Honorable mention to Ram and Buck especially Ram on coastline it makes playing kitchen nightmare fuel especially if your top floor roamers aren't doing their job.
People need to watch this vid. I'm done playing console ranked with Jackal, Dok, Fenrir, and Kapkan banned everytime. I like banning them sometimes, but every match makes no sense. Love this vid!
Pick and ban is such an underused feature in ranked. I'm usually only seeing a combination of jackal, dokkaebi, thatcher, solis, fenrir and azami banned. People are just not willing to change their habits to experience a great asset in ranked.
Yea but having to play against said annoying ops like ying,monty,fenrir ect is annoying because you have to bring ops that you prob dont wanna play and that makes the game unfun@BMP
It also depends on how you’re playing. You’ll ban differently based on solo, full stack or whatever. If it’s just me and a friend Mira is an automatic ban just because we don’t have the full team coordination to deal with it and randoms on my team just get wrecked by her.
I grinded into platinum last season. Most bans were Jackal, Ying, Dokkaibi, Kaid, Mira, and Azami. I understand Ying and Kaid, but Jackal isn’t even that good. Yes his gun is great, but his gadget just makes me want to pick Dokkaibi or Deimos. With Mute, I completely understand, as mute is one of the most overpowered starting characters. Even Ash is a decent ban because a lot of sweats use her, and by denying that from the sweats, they have to pick a new op
Glad someone like you is making this video. I am sick and tired of people in ranked banning the same ops. When Pick and ban came out back in phantom sight y4s2, I had a strat to ban sledge. Reasoning why is sledge was picked a lot back then having frags and him being a 2 speed was good. Banning him allowed me and my friends to run castle and maestro effectively. Castle back then still had 3 barricades and no super shorty. leaving the opposing team to have to use ash/zofia charges to rid the armor panels just so the evil eyes will still be intact for play. Thank you for trying to break this dumb brain dead r6 community on bans. P.S. I started banning oregon in the map bans to try to get nighthaven labs and lair so opposing team gets mad and they play worse.
Before watching this video my stack and I permaban the following operators; Azami and Dokkaebi. If either one is banned by the opposite team we usually ban Ying, Montagne, Fenrir or Kaid.
Recently I’ve been using Blackbeard because he’s too powerful and versatile, combined with Osa and I got 2 aces in my ranked match I played, he is too OP for some reason.
All good bans but I am yet to find someone who can play half these operators to a good enough level where banning them over common operators is useful. I have not met a single Mavrick player who can open a wall on his own, for example. good bans in scrims I guess?
I think azami is a good shout too, depending on how you play she can be a great ban. She can waste time and block angles so easily and with wamai disc etc she can be a nuisance to clear. And if you want more validity to banning Azami there a reason why at the last pro league event she was banned 40% of the time out of all defenders.
My personal choices for Op bans are the following: Defense: Fenrir Melusi Cav Kaid Clash Attack: Ying Dokkebai Jackal Kali Blitz And the reasons I tend to choose these ops to ban is due to typically using a more methodical approach to the game and typically set up to execute, like playing ops like Glaz, Castle, Lion, Mute, Fuze, Mira, etc. I'm usually only Plat so disagree or flame me if you will
Even though you made this video i still cant believe lower rank still ban clash and they will sht talk to you if you tried to ban someone like mira/kaid/valk
Yeah for the most part, I don't know much about meta on console, but most of the general principles apply, like banning warden being strong for allowing you to run Ying & Capitao for free or banning Kaid/Tubarao being important for making breaching easier
