The best way I put it It’s like playing an RTS but from the pov of your grunt infantry Nothing like it out there, it’s a blast to play, and the community is super chill
It’s really awesome! I wish even more people would get it. Battles are so good, no battle pass rubbish, traditional progression, you want it, earn XP, simple.
I'm doing my part! Killing bugs while dealing with bugs. The game is a solid 9/10 for starship trooper fans, 7/10 for anyone else. It still needs polish and patch work, also sad they hiked the price by $20 on release with $40 of DLC cosmetics. Also the PC version is an absolute mess at the moment and the "single player" mode is very lackluster. It's still a great time killing bugs with friends, it's great not having friendly fire and the endless pile of corpses never gets old.
More maps, bugs, weapons, perks, attachments, mechs, in-game events (bug holes), further optimizations, and much more have already been announced (via their roadmap). Check it out!
Yeah sounds great to me! It only gets better from here on. Truly a very solid and fun Game! On SX my bro PS5. The SX as of now performance is generally 15 to 20 FPS better than PS5 in extreme cases.
If you're on Series X put your sound quality to low and performance on high quality it seems to be working the best of me though I'm still getting kicked from games randomly I have not tested this on series s reply here if you have
Ps5 has helldivers this is 50 bucks a ps5 used is 295 plus 50 + 14 for ps network... You would buy hell divers to have the starship troopers experience if you didn't have a pc. This ladies and gentlemen is the best thing to happen to xbox in a long while it's straight. Woke free. Badass. And epic.
This is a game where microsoft needs to invest in. Imagine halo like this. Or even a gears x halo and they both fight off alien bugs . Almost like 1st person helldivers. But add story and a end game. Add online objective keep the graphics low because we want huge maps and big battle
I know that they will patch something in the game that probably needs some more working and others stuff as well. But for my own personal experience the game is a solid 5/5
I didn't expect this game to be out so soon. I honestly thought it was still in development. But regardless I will probably give this game a chance. I love hell divers 2 and I grew up watching starship troopers 💯❤️🔥🎮🎥
The game is amazing and total blast! Sure, there's a few bugs (pun intended), the story is absolute garbage and the AI glitches like crazy, but the game was made for Live and that's where it's at. If you wanted to know what it was like for everyone in those movies fighting for Citizenship, horde mode is a perfect example, lol.
That's a feature, the bug carnage system. The lag is from the servers getting pounded lol. Performance would be impacted by bug quantity, but it seems the performance drops are more random as opposed to specifically from the grind of bugs.
@@Theloststreamer crashing can be performance based or just game bugs. It seems to have an issue where going from dropship to menu crashes are present from what I've read from people's comments. I noticed it crashes changing from performance to quality but few will do that I'd wager.
If they fix the crashing, network issues and other stuff then i'd buy it. I have spotted a graphical issue: pop-in and reverse pop in. Noticed when you are close to small rocks or (sometimes) floor plates they disappear also when you run towards them. (floor plates quickly reappear) But it is fricking STARSHIP TROOPERS! Seen all the movies, as well as the old animated series. (Roughneck Chronicles) Sad that that series wasn't completed. This game really let's you see that fleet does the flying while the Mobile Infantry does the dying. Don't hate on them though, hate on the officers for sending you into the meat grinder and having bad Psi-Ops info. :P
For anyone thinking of playing on ps5 your gonna struggle because the ps5 has shared Ram between the cpu and gpu. So games with lots of npcs and bullet physics will be your down fall. Xbox series x users youll be okay as ur gpu has dedicated ram but the game is still basically in works soo give it a few mo ths and it will be bettetter. On pc its pretty fine
A glorified lengthy slog fest. Boring and devoid of any real story you run through the same tunnels again and again and listen to Casper's narration. Team AI is dumb as shit also. Don't buy it if you just want to play a "campaign" it's just not here what you are looking for
This game doesn't look like it should be struggling on the new consoles, the graphics aren't exactly its strong suit. Im thinking i might still pick it up though on PS5.
Even with cross play off it still dashboard me alot. I checked my internet but I got a ping between 15 and 25 so thats good. I hard restart my xbox. Still it keeps dashboarding me half way or near the end of the game. They really need to fix this.
We did it last night by selecting the same network region (I.e. US East), then starting the same mission at the exact same time and then being put into the same game. Once in there, you can pull up the scoreboard and select them to add as a friend. If anyone has a better way, I’m all ears. Good luck. The devs have posted on Reddit about improving the social functionally.
There's like a bit of a single player, but it's basically like the single player all these multiplayer games get where it's not really much of anything
I love the game solid 9/10 lots of dead bugs 🐞 and it doesn’t get glitch I love the thing that if bugs die in the door that closes it won’t close because of the body in between the doorway all this things add up to a great game. I play it yesterday when it came out it’s great the game has a lot of great potential.
In all honesty this game looks like what most people wanted helldivers to be 1) more players in a squad 2) more bugs 3) some sort of AI to make it not so bare and isolated(I could be wrong about the AI but I’m assuming it’s only 4/16 players playing and the rest are AI
Yeah I would rate this game three stars out of five it would be higher except I continuously crash every time I extract on the Dropship so I can't even level up or gain any XP there's no point to me playing this and this is really fun with friends and if I don't crash, some a-hole PC player boots me and my entire Squad to main menu simply because we're all on Xbox. I would avoid this game if i were you until they fix all the stability issues and add better anti-cheat.
Not trying to shit on you or anything but why does this new generation of gamers care about leveling up and collecting xp 😭 what happened to hopping on and simply having a few hrs of shenanigans and laughters with friends( i don’t live under a rock ik devs give you rewards for levels but it’s a pve game)

Be aware!! It is free on PC but it’s in the insider program on Xbox Meaning you can’t record the game yet, I’d wait for an open beta or something The RU-vidrs that are playing are on PC and have a contract with them
ps5 version is ugly in performance mode and laggy in quality mode. A Case for PS5pro. But in every case ps5 has the better optimized version than xbox cuz PS5 didnt crash the game
They are adding more to it over time since they finally hit 1.0 here but right now there's like a huge global push that gives cosmetic rewards. Its gained by playing in company's and its lasting 80 days
Just picked this up with a buddy; Off the rip: EXTREMELY UNOPTIMIZED GAME. No real controller support, Aim assist, aim smoothing, no custom maps or alternative mappings at all. AI is EXTREMELY basic, and has an incredibly difficult time killing you if you're up anywhere that isnt built. Ammunition is consistently an issue when playing public, you don't really get to enjoy anything until you hit level 5 for extra ammo, even then you're probably going to run out regardless of what you do (largely because of controller being entirely ignored during the port.) Guilds/clans are LITERAL RNG IF YOU CAN GET INTO ONE WITH FRIENDS. There is absolutely NO invite, or search function, but the game will prompt you to join one every time. I understand this guy is praising, but please look up multiple guides before purchasing for console atleast, clearly there's a bias in this review, and none of the downsides are mentioned. Would not have purchased this if I didn't look exclusively at PC reviews, give it a few days to look at other reviews coming from console, this is 100% a shit port at the moment. Thank you for your time. TL;DR: Bad port, lots of massive issues that are not addressed in this review, do not buy at this time.

Not every game needs unlimited players lol. It's a coop game, as long as you're finding sixteen player lobbies to work together then it's fine. It's not a competitive shooter or a free to play game haha.
