the bank! There must be a happy middle ground...
David... At least you have NOT had to listen to K-Pop songs for Reacts!!!! I SHOULD be a arse hole and request one since you hated that last one and this start spooked you! lol. I am not that cruel to do that to you, but for a second I WAS tempted! lol
I'd reccomend you some Devin Townsend. "Deadhead- Live at royal Albert hall". Also the song "Storm". Think you'll really dig it if you haven't heard of him.
I've heard "of" him...but I've never heard anything "by" him. I'm definitely intrigued....been told by a lot of friends that I should check him out. Guess I'll have to now. Added to the que
I don't see that one in the que, so it would have to be a fresh request. @@THEDavidHeretic ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-97sYm0Bkd3Y.html the actual title might be a little rude tho but I think it fits with the songs sound.
Well, it'll depend the age of your kids. But NF is a good rapper. Doesn't curse, isn't part of the main stream. Simply talks about his problems. His newest song Clouds was trending as #1.
I don't think it's fair to call anything about Starset 'generic sounding rock'. They don't sound like standard rock, or standard electronic, or standard pop, anything like that. They're pioneers man
@@torunsmok5890 hmm I guess we disagree. But I’m a guitar fan and less electronic. It follows the formula of today’s rock music. Predictable. Like I said. It’s safe with my kids in the car. As opposed to something like I would listen to alone, like Killswitch Engage LoL If generic isn’t the right word then I could also call it “safe rock” they would be on my playlist with Linkin Park
@@torunsmok5890 ok. My Apple Music has recommended Starset and it’s been playing a few songs from them. I loved everyone of them. LoL don’t ask me what the names were I can’t remember. One was Carnivore
@@THEDavidHeretic You've already done Pearl Jam covering them. That's all the Pink Floyd you'll ever need😀 You haven't experienced Pink Floyd until you've heard them in the original Pearl Jam!
You should give Diving Bell by Starset a listen. It's one of their best vocal displays + the music video is great. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P6hbIPy_H9o.html
I would absolutely love to see you react to Idles. It's quite the band and live performance. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l116zoMBl1Y.html
"Telekinetic" is already in the que, added your name to the requesters. I don't see "Trials" or "Ricochet" in the que, so they would have to be fresh requests. @@THEDavidHeretic thank you for seeing my request. But sadly I dont have the funds to be a patron supporter. But once I get money perhaps I'll give it a try. Btw are you gonna say my name when you tell everyone who suggested it?
