Fantastic! I've always had success with basil. This year I'd like to try a few different types, so I got seeds for them. My favorite is just "regular" basil, like Genovese. I'm really looking forward to lemon basil, just like I love lemon thyme. I figured I'd try cinnamon basil, because the scent is suppose to deter some pests. And I'll try Thai basil because I've never had it before. Thanks Gary!

Just too expensive. A pack of $2 seeds will make 20 of those pots. Cost is one thing too but I found over the years they just dont grow well. ok I’m listening 👂🏿 and I totally agree, so now I’m buying my own seeds, so far so good I’m just dropping my seeds in a canister because I do not have too much room in my yard so they’re on my porch, shade and some sun ☀️ hey and I’ll just wait patiently for everything, I did the same thing and carrots, and I did the same thing with my garlic and it’s starting to sprout, and spinach, celery, grow and beautiful, known about some welded wire, to make it more sturdier to metal trellis place in a large canister for my banana nut squash, this is getting addictive lol 😂 thanks for all of your help. Im going to try your suggestion of succession planting this year because although it's easy to grow, I never seem to have enough to last all summer. But ive neber tried succession planting, so I'll be doing that this year. Thanks for the suggestion.

Not in any significant way. Just contact the leaves and limit soil contact the best you can. I have some now that it's purple basil they got their first true leaves out and there's probably like 3 to 4 per person and I don't know if I should transplant them or leave them should I put them in their own pot individually or just leave them together

I just tear the root ball down the center. Some plant die but you get 2 nice clumps. If there are 3 or4 seeds that came up and they are not easily split. I just leave them. yes you can start most any seed indoors without grow lights. Simply sow the seeds and place them near a window that receive a few hrs of sunlight. Depending on the amount of hrs of sunlight that window receive per day, you can very well grow the entire plant from seed to harvest.
