Starset made a return visit to the award-winning Studioeast. Check the chat with Stino, plus acoustic versions of 'Telepathic'(2:26), 'Unbecoming' (9:45), 'Satellite' (16:58)
woah dustin's vocals have really improved. he's no longer pushing unnecessarily for power, and definitely has more control. still room to grow (he gets a little nasal at times, but that does show that he's actually putting his high notes where they should be - in the head) but DAMN
You can see how he's trying to do that high pitched scream singing during that unbecoming chorus. He nails that these days with the recent manifest, monster and unbecoming live performances
11:05 OOOps, wrong line. Glad I'm not the only one who messes that up! Edit: Oh gosh. I didn't even realize this, but he does it again at 12:25 and 13:34 ; A.K.A the rest of the song.😂
Danny Klitsch It's supposed to be "Knives in the backs of Martyr's, *Lives in the burning fodder* ". Instead he said, "Knives in the backs of Martyr's, *Tried, but it pushed back harder* " Which is a line from the previous verse.
Who's that woman that is in starset? I don't know everyone in the bands that i listen to (except skillet) plus who's the other people. Only name i know is Dustin
That's Siobhán Cronin, she plays the violin on their tours atm. Bass player is Ron, percussion/drums is Adam and guitar is Brock. The celloist I don't really know. When I saw them live, Mariko was their celloist, but I think it just depends on who's available for live performances.
Siobhán Cronin, but now Siobhán Richards. She married guitarist Brock Richards. Lucky guy. Siobhán is a classically-trained violinist world-renowned. She also performs with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Rod Stewart, and many other musical groups.
The thing is, its not even the hardest song in vessels. Monster, ricochet and gravity of you are very hard to sing. He's put in a lot of effort to sing live
