The Starship performing "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" at The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, California on August 24th, 2018. This was from the 6:30 p.m. early show (there was a 2nd free show at 8:30 p.m. also) Band lineup:
Mickey Thomas-vocals, acoustic guitar
Stephanie Calvert-vocals
John Roth-guitar, backing vocals (formerly of Winger)
Darrell Verdasco-Drums (formerly of KBC)
Jeff Adams-bass, backing vocals
Phil Bennett-keyboards, backing vocals
This song originally appeared on the soundtrack to the 1987 film "Mannequin" as well as the Starship album "No Protection" and was a huge hit for the band.

Saw them perform this (and their other hits) in my city 3 years ago, part of an 80's celebration night with them, Billy Ocean, Taylor Dayne, The Motels and Naked Eyes. I was glad I got to see them once more before Mickey left us. Awesome video!!

I know this is Ancient Starship history, but I can't believe no record company has re-mastered "Modern Times" as of yet for release! That is not only Jefferson Starship's best record BY FAR, but also Craig Chaquico's Guitar solos on "Save Your Love" and "Stranger" are absolute, melodic-masterpieces !!

As far as I know it was only re-mastered and released in Japan in the very late 90's. I've been told it sounds fantastic, but copies of it are expensive now and I have not heard that edition. I agree, Craig's guitar work on "Stranger" is amazing!
